- To celebrate International Women's Day, what could be better than watching House making gender bias comments and starting a fight between him against women? However, despite Gregory House being a complete jerk, women appear to like him!
House M.D. (2004) SYNOPSIS:At fictional Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey, prickly genius Dr. Gregory House tackles health mysteries as would a medical Sherlock Holmes, all the while playing mind games with colleagues that include his best friend, oncologist James Wilson. House, an acerbic infectious disease specialist, solves medical puzzles with the help of a team of young diagnosticians. Flawless instincts and unconventional thinking help earn House great respect, despite his brutal honesty and antisocial tendencies.

OKAY BUT SHE DIDN’T SAY NO
I wouldn't and I'm a guy lol
Genie Hossain tbf she looked him up and down and was like yeah I dig it
She didn't say either
So you're saying there's a chance....lol
@@mindful_minipods a tiny chance hahaha
House is actually really good with kids when he wants to be. Telling that one mom to get her kid an ice cream cake because her daughters happiness should come before her mothers ego.
House is actually nice (or at least nice by his standards) to every kid in the series (barring one or two who were particularly annoying/moronic)
Two years down the line the kid's gonna realize that her ice cream cake is now annihilating her own ego. Trust me lol, there's literally not a single young person who is both fat and happy.
Vanilla LoL When That is completely wrong, you dont have to be in shape to be happy. Dont get me wrong it’s definitely good, but all young fat people not being happy is just incorrect.
@@eracer166 ...lol I'm a high school teacher. Literally all my kids fall into one of two categories--they're either in shape and working daily to stay that way, or they're not in shape and they're making self-deprecating "jokes" 24/7.
@@kaiz1845 Ok but that doesn't show why being fat will stop you from being happy. Sure I agree with you to lesser degree but overall you use evidence that doesn't prove your point and just act like being a teacher means your right. Definetly not a English teacher if you use that bad reasoning.

You can tell house liked her and one of the few people he saw as an equal because she could keep up with his jokes.
@@wakcedout Well also as an equal due to them both being abnormal, as House would consider it.

"get the kid a damn icecream cake"
i love house with kids
Yes!
What House didn't say is that she is overweight because Mom isn't doing physical activities with her. Mom is too focused on herself to put the proper energy into raising the child.
I do feel for the kid. An entitled mom and one who isn't giving her the tools she needs to succeed in life.
@@superdave8248 While physical activity is necessary, I'd still say it really IS the diet that mostly determines your weight. I've heard loose interpretations of percentage going from 80% diet, 20% exercise.
@AZBYCX even if she was a tad over weight that's normal for a kid, I was a little porker at her age. But now I'm perfectly healthy (aside from Asthma)
@@azbycx737 Overweight doesn't technically mean sick. It just means your BMI is above the range that is deemed normal.
House's chemistry with the dwarf lady was by far the best and strangely wholesome....even with their one-upping sarcasm.... I loved their witty duel...
He wasn't condescending to her the way most people probably are. She appreciated it. Yeah, he was being rude, but he is equally rude to everyone. 😂
@@cl5470 the lady was no less... As i said... "Witty Duel"

"Sorry I'm late, I was taking a dump."
Because of how witty and risqué House's humor usually is, I find the blunt crassness of that line incredibly funny.
I think it's because of the inflection he uses when he says 'dump'. It's hard to believe Hugh Laurie's American accent is not native.
You mean he didn't literally mean it? :)

Not gonna lie... I kinda wanted house to date the fiery short gal. I think they would've got along quite well and there'd have been a ton of snark to throw around.
XxTaiMTxX, oh man, I know. I think he admired her sass.
they could shag each other, they could enjoy each other's company for some time but they'd never get along for any long period of time. House made a mistake, there. Wearing painful shoes to a job interview is not the same thing as wearing them to work on the regular. A job interview lasts half an hour, tops. Even I'd be willing to wear five inch heels for an hour. They aren't painful immediately.

One of the best characters in a TV series ever created, all because of how terrible flawed he was as a person, despite his genius.

Man, the dialogue in this show was legendary.
This hospital's legal bills for sexual harassment gotta be through the roof. Worth every penny, as far as House is concerned. And my sense of humor
The beginning part where House just makes fun of and roasts the mom for being stupid, and caring about her daughter looking "slim" over her happiness, was excellent

One of the greatest Movies of all time!
For whoever come across this : I think that the reason House didn't take the lady based on her shoes is that he cannot understand and hate people who chose to live in pain like this lady is. She prefer to feel pain to look pretty. House would do anything to not be in pain anymore. This mean a lot to House.
This show is so well written. Especially House's parts.
i'd say it's more well acted, I love the character but if anyone aside from Hugh Laurie played him he'd be an unbearable stereotype
3:52 Wilson can't stop looking either 😂
8:17 It’s funny/interesting to me how later on, Hugh Laurie and Leighton Meester do actually portray secret lovers in a romance/drama film called “The Oranges” back in 2011.
Hugh’s character begins a secret affair with his close friend’s (and neighbor) younger daughter portrayed by Leighton’s character.
Fun fact: This is the film that also starred Adam Brody as the son of Hugh Laurie’s character. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are now married and have a child together. They started dating in 2013, which was just a few years after this film was released. The film is pretty decent and interesting.
"You don't see boobs like that on deans of medicine"
There's been a lot of explanations why House is so good with kids, but to me it seems pretty simple: House's dad was a strict a-hole, and he doesn't have kids of his own, so House takes the child's side way more than the parent's side.
that explains why he treats those anti vaxxer parents so harshly
@@constantlyl8 well, that and they're just plain idiots. House hates idiots.
7:19 I’m surprised that House mentioned Mother Theresa as perfect considering he’s an anti-theist and in real life, Hugh Laurie is friends with Stephen Fry who was friends with Christopher Hitchens and he was the reason that no one could say she had 100% praise when she died.
