Do you insist on a clay bar or you think this would work too as a clay bar & lube substitute? Links to the products I used here: Turtle Wax Polishing Compound: amzn.to/3qJXHaJ . Dunlop Vehicle Microfibre Cleaning Cloth: amzn.to/44mUg7D .
It'll definitely clean and give some shine, but a clay bar will remove some stuck-on particles that a cleaner/polish won't touch. Ideally you would clay first and then polish to remove any clay marring for yhe best result.
Hello Joe, I agree. Although I really like the end-result I got from the TW Cleaner Polish, I am sure it can be even better. I am looking forward now that Spring is here to give a clay bar a try for my own comparison and learning experience. Happy Easter!
That was good stuff in the 1980’s. There are way better products out there today. I didn’t care for it back then. Just a friendly opinion. Once I found out about Meguiars in the mid 90’s, I’ve used predominantly only their products. Thanks for posting. It’s always fun to watch stuff like this.
Thanks for commenting, I honestly didn't know that this product goes that long back! In your opinion is there anything else like it that could potentially substitute the clay bar treatment and does McGuiars has something like it? Having said that, I looked at my car and think there are some spots left where I think only a clay bar would get the job done, so may be I will need to revisit those and make another video. Wishing you great Sunday ahead!
For removing the polish from your black trim you can use Blue Dawn Dish soap in a cup of water and a tooth Brush. It will take the polish off but you might have to do tuff areas twice. Kit
Many Thanks for the tip I appreciate it! I've really been struggling to get tbem removed and with wet damp cloth wipe the keep coming back. I will be giving this a try soon! I dont have this brand of soap in my country but I will check the label and get me something similar here locally.
Hello, you are right this was not necessary. I thought it might help because of some cleaning ingredients in it but makes no sense. Just checked the TW website and also says nothing about letting it sit for a bit.
Hello, unfortunately I don't know this product. But I looked it up and it seems similar. However I don't know how strong and aggressive commandant is compared to turtle wax which seems mild to me
I thought that next to rubbing it also had some (paint) cleaner elements in there so I'd give it a try and let it sit for a minute. Not sure it made sense but results were very nice.

@@maximaalski I think you'll be surprised at the result. The paint will feel absolutely smooth, it's totally worth it.

Good idea thank you!
Welcome, good luck and hope it was useful.
To remove the sign of scratches use rubbing compound turtle will do a better job on the scratches
Agree, Indeed the stronger variant should perform better against those scratches.
Why let it sit for a few minutes before polishing it? I don't understand the reason.

@@maximaalski ok,, thnk's,, saludos.
You let it dry because the dried “powder” helps cut and polish the paint surface .
Thanks for the clarification that indeed makes sense!
@@maximaalski Decontaminating is not about polishing or cutting. Decontaminating is about cleaning a surface for later polishing.
Turtle wax products,,, excellent 👌
Thanks! I agree with you they're the best!
Isn't it almost the same as commandant 4 polish ?

I recommend to test first a small area
I do not know where you get the idea? That you're supposed to let it dry before you wipe it off. That is nonsense. It's a cleaner not a wax
