Slander is a crime, it falls under defamation. I feel like this is a good opportunity to sue this woman, take her to court and have the record settled in court to both clear his name and get something out of her since she's supposedly so rich and worth so much, let's so how much she's worth after defamation fine for ruining this man's life. In the United States, slander/defamation is not a crime surprisingly, it is a tort so the guy can take her to court for a tort she still gets punished but not as severe for an actual “crime” which I find dumb because I personally think the United States should include severe defamation cases as an actual crime not a tort

The problem is that we live in a "guilty til convinced innocent" society. We take the accusations as truth and condemn the accused automatically. And even if you provide evidence of innocence, people can still be dead set on a guilty verdict

As sad as it sounds, I doubt he'll even get full justice. Why I say this is because first of all, The guy in this situation is a black man. I was accused of "pressuring" not too long ago by my ex girlfreind because she regretted it. It tore my friend group away from me even though i provided proof and evidence that I never did anything of the sort. Everyone still believed her. My best friend has been accused 2 separate times. I'm so mentally scarred from how being accused made me feel that I can't find attraction in women AT ALL. Every time I feel "in the mood" I start to feel icky and gross that someone I shared intimacy with felt that way about it. It's been almost a year but I still feel the effects.

There was a highschool student in my country who unalived himself because a classmate made a joke about him gRaping her, he didnt even bother trying to defend himself because he already understood and knew that the system and society would fail him (they did) and falsely persecute him, he went through with it and the girl later confessed to it being a "joke"...she faced no legal consequences...

One of my SGTs in the army had false allegations that basically ruined his career. Some disgusting single mom claimed he was inappropriate with her 3 year old daughter. He took it to court martial where she said she lied because he didn’t want to marry her and give his housing allowance to her. During this process he was isolated from the unit, frowned upon, lost rank, and went through emotional distress. He even attempted to end his own life. These women are ruthless. Even after the innocent verdict he was never the same and eventually ETS’d. Idk where he is now. He changed his number when he got out.

Craziest thing I’ve heard from a lawyer is that if you do it with someone who unknowingly had transmitted diseases and later get infected, it’s possible to take the diseased partner to court. I forgot the name of that law, I wonder if he will reference the false accusation in court.

The sad fact about cases like this is that men in general are going to become biased to any SA claim by women. I myself was accused of making unwanted advances, and thankfully, it was in a very public place, and everyone around defended me but it could be as simple as saying something to them like a greeting. Jokes aside, I remember coming across this post on Twitter and thought nothing of it. I thought this was just some personal drama between two parties and that was it. After watching this, Yeah I'm glad I didn't interact with that.
Figured it’s kind of the same thing, but this story reminds me of the 2012 Danish film “The Hunt” with Mads Mikkelsen. If you haven’t seen it, you NEED to watch it. It’s more relevant than its ever been. Mikkelsen plays a man who’s a kindergarten teacher and a little girl who he was close to in his class, acts up one day and tells another adult a lie about him that never happened until more and more of the townspeople hear about it and all their perspectives about him change and his life is in jeopardy. It’s a movie about how a simple rumor can spread like a virus, and dare I say, it’s probably one of the most bold, daring, and relevant films ever. It’s a truly uncomfortable and disturbing watch but it’s an absolute masterpiece of cinema.

This honestly makes me more afraid to talk to women because nowadays, the gamble I take could actually be what ruins or ends my life. You can tell me “oh there’s good girls and bad girls same with guys, blah blah blah”, but there’s been so many false accusations made by malicious women these days (and in the past too, check out Emmett Till as an example) that it’s hard to see the prospect of serious dating as anything more than just a death wish.
I agree and it’s sad. I could probably write an entire essay with purely just my opinion but it still wouldn’t be enough to describe how right you are and how much I agree with you. (I am a fellow male btw)

The fact that it is that simple is insane to me but it is and this delves deeper into another subject entirely but my point still stands. I’ll bring up another point and say when women get s*xually assaulted or domestically abuse we can say “not all men are like that” but that never removes their fear of approaching another man or seeing another man approach them does it? It doesn’t remove their fear of going out at night and risking a guy potentially looking at her alone does it? It doesn’t remove her fear of even being in the same vicinity of a guy let alone the same room does it? NO it does not so the same thing applies here in every way. All I can say to the women who say that is keep the same energy for men. That’s it. (Sorry for the long post but in simple terms I agree). 👍
