This is a sign that she didn’t want to give up and wants to be stronger. If she can now walk to her favorite human it shows the connection that they both have and the ❤ that they share❤❤❤
I had a Pekingese when I was a little girl. I wanted a dog for as long as I could remember, and my mom got him for me for my 10th birthday. When he was three years old, he slipped a disk while barking at a stranger in the front yard. I used all of my savings for his surgery. When it was done the doctors said that if he did not start walking soon after, he would probably never walk again. He did not walk after the surgery, so I started exercising his leg muscles everyday using my hands. The vet (lovingly) laughed at me when I told him what I was doing, but I did not care and kept doing it anyway. Guess what? He slowly regained FULL FUNCTION of his back legs and lived to be 15 years old!!! Never Give Up On Them!
Lisa Saunders - Good for you for not giving up! Vets do not know everything and sometimes we as pet parents have to go with our gut feeling to help our beloved furry friends. What a wonderful story to hear that your perseverance paid off and bonus that your dog had such a long life! Thank you for not giving up on your pet!
What a beautiful story, and life you sacrificed to give him! Shame on that Vet for laughing, and I can say that as my hubby is a Vet and definitely has seen many miracles! Bless you! ❤️🙏💞🐾
Congrats for being such a responsible little girl for your dog, many adults are not as mature as you were at that age and would just euthanize or dump their dog.
After a brain surgery, I'm a 2 legged version of Buttercup now, so from someone who truly understands, thank you for not giving up on Buttercup! We have SO much to share! Bless your family for being there the way she needs! ❤️🙏💞🐾😍
People called me cruel when I kept my dog alive after her back legs became paralysed. I also had to assist her to pee. However, she was in no pain, had a good appetite, and loved life. She lived like this for several years and probably had the best of lives. She couldn't get around (this was before wheelchairs were a thing for dogs), but she had always preferred to be carried. She enjoyed travelling by car and watching the word go by. Walkies were never her thing, but carries and rides got her excited. I'd do it all again. Never give up on a dog just because they can't walk.
I need to stop watching these at work cause the tears flow with every geobeats. I love the hearts of the ppl who love all these little’unwanteds’ and just give them the life and home each one needs 💕💕💕
My Jack had this and I would hold his hips going down to the yard and he would bark for me to help him up. Finally had to bring him to the vet and he crossed the bridge. I am crying as I write this..I loved that dog
I had an older dog who began loosing the use of her back legs. The vet told me it would get progressively worse until she wouldn’t be able to use them at all. Being the stubborn person that I am that answer wasn’t good enough for me. I began massaging her back and exercising her back legs several times a day. A few months later the vet was totally amazed that not only could she walk but she could run. I got her through two bouts of paralysis this way. Never give up on trying to help your pets. They will amaze you at what they can over come.
What a beautiful story! When our dog had hip dysplasia, the vet put her on osteobiflex for dogs, it took abt six months to really start helping, but from that point on she increased her mobility and lessened the pain.
I had an elderly Kitty and at the end of her life had to express the bladder and stimulate her poop chute to have a BM, but I didn't mind. She was and still is my love even though we are apart for a time because she's in Heaven.
On another video about this amazing family, I requested a video about the corgi with wheels, and it turned out SO much better than even I expected. I love Buttercup.
Whether you are a 2-legged or 4-legged member of this family, you are blessed and beautiful. I'm saving this video. As a card-carrying worrier, I need Buttercup's inspiration often.
Thank you for keeping her alive and working with her to build her strength. You truly are a hero that made a hero. Much love peace and happiness to you, your family and beautiful Buttercup.
