I changed spark plug , filter and oil 🛢 no start cleaned the carb.bowl kinda cold out no start I see your video taped it with my wrench fired right up . Thank you Sir.😅 . I have a nice life.😅

I am in shock... My m220 was dead in the water. It had also sat and had no oil for who knows how long. New oil, new gas, new sparkplug, no reaction. I just smacked the bottom carb like you and its alive? What?! Shit I'll take it 😂
It's a really good way to damage the carburetor permanently. The guy doesn't know what he is doing and is completely ignorant on what to do. If the mower is not starting one needs to figure out why. Is it spark or is it fuel? Once determined then you can move to the next step to repairing it. Never take a hammer to any part of your mower to determine why it's not starting. This video demonstrates why UA-cam propagates ignorance.
This drove me crazy! All summer I struggle to get this thing running. A few taps and it kicked over like a brand new mower! If I could cash app you right now I would! Thanks!
Literally just did this and it worked! 🎉🎉🎉. Mine is a toro looks identical, brand new, mowed 5 times, and last week it would start then die. Tried draining it and putting fresh gas, same thing. Was going to bring it in doe repairs, but this did the trick
Doesn't matter. Same concept, though if this fixes your issue I would suggest taking the carb off and cleaning it as it's a temporary fix in most cases. Blessings Edit: Added a comma

Omg my uncle gave me his 6.25 ex mower to repair and today I smacked the carb and it started right up, then i put seafoam in the tank before mowing my lawn for testing
I just want everyone here to know, Carbs are one of the simplest things on am engine. don't be afraid to rip into it. You aren't gonna learn if you don't want to try
Bowl. Not carb thingy. The float was stuck not letting gas enter the bowl for use. You can take that bolt out and actually clean the bowl and put it back. Takes about 49 seconds.

Ahhh I just should have been more gentle with the hammer on the right spot on the mower when it would not start 😅
Mine did that last week. I took it apart and cleaned the carb. It took me less than 1/2 an hour and I don't have to keep beating on it with a hammer.
