Your face with Tim's solo was priceless. Wellcome to the Home Free rabit hole. Its gonna be a fun ride :)
haha I am emotional person, I rarely am able to hide them :)
I was watching for her reaction when he was about to start. I loved it!
@@Katriinka If you want emotion, you simply must listen to their arrangement of How Great Thou Art. It's spectacularly beautiful and always brings tears of joy when I listen. One of the best vocal arrangements I've ever heard.
It is always great to see the reaction when you know it is coming!
Makes me think of that Bart Simpson meme; “You can actually pinpoint the second his heart rips in half.”
“You can actually pinpoint the second she starts ovulating.” 5:57
The deep voice is Tim Foust. You watch Tim Foust and Peter Hollins sing Misty Mountain.
Amen to that
The Hound + The Fox feat. Tim Foust - We Three Kings is also worth to mention. Not one single deep note at the end, but a whole verse
Absolutely Misty Mountain! If Tim hitting low gets her worked up she's gonna pass out to Misty Mountain.
Levi Brand I agree!!
You will melt with Misty Mountain with Tim Foust and Peter Hollens
this reaction to Tim's voice is the best on the internet! LOL...then the "why you do this" caption, made me bust a gut!
I was waiting on her reaction to Tim lol
Priceless
Tim is truly a basso profundo. They have two great tenors, a baritone, and the beatboxer is a decent singer in his on right.
The "beat boxer" is frankly the best vocal drummer I've heard. Calling Adam a "beat boxer" is like calling Pavarotti a tenor.
Dear Katriinka, great choice for a first reaction to them. They have so many great songs. The Bass singer is Tim Foust. The Bass singer for Pentatonix was Avi Kaplan before he left. I would like to ask you to react to Home Free featuring Avi Kaplan Ring Of Fire. You will be amazed and floored by the last note that comes from Tim. You and your back remain forever in my thoughts & prayers. 🎶👱♀️👗👠👠🙏💓
Thank you so so much! Will go through everything :)
excellent suggestion
I was actually about to suggest this as well for the deep voices. If you are curious about the upper range of Tim Faust, I recommend Home Free's cover of Mayday.
@@aussieallens383 Mayday is also interesting for deep voices.
His note at the end of his collaboration with Peter Holen on Misty Mountain is also insane. Pulled straight from the depths of Moria.
You need to watch their cover of "Ring of Fire" with Avi Kaplan!
gon look at it! :)
@@Katriinka After you watch that, if you want to really see their versatility, watch their cover of "Mayday". It will BLOW your mind. BTW, lovely outfit today.
@Katriinka Please wait to watch Mayday till you are more familiar with the group. Mayday is best viewed later after you know the group better.
@@sunnyqzado3455 For sure. Seeing Mayday is most definitely worth waiting a few songs so you know who is who. (I'd look into their Sing Off songs.)
oh I forgot about sing off. yes definitely watch those.
Your reaction to Tim’s bass voice was priceless. They are awesome!❤️❤️
I literally laughed out loud when you first heard Tim's voice. I basically love these reaction videos for those moments.
Home Free "Country fried pop medley", that's a showcase of their range.
TIM FOUST THE BASS
C0 - A5
AO T0 G5 check out the video tim foust vocal range it's awesome
@@nanook637 Though it sounds like it, Tim himself confirmed he doesn't sing an A0 in Sold (must be some undertones or something), so unfortunately, not yet down that low lol
@@adictionary2669 he did in a live version of "your man"
The face you made when Tim sang........you needed a smoke after that one haha
We all do
Cleanup in aisle 5!
I think one of my ovaries exploded
True that maybe Two
I really love to hear your reaction. I appreciate your clarity of your experience and how you use the best words to describe your whole experience. Thank you for each one!
The bass, Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range and after you've listened to some more of Home Free's songs, please react to their cover of Mayday and Tim will really surprise you with his ability and range.
A great song that shows Tim's range is their live performance of Josh Turner's Your Man. Tim goes higher than the tenors in the group then right back down into the basement with the low notes lol
Please wait on reacting to Mayday until you've done at least 5-10 of their other songs, you need to get to know them first.
Wait on Mayday. You want to watch that once you are more familiar with the group.
@Marcia G Its not much of a surprise if you tell her all about it. At least lead your comment with a Spoiler Alert for crying out loud.
The other surprise on Mayday is Adam Chance......
If only for yourself, if you don't want to do a reaction you HAVE to hear them do How Great Thou Are and also the song Mayday!!!! OH LOL and maybe ring of fire which they do with Avi from Peanatonix
Never Mayday, before you know their names and range, otherweise it's easy to miss the special with this song.
You definitely want to hold off on Mayday until you're more familiar with the group and their vocal roles.
