    with a mass of ~330lbs, an impact velocity of ~15mph, and an impact duration of roughly 0.1 sec, the peak impact force of this crash is ~20 kN, and according to wikipedia a 6.7m saltwater croc has an estimated bit force of ~25.5 kN. That's something to think about. I'm John Brenkus and this has been Sports Science.

    If you have pain, ignore it and go riding! That will get rid of it instantly.
    Recommended by 9/10 orthodontists.
    (Also, I would just like to take a moment to appreciate that even though your shoulder is like 25% functional right now, you still wanted to take the time and effort to move the tree out of the trail. Good on you! 🤘)

    I know it might hurt, but getting out there and using your shoulder is pretty good for it, just don’t over do it and make sure u ice it down after. I had a shoulder injury when I was younger and it was hella hard and hurt to do anything but the more I moved it and the more I did the less it hurt! Glad your alright! That was a sick crash!

    Did the same thing at my local trail. Was pushing myself and next thing I know I’m a pinball bouncing from 1 tree to the next. Full shoulder check and my bike was resting on a tree and a chain link fence. Took a while to feel ok.
    Take it easy don’t wanna injure your shoulder any further. Get an ice pack made for shoulders and ice it after every ride. It’ll help. Keep shredding. 🤘🏽🤙🏽

    Lol man I feel you 100%…fractured my thumb on the bike and couldn’t ride for 3 weeks, hard to shift gears and all that when your right thumb can’t move…but just like you, before it fully healed I was back on the bike. Cast and all. Nothing was gonna stop me from riding, at some point you tell yourself “enough is enough” and you just NEED to go out for a ride. Albeit a slower, more relaxed ride, but a ride nonetheless.

      It sure is! A long time ago I came around a corner fast and onto unsuspected gravel, bike slid out from under me and down I went on my elbow [wrong!] and cracked my shoulder. No surgery, but it sure hurt. For five years afterwards my shoulder could predict the weather: it would tell you if it was going to rain the next day.

    Can you raise your arm over your head? If not it's more than likely a rotator cuff. I destroyed my L. shoulder 2 years ago and required major surgery, then last season 2022 I injured my right shoulder but not as bad as my left but I know I did something to the rotator cuff and racked up the rest of me as well. Haven't been on a bike since Aug 2022, and it's up for sale. You need an MRI of that shoulder or at the very least x-rays. Stop riding the bike and get checked out. You fall again and you will be SOL.

  • @grizzlyrunfast
    @grizzlyrunfast Рік тому

    So what actually happened with your shoulder? You've stated no facts only that it's "messed up" now I'm not a doctor but that's not an injury. AC joint...collar bone? Like what actually is the issue. Despite the pain getting it moving and out of a sling is most likely the best solution for you. If you haven't seen a physical therapist or a doctor I'd do that. It probably isn't anything but an AC joint issue or possibly torn pec or bicep
