Our guy is just something else!!! What he does with his voice nobody can really describe. Like in Trying to Get to you in this same concert, how does he do that with his voice? In the audio version when it first came out in '60 he talks thru some of the song. He is the first to do that and this was the first song he done it with. He started out like he was going to talk thru it and skipped it, it goes I wander if your lonesome tonight , someone said that the world's a stage and each must play a part-- I can't remember the rest. Usually in the '70's when he's doing it on stage and he asks are you lonesome tonight, someone will yell out-------"yes" and he'll usually grin. Lol!!! Out of this same concert Baby, What you want me to do, let's witness him make this guitar talk and Trying to get to you another great one, must see!!! Thanks!!!

You are right about Elvis and his charisma. No other entertainer had more. Elvis had so much raw talent. This is a clip from his 1968 comeback special. I'm glad you are still posting Elvis videos.Elvis recorded so many songs. You could go on for months exploring his music.
At some point you guys should listen to his original that shot to number one right after he got back from the army. He asked everyone to leave the studio except for essential musicians. The part where they cracked up is where there's a really cheesy spoken word verse on the original studio version. Elvis very rarely could get through that part without laughing, so he really didn't even try here. There were some live versions where he just totally changed it into a total comedy performance. There's even one version where he and the audience just crack up so bad that the whole rest of the song just becomes a laugh fest. Also, there's a live version where he actually makes it through the whole spoken part WITHOUT cracking up and the band gives him a standing ovation at the end of the song!
They say that he didn't like this spoken part in the original version
A recently discovered version of this song from 1959 whilst in Germany is on UA-cam. This was before the 1960 studio version. Certainly worth listening to.