Wait until later on Mayday. You want to watch that once you are more familiar with the group.
After watching numerous reactions to this video I have to admit that your reaction when the deep voice starts is priceless.
Love Home Free!! Thank you for reacting to them!❤
Home Free is one of the more versatile groups in that each member can sing different parts depending on the song. Even the beatboxer sings occasionally, and the other 4 have all done lead, harmony or even a little beatboxing depending on the song. One where they all really shine is arranged by the beatboxer, the Christmas song Do You Hear What I Hear.
Yesss at Last. Tks!! Love your reactions and HF. Stay safe
I love watching vocal coaches hear tim for the first time its amazing
I love Home Free! These guys are amazingly talented and great in performance with their humor.
I think that either End of the Road cover or the Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get it On mashup are a great varied introduction to Home Free.
I echo and strongly agree with your recommendations!
Chuck in NE Kansas
You're reaction is fantastic. Welcome to Home Free! Each of those guys are amazingly special and together...WOWZA! I think every Home Fry can appreciate your reaction to each of them. When you reacted to Tim singing (Bass), I might have laughed out loud and said something like "I know, RIGHT????" :) Hope you will do more Home Free reactions. There are so many "sides" to them and so much to love!!!
Lots of good suggestions. I would add their cover of "Auld Lang Syne."
100%!!!
Their harmony blends on that song are scary good.
I think is also the best song to get to know their ranges. Easy, clear and amazing.
Yes please react to auld Lang syne
Tim Foust is a rare gem. A real basso profundo.
Adam Rupp is the Beat Boxer Harmonica player... I think he's a robot, He's got a few videos playing the drums without a drum kit. Amazing. Tim Foust (the Base) sings with Peter Hollens covering the "Misty Mountains" song from the Hobbit movies. If you love deep notes ... watch
Home Free "How great thou Art" ... its a gospel
This was an excellent choice for a first introduction to Home Free!
Great job Katrinka in your reaction - good song choice.
Almost forgotten dear katriinka, please more covers :-)
If you like bass, listen to the G1 Tim hits at the end of their cover of “Ring of Fire”!
More Please. Home free can sing anything
I love HomeFree, I enjoy watching reactions from all over the world. I really enjoyed your reaction ❤️
If you really want to hear Tim's low notes, check out his collaboration with Peter Hollens on the song "Misty Mountain" from The Hobbit.
For an example of his range, try a live performance of "Your Man" where the guys have some fun with his range.
You also mentioned Austin's yodel. Check out their cover of "All About That Bass"
There are at least a couple of videos of Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) doing beatbox drum solos that are truly epic.
All of that being said, welcome to the Home Fries!
They call themselves "country" but they can sing any genre. I'm so glad you decided to check them out, and I really enjoyed your analysis.
You are an absolute DOLL, Katrinka. Loved your subtle AND not-so-subtle reactions throughout the song. Great input as well. Keep doing what you're doing!!
Katriinka your look was priceless when Tim was singing. No words were needed there. :) loved your video here. Home Free is exceptional and look forward to more of your videos.
To hear them is a traditional song I suggest "How great thou art" where the end chord sounds like a pipe organ, or their cover of "In the blood". You might also check out the acapella group Pentatonix.
Your English has improved significantly over time. I love your voice when you sing as well. You're a star. Keep it up.
I really enjoyed your reaction. Thank you!
Ох, Катринка, умница, красавица! Просто радость смотреть и слушать! Счастья тебе!
deep voices exude manliness and strength, they activate primal feelings
doesn't hurt that the guy doing the deep voice is good looking also. I think that is part of it.
There's just something soothing about a good bass voice that anyone can wallow in.
Great choice for a first listen to them . Next good one would be there ring of fire cover ft Avi.
You need to see them live! Tim's voice is soooo freaking low that it hurts your chest. You FEEL his voice. Videos don't do it justice, it's a must experience. But your reaction is priceless. Love the three part zoom.
just baxk to show more love dear.. you are amazing !! Ty for reacting to this!! ♥♥
I think you'd really like Home Free's version of Auld Lang Syne
You really need to listen to the Home Free version of "How Great Thou Art" for the gorgeous harmonies and blends. "Helplessly Hoping" lets you hear each of the voices separately. But honestly, any of their videos are impressive. And they have lots of fun in all their videos, which is very obvious from watching them.
I love helplessly hoping, and haven’t heard any of my favorite coaches react to it yet! It’s so beautiful.
Still one of my favorite Post, Katriinka. Thank you.
I just listened to your Christmas Song cover, and WOW you have a beautiful voice. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas
remember, those "effects" were all made by them with their mouths. I love this group
This song is hardly scratching the surface of Tim's voice.
You did a nice breakdown of this piece. Kudos to you.
