Apple Thunderbolt Display (setup & unboxing)

On Tuesday, January 25th I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the display of my dreams- the thunderbolt display. This is the video of my initial unboxing and first setup and impressions. Although the display retails for what is no doubt one of the highest price points on the market, ($999) it in really makes up for it with its unbelieveable contrast ratio, and hub like capabilities. Hands down the best display I've ever owned!

7:17 You may have found out meanwhile, but let me tell you just to make sure. Mac OS X has a built in zoom function, which you can find by going to System Configuration and then Accessibility.

Yup it does pushes the internal GPU to its limit... on thing you can do is use the TBD as the single display and partially close the LID of your MBA... to allow the air into the intake (keyboard)...
you can use the temp monitor app to make sure your temps does not go to high...

Nice thing about the thunderbolt display you can use it as a i mac desktop

you will have to get the cinema display instead, exactly the same as thunderbolt display except it uses minidisplay port

I got the same setting - MBA + TBD.
Did your MBA always run on high fan speed to maintain the high resolution?
It happens to me, especially when loading facebook, flash...etc.

I use a 1440 monitor and I don't see any change between using Premier/photoshop/lightroom/ and after affects.

Perina Famiglia It looks like an external HDD with an Apple Sticker on it. I think there is an Western Digital logo in the front... I guess it is the Time Machine Backup HDD... Have a nice day!

Please how can you help me with the User Manual that comes with thunderbolt display, i need it to replace my thunderbolt with a cinema display which is what i needed, rather than the thunderbolt, but i have misplaced the manual that comes with mine, the supplier is insisting that I bring the printed manual before replacing for me. please help.
