DIY Nature Inspired MIXED MEDIA CANVAS with Birch Twigs & Alder Cones in Winter Colors - Video tutorial. List of supplies: www.gamescrafts...
This canvas was inspired by the first snow this year that came this week. I just picked up some birch twigs and made a small wreath and then I added some alder cones with hot glue.
I used burlap mesh, wrinkled paper, stencils and sand effect paste to create texture. The lovely stencil with reindeer and the "glitter flakes" are from Aliexpress. The paint I used are acrylic paints made by various brands.
It's a great Christmas/Holiday project and a beautiful gift idea as well!

I love the center scene, the deer are so sweet, the colours are so well chosen !!
And I LOVED the rounded twig effect that was already brilliant on its own … then you decided to add little pine cones … it’s just overwhelmingly beautiful.

This is beautiful! And so creative! Its been a while now... Did the Alder cones fall off? I would be worried about the and would have sprayed them with a fixative to keep them falling off!

Thank you! I gifted the canvas to my mother and as far as I know the cones haven't fallen off. It's the alder twigs that are fragile so I don't think any fixative would help, you just have to be extra careful when handling the canvas!
