One must always face the east while cooking. Therefore, cooking appliances like microwave ovens and gas stoves need to be aligned along this direction, adds Madhuri. Place the kitchen sink along the north or north east direction. Don't place it on the same or parallel direction as that of the cooking platform
According to Vastu Shastra, the Lord of Fire-Agni-prevails in the southeast direction of the home, which means that the ideal placement of the kitchen is the southeast direction of your home. If for any reason, you are unable to do so, the north-west direction will work
The gas stove should be placed in the southeast corner of the kitchen. Being the fire element in the kitchen, it should be in the corner where the lord of fire exists. Cook to face only towards the East, hence, your gas stove should be placed towards the east.
It should not be in front of the main door of the kitchen. Gas stove or any other cooking material should be placed in such a way as allows the cook to face only towards the East while cooking. ... Cooking with face towards the south may lead to financial problems in the family. No shelf should be placed above cooking gas.
As per Vastu Shastra, one of the best ways to ensure financial stability is to grow your wealth in the earth corner of the home -the south-west. All your jewellery, money and important financial documents must be kept in the south-west (store such things in a cupboard or safe), facing north or north-east.
As per Vastu, the placement of fire sources should be in the south-east direction. So, the kitchen should be in the south-east corner of the house and one should face east while cooking. West is an alternate neutral direction to face, while cooking.

It is generally said that if there is any vault or storage system to keep financial things that are placed at the south west corner, the opening of the vault should not face towards the south or the west.
