Yeah pretty sure this isn't anything new. I've been fishing carrot stick type baits on darter heads for years. Even rip a robo worm in half and put it on a darter head.

have you tried the G Loomis nrx plus inshore 840s I think it's the lightest nrx Rod available. what I'm hoping for is a trout series rod from nrx. on that 840s the parabolical bend is crazy and can land pretty big fish I caught 7 lb drum on it.

They do have a 2.5" Sakamata now (or at least in Japan they do) 😁. Also the 2" is responsible for my largest laker through the ice so far this winter! (might only be like 17-18" long but still 😂)

Question: What rod would you guy use for throwing a 1/8 Megabass Okashira Screwhead with a spark shad and 80 size spy baits? Looking at the nrx 902s, daiwa (the one) and the Megabass flyssa.

The plastic might make a difference, but it’s a darter jig head style. Mainly like a tube. But this style is fishing in the middle of the water column vs. on bottom. But you can do the same on both, just depends on the plastic.

you can do this with a 1/16th oz jig head and a berkly jerk shad.....

People you can do this with a senko and a finesse worm don’t waste on a bunch of lures stick to the basics

This was great. I put out a video on catching big striped bass on Ned rigs. I learned it from chasing bass on my home lake and accidentally realizing the big Striper hammer them. They def require you to increase the hook strength. They will straighten a light wire pretty easily .