Loved watching your reactions! You will really love "When a Man Loves a Woman"!
😂 😂 Your reaction to Tim's bass was great! Thanks for reacting to Home Free. By the way, us fans are called Home Fries.
what the hell I LOVE YOUR NICKNAME thats so good! and thank you so so much!
I totally believe there has to be “something” with deep voices too. I’m a HUGE sucker for them. Always have been. Deep, American voices 🤤🤤🤤
I always watch the reacts to this video, just waiting for someone to swoon- but they never do! It’s ALL I DO 🥴! I’m glad you did too!
Loved your reactions Katrinka. Would love more Home Free reactions. In the Blood, Blue Ain’t Your Color, Brothers in Arms, Mayday, Helplessly Hoping will be ones you won’t want to miss.
Enjoyed your reaction. Home Free is so much fun. They are so versatile. Tim Foust the bass has an amazing 5 octave range. They’re all so good. Lots of songs to listen to. How Great Thou Art, Auld Lang Syne, Helplessly Hoping show off great harmonies. Enjoy!
This was the first Home Free song I heard as well, and it interested me in the group, then I heard Ring of Fire feat. Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix, and I was a Home Fry for life. Also a good one to listen to is How Great Thou Art, for a chance to hear all five voices singing in harmony.
That was simply too good katriinka. and to top it off you're pretty freaking funny too, love you girl. Hugs.
Love you tons jim! :)
@@Katriinka always know what to say, special :-)
Katriinka Love you too baby girl, more than tongue can tell
I listen to this and it's very addictive. I remember hearing Ralph Stanley talking about hearing his father sing this in the 20's. This song has survived through a hundred years or more.
Loved your reaction! Subscribing because I love getting other singer's viewpoints.
I'll throw in another vote for the "Ring of Fire" with Avi Kaplan. You'll melt when you hear Tim's last note.
Love the reaction :) welcome to home free (my favourite group :)) love yo see more reactions, try one of thier origionals like ‘dive bar saints’. As it’s not just covers they are good at. I’ve seen them live (and will again soon :) already have the tickets). And they sound even better live.
oh congrats on going for a conceert, it must be amazing seeing them live! :)
Great reaction to this vid... bless your heart 💗
Fantastic react. I'm a fan. Great work. Keep it up
Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, has won global competitions. There are videos of him doing beatbox solos that are totally worth watching (or reacting to).
Also, Tim Foust gets much lower than in this song. Sold! (Home Free cover) and Misty Mountains (with Peter Hollins and Tim Foust) showcase just how deep he can go.
I will check it out! Thank you!
Mayday will show you how high he can go too
@@Katriinka If you check out an Adam Rupp solo please make sure it's a recent one. Too many people reach to one's from 2015 and he is so much better now. There is a great one on my channel from May 2019 that is about 11 minutes long and shows his full abilities. You are free to use it for a reaction.
@@Katriinka I think he regularly hits F#1 pretty easily.
He hasn't actually won any global competitions, probably because he doesn't enter them, it's just a rumour someone started here on UA-cam a while back. Just so you know. :)
Oh and song suggestions for more Home Free: Helplessly Hoping, I Can't Outrun You, Down to the Honky-tonk, and Dive bar Saints.
Liking Chance, are you? :) :P :D
Mayday probably shows their skills the best
New sub! Can't wait for more Home Free!! You can hear more yodeling in their cover of All About That Bass.
Tim foust (the bass) is really something else. What you heard was barely even scratching the surface, I highly recommend listening to more! One of my favorite is “Do you hear what I hear”
Mouth harp is the name of the fuzzy noise in the beginning and the end of the song. It also goes by other names. If you like deep voices, you should listen to "Ring of Fire" by them featuring Avi Kaplan. The bass singer can also sing very high for a bass. Avi Kaplan also sings very deeply in that song, it is pretty short, but very good. I enjoyed your reaction and opinion as always. Stay safe and take care.
Thank you so much Ken! :)
From Wikipedia: The Jew's harp, also known as the jaw harp, mouth harp, gewgaw, guimbard, khomus, trump, Ozark harp, Galician harp, or murchunga is a lamellophone instrument, consisting of a flexible metal or bamboo tongue or reed attached to a frame.
@@Chualland I had one when I was a kid, my dad gave it to me. He called it a Jew's Harp. I looked it up to get a more politically correct name for it. It was cool to use and required no skill at all, just some practice.
@@k1hasard - Jew's Harp is not politically incorrect. It's not being used in a derogatory or demeaning way.
@@shercahn I just didn't want to offend anyone, not knowing what the actual proper name was till I looked it up. You know how people like to be keyboard warriors.
