This video is a bit longer than usual as these chairs have many details that I wanted to show to make a good tutorial.
This time the materials are listed at the beginning of the video. Waxed cotton cord is available in bead stores. I have purchased the thread covered wire also from a bead store, but it is a bit more difficult item to find. I think a nice result could be achieved also by using a metal wire (0,8 - 1mm) and painting it with matt paint though I have not tested that myself.
I have a set of 40 year old 1/24 scale woven whicker garden furniture. It is made of dental floss and there was no template. the woman was a true artist.
Wow
I made your wicker chair I'm 1:24 scale and posted a video lol I credited this tutorial and told my viewers to come visit you. Mine is called Cozy Slippers and Wicker Chair. Thanks for the great instructions 👍👍👍👍
Thank you :) I will check out your video. I have never tried making anything in 1:24 scale. Smallest I have done has been 1:18 scale.
What a darling set! You make it look easy, but I’m betting it’s a bit more challenging than it appears! Beautiful work!!
So nice to see a fresh take on building with cardboard! You are very gifted. Keep creating!
Where was the cardboard in this video?
Nice woven chair. It would be a great addition to a dollhouse. Looks lovely!
I love making the wicker furniture. The design with the crossed wires is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing!
This is a great video. Thank you so much. Your detailed steps are spot on. Now I have to go raid my stash for all these materials and make a wicker chair of my very own. ❤😊
OMG! You are amazing! I loved it. I will never be able to do that. No patience or precision. But you have all of these qualities. I congratulate you. Happy New Year my darling.
I can do the wicker part just didn't know how to end them and make it look cute. Thanks for sharing and Happy Easter
Amazing
that is so cool. Thank you for sharing!
Love it! ❤😊
This is fantastic. Thanks. I hope I can make one as beautiful as yours 😊
How clever, love them. TFS
Oh my goodness I just now found your channel. This is adorable I would love to make this because it reminds me of my grandmother. You make it so fast and looks easy, but I’m not sure I grasped all the steps appropriately to be able to make one. I sure wish I could.
Turn off the sound and then slow the video down it makes it easier to see the steps.
I’m going to make it Barbie size first just to get the feel for it and then will down scale it to my 1/12 doll house size. For the Barbie size I will use twine but will coat it in glue to tame the fibers on the twine, this should also help with the weaving as it will be firm but flexible. I think 14 g wire should work at that size but it will be stiffer to bend the X shape so the use of players will be needed.
I hope this helps you to give it a go
Awesome wicker chair! This is so inspiring me. Would love to make one😊

Sorry for a very late response. I have been trying to find material to try these in 1:6 size, but haven't found yet. Will definitely try someday and make a video also.

Hi. Very beautiful...how to make the centre table
Basic technique is the same as the front part of the chairs.
Wonderfull. What kind of glue do you use.

So far I have been selling in local FB groups only, but I am planning on opening Etsy shop in near future.

what white glue are you using? wood glue? also what paint do you use? great video by the way!
I use a glue called Erikeeper. I use many different brands of ordinary acrylic craft paints.
@@johannaksminilife2153 thanks Johnanna. I had a try and it turned out great.
What are the exact measurement of the bass wood! 🙏🏻
New Subscriber..This is Absolutely Amazing!!!🥰😳 How did you learn this and how long does it take you? These are so gorgeous! I am Definitely gonna try a pair. I love these so much..🤗Wow!! Thank You So Much for sharing!💖💖
I'm happy to hear you are enjoying my channel. Another wicker furniture tutorial is coming up soon. A member in my old doll's house club showed us years ago how to make a very simple wicker basket. After that, I just started making bigger and more complicated projects basically through trial and error. Even after making hundreds of wicker pieces, this does still take a good while to make.
@@johannaksminilife2153 I am very thankful you have shared this, bc wicker pieces are so expensive and I am pretty sure I have these materials. So thank you so much..I'm excited to give this a try!! 🤗❤️
What size is the drill piece you use?
When I use a finger drill (like on this video), I use 1mm drill piece. If I use my Dremel multi tool, I use 1.2mm drill piece.
Great video, how long do you cut the wire?
The longer pieces are about 8cm. It's more than is needed, but left overs that are at least 2-3cm can be used in other furniture.
wow thats an amazing chair😲 May I ask what is the size of basswood?
It's 2,5mm thick and 5,5cm wide piece
thank you very much 😃
😮😮😮😮😮😮
Thank you 🤗
WOW!
Amazing!
