Love the spybait. It's my absolute confidence bait for finesse fishing. Duo has just about a spybait to every water situation. For smaller sizes, Daiwa also makes a few good ones too; the Gekkabijin and the Gustnado at the smallest size. I also like to add a blade treble to the back of all my spybaits as well, gives that extra flash to it.
Awesome vid! Jam-packed with great info. Best part for me is when you say "...if I could only have one...". Duo and other brands have such a wide selection with colours and sizes, sometimes it's hard to make a choice, especially when you're just starting out with a new technique. Your recommendations definitely helped me decide on what to get. Look forward to the next drop!!
Awesome video, definitely a technique I need to get back into! Also I don't know if it's just me but there's about a 12 second period where the video is just black starting at the 10:15 mark
I don't know if you'll see this as I am watching this mid June , when you make reference to you leader length ; double the pole length. Are you then casting with a pole length or so from tip of rod? Not judging just looking for clarification . Thank you for your content and advice.
Depends for the Duo I do not. For the Nishine I always do. My recommendation is to fish it how it comes out of the pack and adjust from there. With the Baby Abino it comes with a snap and I’ve just grown fond of it👊
Good information.
For those who throw bfs, try the 740 Dobyns bfs rod.... perfect for spy baits.

I love that gustnado tried for along time to bring them in. The blade idea is definitely something to think about t👊

Really excellent video
Good Descriptive video, I didnt know about these lures.
Thanks for checking it out. They catch em for sure.
Awesome video, I agree the ‘flyssa’ and ‘the one’ are killer spy bait rods, that little 60 would be cool on bfs…
That little 60 is bad ass
awesome video travis! need to throw more spybaits this year for sure!
They really can pick up a few extra fish 💪

Got it fixed thank you !
How do you guys feel about the new 7’6 zillion spinning rod with stinger tip for this?
I really like the 7’3M in the zillion for this . they fish light imo

I cast with maybe 12-18in of line out. I haven’t had any issues reeling the knot into the spool so far
If you are a budget guy the Chris Johnston Hair Jig rod is killer.
Awesome suggestion, love that rod
Do you tend to use a clip or tie direct?
