I do niche and low volume because I enjoy it. I never want to work toward a high dollar amount, and take the joy out of it. I challenge myself by shopping the bins 99% of the time.
If your sourcing at the bins, there is no way to work up to a high dollar amount. Same amount of sales can net you way ore when you start spending more :)
I've sold a lot of car manuals. The key is to get the ones that were issued by the brand, rather than the Chilton and Haynes manuals. Picked up 3 John Deere manuals, got from $45 to $75 per manual. I did pick up some Chilton & Haynes manuals in a fill a bag book sale: bag of books for $1. I picked up at least 20 for that $1. Been selling those manuals, anywhere from $8 to $20. Some won't ever sell. Those will be donated.
The Black Rifle mugs were my buy. Been thinking about them for a while. Gifts for son & daughter-in-law. Appreciate all your videos! And I hope to not have to use my Detroit Lions dammit doll the rest of the season!
I'm going through something similar with sourcing right now. Usually fall is a great time in my area for yard sales and church sales, etc. However we have had 2 major hurricanes hit our area recently and there are very few sales going on out there. Having to source from GW, etc, right now. Having to be very careful about cost of goods. My 90 day total is half what it was in the spring. I've got to make 4th quarter count!
You also have a great opportunity in visiting Dave to source among others in the warm climates. I need to figure out my favorite things to ask for. Rod pointed this out the other day and I'm still thinking on it. I ran out of space. That's what is causing my changes and being far more picky. Thank you for Commons and I sold those warhammer cards which were taking up a spot in my jewelry section. I need to do a live... dibdit. I think a person to play off of would be ideal for me.
Here in Missouri we have winter time so garage sales are non existent. I have had to change my sourcing also the past few years. I can't handle the volume of a storage unit or a basement clean out. So I started doing estate sales on 50 and 75 percent off days. I never go on first day UNLESS it is family ran. Family ran estate sales will usually accept offers. But Man! I wish I could handle a storage unit! I would love to go through one!
Yard sales are becoming seriously iffy for a lot of us, even in Tag Sale Season. My few thrift stores...one of the small ones is seasonal, and one just closed "for the forseeable future". The bigger dealers here actively advertise for estates to clean out; they have to. Estate sales aren't happening either and they have to do something. The ones that still do are usually a long distance away , priced aggressively, and competitive. If you're a reseller you do what you have to.
Enjoy watching your videos. I am a small time mercari seller and have not started selling on eBay. I have a great inventory but think it would move better on eBay. Any suggestions.
I appreciate that you always keep it real and you are never arrogant. You are so humble and grateful. For this I will always support you and your endeavours. From your biggest Canuck fan🇨🇦
eBay is killing my vibe and killing me softly "_" I want to leave after 18, years. I opened my store and I spent a month plus listing daily because they offered me a store subscription with 3 months of no subscription fees ( They didn't honor). eBay has now put me in a lower performance seller rating and even went so far to look back over a year to find enough to find me below standard. I am selling barely enough to cover the fees for the subscription. Only $27.95 and the final value fees have increased. I'm so disappointed. Been on eBay for 18+ years. Stuck it out and I'm feeling so SO So very Betrayed. I wish I never opened an #eBay store. I had less fees 😢 Less stress... I'm defeated and disappointed. I am not working and had hope for at least money for food and travel to appointments. .
eBay didn't put you below standard, you did. You don't go below standard from one mistake. And your fees increased because you are below standard. None of that is because you opened a store. But if you aren't selling enough to cover the store subscription, drop the subscription. Just use the free plan.
@WellnessWizdom I have to make sure you realize not every case is text book. I have been on eBay for 18 years. I know where my faults are on eBay with the below standard. There was a mistake on eBays end for not keeping information readily available for the next agent that is speaking with a seller. There's more than meets my annoyance than the text book answer.
OK, we want to see a storage unit video! Can you compete with Locker Nuts, Wades Ventures, 2nd Cents, Jebus? Their videos are a lot of fun because you never know what will be in a box when it is opened live on camera.
QUESTION.. I have just dipped my foot into a rabbit hole and need to know what is happening.. I was researching prices on an item in the recently sold and noticed one was sold way above market. Of course we all know a plethora of reasons why that could be, but about 30 minutes later I'm researching another item and I see the same thing, and notice it's the same seller. I go into their store and I look at their feedback, it is an endless sea of long, detailed, positive reviews. And they are all word for word identical, and all by different buyers. And the size of the store and qty sold is extremely impressive.. so I just do a quick Google search and it turns out to be the number one store on the site... But there are Sooo many Extremely overpriced sold listings that can't be real. I would bet my house on it. Plus the endless scrolling of 100% identical feedback, as long as this comment, all different buyers.. What the heck is that about?!
Kevin bought cartridges from a vape shop, and they're printer cartridges.(LOL) The shop threw in a baggie of the green stuff that smells worse than catnip. Am I the only one trying hard not to laugh?
New t-shirt idea right there…”It’s Tupperware, I can’t help it!” 😂
Kevin, I just love the Muttley tee shirt, it just put a smile on my face just remembering watching Hanna Barbera on Saturday mornings!
You're expanding and excited 😊 God Bless You With Great Investments ✅
Enjoy your time with family. It is precious 💖
You are inspiring & candid.
Ty for sharing.

