I keep my toolboxes clean as well. I coated them with Poorboy's ceramic coating. (Bought for my truck, but didn't think it was the best against the elements.) I am also a Simple Green fan, but you can dilute it down 6:1 for fingerprints. Bottom line is (like you said)..........using anything is better than nothing. Very cool vid!!
@@alexmoran2460 I had the room originally but my OCD wouldn’t allow me to even consider the 42” as they sit much lower than the 56 and 72. Not a problem anymore! That side cab was actually super handy. I almost kept it for elsewhere in my shop but space is at a premium these days!
@DemoDad101 I have been looking into purchasing the 56 and 42 but would like them to be connected together and was wondering if it could be done I need lots of space as I am a automotive technician of 12+ years and need to upgrade from my 62inch box
@@christophermaples3895 it would be pretty difficult to move the boxes together…if you ever had to… but they can be bolted at the bottom. I have not explored this because I’m still waiting on an undamaged top chest for the 42”x
😂 well at least your tool box is clean. Start actually wrenching for 10 plus hours a day for 20 plus years. Then let’s see that box. Wait let’s just try it for a week then see where you stand. Oh I definitely noticed that messy shop 😂😂😂
I worked in a truck shop. The only man that owned it made his tool box with 8” blocks with 2x6 through the holes and plywood over it and had most is the tools on the top with a double layered plywood top and wood surround. He had been using it since the 60s.
Even if I wrenched for a living…10+ hours a day…I’d still keep my box clean. I grew up on a dairy farm. We did everything. If we were awake…we were working. We still kept everything clean and orderly. It’s just something I’ll always do. I work more than 10hrs a day now lol. I always spend a few minutes “resetting” my area for the next day. Believe me…it drives me crazy that my shops a mess. This is mostly due to things being displaced as work is done on the building itself. I also change my mine on how I’ve set things up. Things get displaced while I try new things.
Love the color, nothing wrong with keeping your toolbox and tools clean!! You take care of your tools and they will take care of you!! Take care
Thanks for the comment sir! Love your channel btw!

Thank you for your feedback! I’ve got some Simoniz Glasscoat sitting around my shop somewhere. I may try that down the road.
I use carpro reload 2.0 on my box. Looks good love your garage set up man.
Thanks man! It’s slowing getting there. One blood blister at a time lol.
We do our best to keep our toolboxes and shop as clean as we can. Great video, had to subscribe.
Thank you for the sub! I have really enjoyed making these videos!
@@DemoDad101 it shows, can't wait to see more.
Meguiars detail spray works great too. Same stuff we use on our vehicles.
I have some of that stuff also. It’s pretty old though lol.
You should get that other top box before they color changes. Very nice setup!!!
That's the plan! Every one that’s come in has been damaged and it’s had to be reordered. Probably going on 4 months now.
Hi what’s the dimensions of the 56 inch with the top open? At the very top of the lid please!
I’ll include that in a new video soon.
Did you get rid of the end cabinet?
I did. Once I discovered the 132Fab spacers for the 42”…I returned the end cabinet in favor of the 42” setup. It better utilizes the space.
@@DemoDad101 You actually inspired me to buy mine, but yes if I had the room, the 42 inch option is better.

is that a 42 connected to the 56?
Negative. I see no need to bolt them together.
But can you connect them
@@christophermaples3895 I suppose so. No way to connect the top but the bottom can be bolted together easily.
