    Those clips are a must have! I've been using mine for several years with pieces of cotton balls and acetone, they they still work great. Great directions, easily understood and easy to follow. TFS!

    I love them clips, total game changer for polish removal.
    I purchased the Utopia cuticle pusher and noticed the following:
    1. When using the flat end, there are 2 sides…1 side is sharper than the other. The sharper side will dig in to your nails.
    2. The non sharp side is more gentle.
    3. Suggest using cuticle remover first, use paddle side, then non sharp side. Use the sharp side, as needed, but SO VERY gently as it will dig into your nails. I used to get the extra scraps of cuticle.
    Great tool…just recognize they’re are actually 3 tools in one. If you look at the flat end carefully, you can see the difference when you flip over.

      I think the sharper side is the intended side to be used, and the "bottom" side of it, is just a side effect from creating the little ledge. Keep in mind that I use that end of the tool *extremely extremely* gentle, with NO pressure at all almost. Even if you use the bottom edge (the one less sharp), someone can still do damage with that if pressed too much. I agree that the intended side is definitely sharper tho and it should be used with care, but you don't even have to use this end at all, just the round should be enough. 😊🌸

      What’s interesting with this tool is that if you use either the “flat” or “sharper” side, you can “feel” the tool working as you use it. This was very helpful.

    • @snafu8203
      @snafu8203 Рік тому +1

      Additionally, it’s taught me to “feel” what I’m doing right or, God forbid, what I’m doing wrong. You can FEEL, through the tools you’re using, what feels right or what doesn’t feel right. I’m a pandemic polish person (Essie) and continue to learn how to care for my nails/hands via your videos.

    Some questions about cuticle removal- I do a very lazy natural manicure on myself and skip that step but I’m wondering if I should try it. More than half the time my nails are unpainted, but I like to keep them symmetrically shaped and moisturized. I’d rather not have to buy a bunch of things I don’t need. And when I do wear polish I don’t care about long wear time. However, my cuticle/nail shape is a little asymmetrical. Can pushing the cuticle make it more symmetrical over time, and how do you make sure it doesn’t weaken the proximal nail fold?

    • @PolishLabRat
      @PolishLabRat Рік тому

      I don’t know if pushing them back can make them more symmetrical or not. Also I’m not sure if u mean “damage the pnf” instead of weaken… because pushing the skin back doesn’t (by its nature) weaken anything. So I think u mean “will it damage it?”… and if done aggressively yes it will damage all sorts of things, but not if done gently. Similar to, “if u brush ur teeth aggressively, will u cause gum damage?” Well probably. But doesn’t mean that u stop brushing ur teeth altogether. There are lots of actions that we do to our body, that donde properly are beneficial but done aggressively can cause issues. - additionally, if ur nails are doing well with ur current routine and u r happy with things, I don’t see a need to change anything. I don’t usually recommend people change their routines for no reason, if everything is well and they are happy with the state of their nails. 👍🏼

      I use both the OPI Nail polish remover and the Zoya one and like them both. I like the Zoya one bc it has a pump so it's mess free. And when I done with it I'll even refill it with the OPI one.

      I assume you mean the cuticle remover, so it's 1 min on this product, but I would follow the instructions on whichever cuticle remover you own.
