Hi! My main question with genie plus is.. let’s say you have a park reservation for magic kingdom but plan to park hop to Hollywood for the afternoon. Are you able to book something like slinky dog dash (or any Hollywood ride) at your first selection at 7 am?
You can book for another park if you have park hopper, but the return time has to be 2pm or later.
Why wouldn't they want to overstate the wait times? It's not always about them trying to push the Lightning Lanes on people. It's kinda common sense to put a buffer in to accommodate for unpredictability and random occurrences which can happen at any time and slow down the movement of the lines. I'd much rather they overestimate the forecast versus the actual other than the other way around, wouldn't you?
For example, if the wait time estimates by Disney for a ride were posted as 15 mins and it was actually 45 mins, who does that benefit? It's a lose-lose every time. When they overstate the estimates, it's almost always a win-win, at least more often than not.
How do I "refresh" in the app?
In the Tip Board when the LL for a ride says "Not Currently Offered" does that mean the LL option for that ride is sold out for the day?
It means it's sold out or perhaps the ride is down.
I know you can't book any genie + reservations until the morning of, but can you buy genie+ in advance so it's one less thing to do the day of? Can you store a payment method in the app so when it comes time to buy a lightening lane, you don't have to also put in a credit card every time?
You used to be able to buy Genie+ in advance, but they got ride of that for some reason. Now you have to buy it the day-of.
I am going tomorrow for the first time ever and already bought the genie plus with my tickets. Do i wait until tommorow to set it up? Or can i do something today already? It will probably get more clear as we go tomorrow but hallelujah, what a complicated thing! Also with the 2hrs between being able to get the next lightning lane.. they should take an example of universal studios front of the line pass.. way better and easy
Hi! I have two questions. How fast do the LL Genie+ lines move? For example, if the Standby Line for Pirates in 60 minutes, but you have the LL reservation, how fast will your line move? And second, do you pay per ride reservation, or do you pay one lump sum and have unlimited LL g+ all day long? Thanks!
The G+ LLs move pretty quickly. They allow less people through than back in the Fastpass days, so you definitely notice a big difference in that regard.
As to your other question - not sure if you watched the whole video, because both are true, depending on the ride. SOME rides are ILLs (Individual Lightning Lanes) like Rise of the Resistance and Guardians of the Galaxy - you pay for that actual ride, since these rides are not included in the normal Genie+ fee. But many other rides are included in the Genie+ category; where you pay a fee for the whole day, and "navigate" through booking your rides. It is NOT like Universal, where you buy the Express Pass and can just walk up to any ride and get in the short line, whenever you feel like it. At Disney, you have to purchase Genie+ and then you can TRY to get the rides you want.
Where or how can I see or tell what rides need extra pay for LL and are not in the genie+

can you book your rides 1st thing in the morning to ensure you get good times?
It's so much more complicated than that, unfortunately. You can book two separately paid rides first thing in the morning (called "Individual Lightning Lanes") and one ride through Genie+. Then for the rest of your rides, you have to either book as you go, or book every two hours, whichever comes next. It's something I help my clients with when they book their Disney trips through me. They really couldn’t just stop at removing the fast pass booths so people would only be able to get fast passes by paying ten dollars more per ticket? I feel like I have to do homework to go on vacation.
It IS a lot of work, and it's quite frustrating. I'm hoping that there WILL be a change at some point.
How would you change to a later time?
Disney now allows you to modify a Genie+ time. (Previously, you had to cancel and rebook.)
Is there a limit on how many rides you can ride using the LL in single day?
There's not a set limit, but you ARE limited to one G+ per ride. (Meaning, you can't get two Genie+ Lightning Lanes for Space Mountain on the same day.)

Can you cancel a ride you've reserved and then reserve a new ride?
Yes, but you have a window where you don't know if you'll get a new one to replace that canceled one. They don't have a "replace" option at this time, although they should!