Happy Halloween! 🎃 Love to see all the great sales and the words of wisdom. God bless you and your family.

Buyung overpriced advertising for a company, nice 😂
You didn’t talk about the UPS packages that you mentioned at the beginning of your blog
Great news !! You are amazing...thanks for sharing.
Good for you
I’m first selling stuff in my house before Picking. Want to learning how to sell first.
God bless you and your family ❤
Our best sourcing was haveing a thrift store and people bring you stuff
On the new, smaller trailer - consider putting large images of items you’re looking for also.
Now that your heading into storage lockers I hope we can see that on your common wealth picker channel.....would be good content
Karen, is that a precious pup T-shirt? I love it.!

I'd love to try a live Dibdit. Too bad the majority of cell phome users are left out.

It is crazy the amount of stuff you do! Thank God I am retired and only need to sell 4 hours a day.
I'm so glad to hear that you're donating to Samaritan's purse. I know that Franklin Graham and his team appreciate your donation.
So funny that you just bought a Smuggly dog plush at yard sale and now the T-shirt! Irony? Or planned? Love him!😉❤️😂
Ironey. It's actually Mutley though. But I like Smuggly too
My Buddy doll looks like origin, for the Chucky doll 😂😂
I'm finding myself nicheing down to media.

What is tag sale season?
@@bd2864 yard sale season - usually meaning warm weather
Only sourcing from thrift stores and yard sales is not a recipe for success for most

yes
The shoes ya showing in the beginning looked like they were 2 different sizes! Lol I swear one was smaller than the other!
What's up with the cabins?
?
Why do you have separated cabins so far apart on your property? Why not one building? Just seems like a odd set up to me!
Hi Kevin 😊
Kevin , that was the best video ever I think . Really gave me hope and ideas to build better and stronger .
👍
" im not gonna have inventory" i thought you had a shed full of inventory, if so what will happen to all that stuff.

@WellnessWizdom You don't just drop the subscription without fees involved. Read the article about closing a store please.
How is any of that ebay fault? If your selling less than 30$ a month it isn't ebay fault

A bag of weed and Scooby snacks 😂
Hi Kevin ☺️ ☮️
Please don’t do Red Cross do your research
Once again a killer t-shirt. Start selling them
Party at Kevin's!
How much for the egg keeper!!?
It was $9.50
So, on your shirt, is it Precious, Mugsy, or Mutley?
Mutley
I think we know what BRM and Kevin were doing after this vid... 🚬

eBay treat its sellers so horribly. I think they are just collecting checks. Honestly us resellers should boycott the site.
Hard to boycott where most of the sales come from though.
Okay, and go where? Stop being so emotional if you want to make money
You talk to much
It's a talk show. Do you want the guy to just stare at the camera in silence?
Hey Kevin, I have one of those James Brown figures for sale. I hope to sell mine soon as well. FunkyFeederFinds.
OMG Kevin! CORVETTE? ABSOLUTELY! They're always part of a good car show! Definitely Pick up Manuals
