Thanks for going into so much detail! We have watched Tim Holtz do this sort of thing as a completely intuitive playful art. However, when we amateurs try it, we get a muddy mess. I appreciate that you went into so much detail and painstakingly explained each step. I don't prefer one side of the paper or another, I would do one of each every time.

Tim Holtz tells you to dry each layer using Distress Ink or you get mudd, but oxide blends nicely. Try oxide sprays go to Joggles.com for good prices over $50 1/2 off shipping.

Hot Dog! Now I know other uses for my distress oxides. Loved the smooth side - I hate the waiting time for anything to dry, but will do it because you make it work beautifully!! My 5th grade friend, Claire, comes to my house to make journals and other art projects. She's a Girl Scout and of course I bought 6 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from her. She loves your techniques we've learned watching your videos. Thanks again for sharing with us in the USA!!! ❤

Luise, you described me perfectly at the start of this video. I have 58 mini Distress Inks and am now swatching them as you showed in your other video. I am finding out so much more about them. I have also fallen in love with Distress Oxides now and starting to build a set of them. They will also be swatched on the same card as the Distress Inks, using your process. Thank you for all the knowledge you share, I love watching all your videos. 🤩

I was quite amused when you said "Holy Crap!" There was a day when women used to make those lovely cross stitch samplers with sayings like "Home Sweet Home" but I now find that the junk journal devotees need to start making samplers saying "Holy Crap" because it seems so much more suitable and likely something we all say more often than we think.

I have a few distress inks in other colours, greens, browns, gold and I am just playing with them by using the same techniques you show here. I like mixing the ink and oxide inks to see the reactions. it is pure fun and delight. I love this layering effect.
