I have watched a few of these and the Korda podcasts and I think Adam epitomises why both brands are so successful. He has worked his way up through the ranks, is hardworking, honest, open and intelligent. Most importantly he has a real passion for the sport, can still see the funny side of things and has no ego.
regarding Sponsorship, Ads nailed it. Guru have the right ingredients when it comes to their (your) brand. I love how these podcast humanise Anglers and our beloved sport/leisure time. Keep em coming!
This is absolutely brilliant, Thank you for sharing. I watch all of the Korda podcast's they are brilliant, I was only going to listen to it for five minutes now I'm hooked. Well done Adam Rooney and the lads including the whole of the team and the young man at the other side of the Microphone, inspirational. Your friendship shines through. I missed listening to the football game last night to listen. This is truly inspirational stuff. These podcasts are great for my mental health, this is great to listen to, about our fishing. So honest and true. Thank you, For what you do for the sport, this is brilliant for the youngsters coming through, paints a true picture.
So much respect for Rooney doing the right thing putting family first ahead of fishing ambitions, his loyalty, his honesty. I hope he gets more England chances because he totally commits and is still young enough to do an England place justice. I can’t imagine him ever letting England down. An all round nice guy. And I love his all stars video stuff and work with Dean Macey. I am pretty sure they drove past me one day seeing my car full of fishing stuff, gave me a thumbs up. Pretty sure they both get renditions of Dean oh oh, Ronnie ee, keeping fishing fun. Love it.
Thoroughly enjoyed that fellas, better than anything off the telly. Don’t particularly like bright orange but have many guru items and they are all quality, you can see in Adam and the team he has developed that pure quality oozes through. Superb!
Brilliant so so good .all those 10yrs i was at every white acres festival adam rooney was at .i was never going to come anywhere but it was great times . Allways with my wife sue at the time and 2 dogs she took me to all thevenues .it was guinear before twin oaks . We were allways at the club house bar till the death .had a bar budget which we broke every night .great times great people .
J&K Tackle Bicester, seems a long time ago now Rooney. I’m only 1/2 way through & fascinated - brilliant. 3/4 of the way through & really enjoying it. Bloody great.
Throughly enjoyed that. Some great stories. Can’t wait to get back to match fishing after all the White Acres talk, missing the banter. And strangely enough I found a newspaper cutting a few weeks back of me stood in a Leicester WMC with Jan Porter, proper friendly gent!
Brilliant interview brought back some great memories from Wacres. I had travelled down Friday of the Preston festival and got to see Roo take the title and have one or two light ales 😉😉
Lovely stuff! 👏 Love Matt, wasn't so into Guru for a long time, too young and trendy for me, but the brand's growing because of the great team behind the brand. very interesting to hear about behind the scenes.
Great to listen to 👍🏻 Trinders was my local, every Friday I would go and pick up my bait after school (Dantre). Fished country park, borough hill, cannons Ashby and crockwell farms eydon. Interesting to know your from the same town👍🏻 Now trying to think if I remember seeing you about. Keep up the great work.
Bought my first new pole from trinders their heyford reptile carp pole, got 20 years out of that pole and put my pals daiwa to shame, I think it was made by faps, really good strong pole.
The guy off camera loves dropping the F bomb doesn't he? Hardly says anything in these podcasts but manages to swear pretty much every time. Shame as they've all been great otherwise.
