Well Done, you gave the viewer a very informative description of the Camping area & a great walk around. The Airstrip was originally from the Snowy Scheme. Pete reckons you need a Beer or Three after a walk like that. Ha Ha.
It's a beautiful spot to camp Steve. We stayed for 5 days last April. Plenty to see and do. The river wasn't running like that when we were so it was easy to cross. There was a guy with an ultralight aircraft using the airstrip when were there. You're right about other huts on the other side of the river. There's a fairly easy 4x4 track, crossing the river several times to access the other huts along the river. Well worth a visit. Cheers Lee
Thanks for watching lee! Ive camped there a few times myself (before UA-cam lol) and just love it there. Last I heard Major Clews rack was closed. I just love that area. Cheers Steve
Thanks for showing us around that is a massive campground if you couldn't find somewhere to camp There's something wrong that's another one to add to the list thanks, Steve.
There’s a track at the main bridge that takes you to the camps on the other side of river, which avoids going thru the river crossing..enjoy the vids ,cheers from tassie 👍
Nice one mate. Ive driven past this before on my last trip down in that region although didnt stop in. Ill have to add it to the list for the next one, such a massive area by the looks of it. That river is absolutely storming! Swampy Plains river its called, joins onto the murray 20 or 30km down i think. Cheers Ryan
Hey mate great video. I’m heading here tomorrow for night. I noticed you said it was free but there was still a “National Park Fee” that needs to be paid. How do I go about paying that??
Looks like a cracking campsite, planned for groups I reckon! That trip you took has worked out well, provided shitloads of camp episodes for your channel else it might be looking a bit light on with covid shutting us down.

Yes mate it’s disappointing but life unfortunately. Thanks for watching mate. Cheers Steve

The main dirts pretty good mate, it was soggy when we were there but you'd be ok I think. Ive camped there a few times. Cheers Steve

it sure is very flat !!
It sure is Brent! thanks for watching. Cheers Steve
Great location, When you say it's free camping, don't you still have to book and pay the $6 national Parks booking fee ?
Yep that’s correct I did mention it in the clip somewhere, I’ll be glad when that stops lol. Thanks for watching. Cheers Steve

By now you’ve probably been there mate. You can do all that at a national parks office near Kosciusko, or online. Cheers Steve
