Just upgraded from the Series 4 to the Series 10. Went titanium with a Milanese band. Wasn't about the money, it was for all the reasons you mentioned. Great edition.
Great video, Rjey! My wife and I were early adopters of the Apple Watch with the very first one. We've bought each new series on their introduction. We both bought the Ultra 1 in September 2022. We've been avid runners, long-distance hikers, daily exercisers, and triathletes. But in the past two years, injuries and lifestyle changes have scaled our "adventures" back a bit. It was the main reason we didn't upgrade to the Ultra 2. I don't know if you mentioned it, but the Series 10 looks attractive to me for all the reasons you mentioned; plus, a Series 10 with GPS and cellular is more affordable than an Ultra 2 with only GPS. Neither of us is talking about a switch at this point, but the Series 10 sure looks good! Thanks again for your review!
I’ve got the black ultra 2 which is my first Apple Watch ever. Alone the battery life on the ultra 2 is a decider for me, coming from 12 days amazing fit smart watches to every day charging was unacceptable for me. Besides, the titanium speced series 10 with cellular cost almost as the ultra, therefore the only benefit of the series 10 is its elegant light design. But then, I don’t get all the complaints about the ultra being bulky and heavy, yeah you notice it but it doesn’t disturb at all.
🐬 I switched from the Apple Watch Ultra to the series 10 and I’m glad I did the ultra was just too heavy for me yeah I miss the battery life but I charge my watch every day so I’m good
Yeah, I completely agree with you! The ultra has good battery but it's not like a 2-day battery watch at least for me. So I'm okay with the sacrifice of a bit less battery for a minimal sleek and lighter Apple watch
i debated between buying an ultra 2 or the series 10, last year i got my first iphone because of the type c finally coming, and this was my first apple watch, the one thing that atracted me to the ultra was the battery, i also liked the idea of having more features but the series 10 is more than enough for me, ended up going for series 10 natural titanium with milanese loop, which costs the exact same as the ultra 2, but im so glad i did, its soooo comfortable, and i love how it looks, just as a watch is beautiful, also now i think to me is easier to follow the daily routine of just recharging while i shower in the morning, than every 2 or 3 days. Love the titanium series 10.
i have both the ultra and since 3 days a series 10 in 42 mm. I,ve notice I,m wearing my series 10 more often and it's growing on me. first I had to adept to the battery but it charge really fast . I think the series 10 is gonna be my daily everyday watch and speeptracker , and the ultra when I go out and do bike rides etc
Man, Ultra 2 is hell of a beast device but this year, even if it's not completely redesigned, I switched from Ultra 2 to S10 46 and still pleased a lot. Screen looks a bit more vibrant and fun on it, battery is unexpectedly good, slim, fast charge 30 min, I don't even realize it's there.
I wear an AWU2 but I can't get used to it... Very square, very heavy, and extremely bulky...I also suffer from pain in my wrist and skin because the bottom of the watch puts too much pressure on my wrist. Deep cuts in the skin and many stretch marks. This especially happens when I wear a sweater and a jacket at the same time or two sweaters at the same time.
I wore the Ultra for two years. Switched to the Series 10 (46mm) in aluminum. It is 40% lighter. I miss the flat screen of the Ultra and that's it. I strongly prefer the lightweight nature of the Series 10. Ultra is far too thick and heavy for me.
I'm leaning toward the Ultra because I've managed to damage every Apple Watch I've owned. My Series 4 died when it got a hairline crack in the crystal that I didn't notice, and when I went swimming, water got in. My current watch, Series 7, got scratches (cracks?) on the face almost right away. I've never taken it in the water, consequently. I don't do a lot of extreme sports, but I go hiking for a week at a time, and I ride motorcycles off-road. My Series 7 now needs to be charged twice a day, so I stick it on the charger whenever I'm working at my desk for an extended period. I have small wrists, so I'm torn between the Ultra 2 for its ruggedness and battery life and the Series 10 because of the size.
Hi, thanks for the review. Also another thing to consider is the Processor, probably right not for the Watch OS version might not seem that different, but perhaps some future new software features that will be enabled might not be supported by the "outdated" S9 chip. Apple doesn't mention a thing about if is it faster than the previous chip.
Ultra 2 will never be a mistake period..... heavy or not if you cant handle a little weight on your wrist you shouldn't be wearing a watch in the first place....
@@Nosci20 why not get the series 10 then? The screen is bigger, it has nearly all the features Ultra has and battery is just slightly worse. I get Ultras stated 36 hours on my series 10 any day of the week, sometimes even more. and I get to wear a nice good looking comfortable watch which I hardly ever feel on my wrist instead of that ugly oversized brick with orange stuff on it and what not
Nope I cant switch as I am so used to the size and design of the Ultra 2. I am considering switching to the black Ultra 2 as I love everything black, but wont go back to the regular Apple watch.
Yes!! Right now I’m wearing ultra 2 and going to pick up ultra 2 black next Tuesday. Used to series 8 for like six months and wasn’t happy with it. So I can’t see my self wear 10! Nah

I don't understand how the Ultra was a "mistake". My concern with the Series 10 is durability.

Amazing! I think I might go with the titanium gold this year, the jet black is great but the gold is so classy
Got the ultra returned it after a few days felt too heavy and large on my all wrist so I switched to Apple Watch Jet black

I refunded my Ultra 10 because it's just too big and clunky. And it's heavy. About to buy a Series 10.

Right on!!! I don't need to wear my watch 24/7 so that whole battery talk with the ultra, doesn't hang with me anymore. I made the switch too.
