Gday, thanks for watching. You should have no problems in the Forester, just need to be a but careful of some potholes and washouts on the NSW side. I’d say allow 3.5 to 5hrs depending on how many times you stop, it’s a picturesque drive, with some good lookouts and the Suggan Buggan historical school. Take your time and take it all in ! 👍🏼
Not really, it’s a pretty easy drive. Everywhere there is a drain under the road there is normally a washout. Another great vid Krusty,, had to laugh mate …… your out in the middle of shit creek , you walk out on the road and almost get run over . 🤣
Thanks Luke, yeah what’s the chances. That Cruiser snuck up on me … lucky I’m an agile old bastard !! 😂😂👍🏼
Nice trip fella. Bloody good country up there. Love ya work🇦🇺🍻🔥🤘
Cheers Chuck … it is indeed.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼

Your easily pleased mate !
Thank you ! 👍🏼
Good stuff cobber
Thanks Ray 👍🏼
Did the Barry way on my harley, took it as a short cut to Jindabyne, and then a storm blew in.
Wish I could have enjoyed it more bit I was too shit scared to get out of second gear.
Nice video mate, preach the respect for these areas or no one will be allowed to enjoy them.
Ya bloody keen, you don’t like the Harley? 🤣 You would have got a few strange looks I reckon.
How long ago was this? Be bad enough driving a small 2WD car through there in spots.
Thanks for watching and taking the time out to comment Mike. 👍🏼🍻
@aguyandhistroopy the rain came in when I was about half way, you know how the weather changes up that way, some times you don't see it coming. By that stage there was no point turning around 🤣 so just had to ride it out.
Was back in Feb last year, the stupid part is I'd probably do it again, never felt so alive.
@@mikemoonshinethat’s it Mike, glad you made it out. Funny how it works sometimes. 👍🏼
The river looks fucken cold 🥶. Your aerial views are becoming really good 👍 keep up the great work digger, your channel will grow keep it raw and starch plus stay safe.
Thanks for the positive comments Wayne. I know it’s gunna take time, I just enjoy touring and exploring, so I might as well bring you guys along !!
I had no intentions of going in the water ! 😂
Thanks for tuning in 👍🏼
Hi. I loved your video. Thanks for going to the trouble and showing us another beautiful part of Australia. I was thinking of driving from Buchan to Jinderbyne in October. Do you reckon a Forester all wheel drive would make it? Also, how long would it take from Buchan to Jinderbyne? Thanks - Anj
Thanks for answering. Much appreciated. 😀 @@aguyandhistroopy
Salam berkemah, perjalanan yang seru.. Video yang bagus.. Salam dari indonesia 😊🙏👍
Thank you mate… glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching over there ! 👍🏼
Great vid, thinking of doing this this year, same route :D any extra tips? :D
Not really, it’s a pretty easy drive.
Everywhere there is a drain under the road there is normally a washout.
Best camping I seen was Pinch River, but not on the Northern Side ( where I camped ) head over the bridge if coming from Jindy and turn right, heaps up there right on the river.
It’s a nice spot … just take it all in.
Which way you heading after that ?
Southern side of Pinch is in my opinion the best side mate....
Couldn’t agree more mate 👍🏼
Nice!
Thanks
Have you thought about doing a video of a walk around of the troopy and your set up ? What works for you or doesnt and any future plans ?
Dazzb, I actually have attempted the walk around twice now, both times I haven’t liked the footage that I came up with. Plus I actually hate talking into a camera, which makes it challenging for me to edit the content 🤦🏽
I will attempt it again in the near future, until then I will start doing a couple of reviews in videos while I’m camping of the gear I use etc.
it will happen one day mate. 👍🏼
@@aguyandhistroopy i was actually gonna ask u this same question the other night but i just forgot in the end 😂 even tho I’ve already seen it but you got it setup good could be ideas there for other troopy owners 👌
@@braydenclark5828 I might need a camera man for that episode!
@@aguyandhistroopy haha no worries mate swing me msg when u decide too do it
Hi mate, how’s the Barry way road in the wet?
It’s just a dirt road really, but with some steep drop offs, washouts and a heap of corrugations. Just need to take ya time and stay on your side of the road really. Than it should be an easy drive.
It's an unwritten law in the Aussie bush that you all wave to most folk as you pass! It's just a polite thing to do!
Couldn’t agree more, definitely should happen more often. 👍🏼
Anyone would be lucky to have you as their mate.
Your to kind mate. 👍🏼
What month of year did you do this
May last year Jerry, but I’ve driven it again a few months ago, have another video on it which I haven’t dropped yet.
So if you need to know anything just shout out mate ! 👍🏼
Quick question 🤔 What time of year is this.?
Start of May mate.
Do you burn eucalyptus for your campfires?
Yeah Barry, normally try get Redgum or such, burns good and good heat … Good hardwood!
Who needs toilets and you don't trash the place?
You never dug a hole and shit in it?
Don’t see any drop toilets in the Simpson Desert crossing and it’s not trashed… it’s a small few that do the wrong thing!
Hi mate, how’s the Barry way road in the wet?
Hi mate, how’s the Barry way road in the wet?
Should be fine mate, it’s just a dirt road, gets a bit rough in a few spots. Just wouldn’t tow in the wet.