You have hit the jackpot of UA-cam Reactors, Home Free. I would say next on your Home Free journey should be Castle On the Hill. a cover of the Ed Sheeran song. They really showcase Austin, Chance and Tim in that one
You are so precious! And they are fantastic each one of them exceptionally talented and as a group amazing
your non-reaction to the guy with the deep voice was so funny... but didn't fool anybody... you wanted to go and make a family with the guy 😂😂😂❤
that voice is amazing. the special effects are high quality.
You might like a video this group did at a live concert where the rest of the group walked off stage and left the beatboxer do a "drum solo" to let everyone know yes, it really is him making all those sounds. lol
This song is a cover, not a Home Free original, however this arrangement of it certainly is. It was formally published in 1913, but was an American folk song of unknown origin long before that. More recently, it was widely popularized in the Coen brothers film _O Brother Where Art Thou (2000),_ a movie well worth checking out, about the adventures of 3 chain-gang convicts on the run, and their itinerant-guitarist 'accompanist' (a word that they, comically, have a hard time saying). These characters sing and play the song in the context of the story, but instead of actor George Clooney who lip syncs it, the actual lead vocalist is Dan Tyminski of American bluegrass and country band Union Station. The hapless quartet hear about a paid open mic at a nearby AM radio station, and scam the blind DJ, who pays by the head, that they have more band members than are actually present. There they sing this song, unaware the DJ is secretly recording them, and the track 'goes viral' -- or the 1937 equivalent. It's a really fun romp (loosely based on Homer's _Odyssey,_ in a Coen-brothers tongue-in-cheek sort of way), and well worth watching!
Thank you. I sang this repeatedly as a young girl. I had no idea of it’s origin,
Thanks for explaining this - I had just gotten up to go get the DVD to see when the movie came out... the year 2000. The DVD includes the movie video titled "I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow."
Deep voices seem to vibrate through your body, which is why we love them.......
Tim Foust is from my hometown in Texas. Did solo for long time till he got with home free. They would have concert at our high school he graduated from. Always sold out. Can never get ticket. Good guy. Was in normal choir and the choir group they put together.
Gotta agree with ya! Bass IS hot!! 😄👍 And Tim is one of the best!! They are all so good individually as well as their tight tight tight harmony!! Great reaction! Hope you do more! Check out their newest release, "Moonshine". And for absolute earcandy, & to really appreciate their skill, check out their "Helplessly Hoping". Thx!!
Thank you VJ! :)
Hiya Katriinka ! Welcome to the world of Home Free ! You're going to enjoy the complexity of their artistry. They are simply put, the best acapella group. Yes better than Pentatonix !
great analysis of an amazing song and video
Agreed they are magicians!
😍 **EVERY TIME I WATCH THIS VIDEO, I FEEL LIKE I NEED A PREGNANCY TEST, & I AM 60 LOL** 😍
You should try Peter Hollens Feat. Tim Foust Misty Mountain if you really like his BASS
Thank you for the great reaction. You are beautiful.
What a fun reaction!
Fantastic band and just as good live! I like hearing Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) get credit in these react videos, people tend to focus on the bass (Tim) but Adam is insanely talented! ( well honestly they all are!).
I'm the only one who is not focused on Tim's voice?🤣 Just deep voice...whatever:P
@@poinsettia12 bass isn't my thing either lol Live I find Tim really impressive but not my focus still. Austin (typically tenor) is actually my favorite personally along with Adam.
Tim definitely is a huge draw for the band as a whole though, he's an incredible bass for sure!
@@seeing8spots I can only agree;)
Can you react to Ring of Fire by Home Free with Avi Kaplan?
That bass always gives them the tinglys.
Nice reaction and good choice of song. This is my second favourite Home Free song, next to Ring of Fire.
If you love deep voices that much you should listen to their cover of Ring of fire- feat. avi kaplan😁😁😁
For “turntable moments” react to their song The Butts Remix.
That or all about that bass... Always makes me laugh.
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
Your reaction was fantastic to watch. Your cute laugh and I'm jealous of the look you gave to the bass singer. 💓
Great reaction! I love how Tim Foust (the bass) affected you! Lol! If you want to hear them in a different genre please react to their cover of "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. They also do a phenomenal cover of "How Great Thou Art" in the Austrian Alps.
oh... hope you love bass =)
Girl, you ARE in for a treat!!!!
Great review. Thanks.
Welcome To Home Free! The Home Fries (fan name) are always happy to have their fellows show cased and are delighted to offer suggestions. My suggestions are Catch Me if You Can (original), Can't Stop the Feeling and Mayday. Thank you! ^_^
If you like Bass check out Home Free Ring of Fire that one is just awesome much love from the United States.
much love back! :)
The first one that got the Jews Harp. Everyone else says it’s a didgeridoo. I was waiting and you are the first! Respect!
