I wish you had a pedal that was an actual tape recorder emulation like the OP-1's tape recorder section where you could see the tape going around and do effects like tape stop, speed up tracks, slow down other tracks, stutter, etc.
Can you switch the MultiSwitch on/off, so you can use the pedal as a regular stomp? Understood in that way, so you can save 2 presets on the Multiswitch and use it as sustainer AND have the cloudburstpedal you can turn on during a gig and tweak as you like...so basically 3 presets (1 tweakable) and the sustain mode...
Does this mean you can have the A and B presets, C being the freeze/infinite option, and then also the ‘non-presets option’ of whatever is on the dials of the pedal? Or does it mean once you use the MS+ you aren’t able to tweek the knobs of the pedal live on the gig?
Once you start using MS+, there's not a way to return to the knob position settings since pressing A or B again will bypass those presets. You can still tweak the knobs to your liking, you just need to be sure to save those changes to the presets so they're saved.
@@strymonthis seems different to the mini switch. Am I correct in saying that the mini switch allows a favourite preset but also to go back to the current knob settings giving a total of two sounds also?
@@drewson2a512 If you don't mind shooting us an email to support@strymon.net, we'd be happy to walk you through it! We can take you through configuring both pedal's EXP jacks, MS+, and then saving presets from there.
The infinite mode isn't something I need. If I just want two presets, is it better for me to use a single mini-switch and have the preset and whatever the knobs are set to?
You're right - thanks for pointing that out! The process is easy and works the same if you're using MIDI or MS+. Start by dialing in the sound that you would like to save as your preset on Cloudburst. Then press and hold the Cloudburst's footswitch for at least 2 seconds, until the LED blinks GREEN. Once you've done that, press the A, B, or C MultiSwitch Plus footswitch to save the current state of the pedal to the desired location on MS+. Hope this helps!
@@strymonI followed these directions and saved A (no ensemble)and B (with ensemble) presets. But after selecting B and going back to A, A is now the same as B.
Same issue won't save presets with the multi switch connected. . HAs anyone tried saving the presets first before you connect the multi switch? Then the presets are already in there. I'll try it later have to go now, but just thought of that.@@strymon
Be aware if you plan to buy a Multi Switch Plus: Infinite is not working in custom mode ATM - it’s just a latched version of the Freeze mode. And Freeze mode does not capture and sustain the reverb applied to the signal indefinitely (as stated in the manual). It is fading out….

I do love this though !

Can you program the multiswitch buttons to go up and down through the presets?
Can you program the multiswitch with nixie?

Correct. Given the pedal is off, The favourite will switch the pedal on and off 🌹

Why does the multi switch + have 3 input jacks? Is it possible to control more than one Strymon pedal from a single multi switch +? Thanks
Yes, that is possible, depending on the mode it is set to.

Can you do on the infinite/freeze mode on just the one button favorite switch?
Yes, you can use a MiniSwitch to access Freeze/Infinite mode :)
Does this work with the regular multiswitch?
Hi there - the older MultiSwitch only works with BigSky, TimeLine, and Mobius.

yes
Can we use non Strymon switch to access freeze mode?
Absolutely! Most SPST normally open switches should work just fine with Cloudburst.
I am only getting one preset and the hold function. A and B are bringing up the same preset.
