Faux Bleach Technique

In this video I'm sharing an easy to do faux bleach technique using Distress Ink along with how to do monoprinting using a stencil and then stepping it up a level with Distress Translucent Crackle Paste.

Your card is amazing (I had to subscribe), your instructions were easy to follow. Now I need to see if I can do this. It's incredible that videos such as yours are available to crafters. I think that the faux bleach effect was stunning enough that it would have made an elegant card combined with a simple greeting. I cringed as you added more and more stuff to the background that I didn't think looked good at all. In the end, your large white greeting on the monotone background turned out beautifully. Inspired!

Sadly I don't have many distress ink but have most of the oxides. Do you think it would work similar?
Yes it will work with oxides but the look will be slightly different because these inks react differently with water. I know Luise Heinzel used oxides when she followed along with my instructions in her recent video. Have fun with your creative play!
You described the card as bleach, was there bleach in the water that you painted with?
It’s “faux” bleach so there is no bleach. There is only water.
