Theres a reason doctors balk at early hysterectomy, mainly the cessation of oestrogen production which means instant menopause, which, if you are not aware, is the harbinger of osteoporosis, psychological problems and a host of other conditions not least vaginal atrophy which I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy.

    • @Blueell

@@Foxiepawstottithat’s only if you have your ovaries removed, which you don’t necessarily have to depending on what is wrong. I have endometriosis and want a hysterectomy, but I am not letting my ovaries go unless something like a cyst rupture happens and they have to be removed to save my life. I am not allowed to take estrogen due to it raising my clotting factor so I’d be in a real mess and I agree with the doctors we shouldn’t do that.

    • @amyme4066

@AnneAndersonFoxiepaws yes but they did say in a severe situation. Endometriosis is awful, every one of my internal reproductive organs is coated in webs of scar tissue. The pain is unbearable when I'm on and barely bearable when I'm not. I was refused over and over again when younger and now I'm "too old and not in the right weight range" but can't exercise because of other health conditions so am stuck until I have menopause. Osteoporosis has treatments that can be given to compensate for the lack of hormones too, they aren't particularly pleasant but better than severe endometriosis. There are ways around most of the side effects of having a hysterectomy and women in my position would happily jump at them. Either they need to get better at treating the underlying conditions that cause women to ask for hysterectomy or should stop policing the best current remedy available which is a hysterectomy. Even having tubes tied for women with early stage endo can massively help with symptoms and is reversible so why not do that.

I think a lot of people especially young folks are getting body dysmorphia and mistaking it for gender dysmorphia. Body dysmorphia is very normal and a part of low self esteem, low self confidence and anxiety. It’s the same dysmorphia that leads people to having too many boob jobs or 5 rhinoplasties but it’s also the same dysmorphia that settles away with proper therapy, life experiences and for most adulthood experiences & healthy sexual experiences boosting confidence about the dysmorphic body parts.
Kids are not hearing older women and elderly women speaking about their bodies. Their not hearing older men or seniors talk about their bodies. Why? Because they don’t have big families, live isolated or don’t have relationships outside these age ranges. I really believe being a young woman for example around older women can truly change how you think about your body and accept it.

The doctors don’t know much about the long term effects of gender care, so it’s a bit pointless to look to them as the authority. It’s not an easy time right now, until we have more studies that doctors can rely on to provide care it’s anecdotal evidence. It’s hard to find a doctor who knows what they’re doing. Well said Buck. I waited until I was 32 to transition to make sure I really wanted this life commitment. I tried so hard for years to live as a female. I had relationships with men to try and fit in and then later on women to try and fit in the lesbian world but I realised that I couldn't carry on. I was close to ending my life as there was no support, the internet was a new thing. I am now 52. I had a lot of therapy before and knew that it was a life changing permeant decision. I am old school and cant understand the new generation of trans people that don't take it seriously. I know that everyone is different but I couldn't wait to have my hysto and ooperectomy because of my dysphoria. I had to wait 10 years to have phalloplasty because at the time funding was different and it came from a local authority and wasn't centralised. To say the wait was tough is an understatement. I don't regret transitioning and I took on board the risks. Who knows what my life expectancy will be now, but that is the cost you pay for taking hormones that aren't designed for your biological gender. It is serious stuff and I wish the newer generations would realise this.

Especially when you are dosing estrogen rather than what your body makes naturally. A person's body is made to balance the hormones needed for you specifically to be healthy. No doctor can do that ever. I don't care how many blood tests they do, they can't balance what you need like your own body can. Doctors know that. They also know they can't make money that way so they'll never say that out loud. This is just one big cash grab like lobotomies. They are gonna ride this gravy train till they are forced to stop.

I love the work you do. I can't help but feel like I would have been cohersed into being trans if I was in school now. I was a sexually confused teenage girl (bisexual but identified as a lesbian because I wasn't comfortable being vulnerable around men) and was fully developed by 14, with a huge chest. If someone in authority had told me having my breasts removed and taking medication to stop my period was an option, I'm sure I would have done it.
Now, I'm 36, married to a man, and looking to see if it's still viable to have my own children. I'm happy with my body and my identity, and the idea that I could have made such a huge mistake because puberty was hard is scary enough.
I can't imagine what these people are going through and my heart hurts for them.

It’s so scary these young people take hormones so lightly vs the scheduled drug testosterone is. I don’t think the medical team helps by not following the young people closely with labs and exams. The medical system isn’t properly educating them and it’s tragic. MD are exploiting young people while they struggle with all of this. It’s a serious health concern. Dangerous. I hope there gets to be some actual guidelines and doctors who are prescribing hormones like this are held accountable. I don’t want anyone harmed.

I started thinking about it at 12, and in my twenties, I began discussing it and dressing more male. By my mid-thirties, the anger and depression became unbearable. I found an LGBT-friendly psychologist and, after a year of therapy, received a referral letter for an endocrinologist. The endocrinologist started me on a low dose of testosterone after a careful evaluation. When I sought top surgery, both the surgeon and nurse ensured I was fully committed to the procedure. Though frustrating at the time, I now see the importance of these precautions. I had three trans male friends; two have since detransitioned. This baffles me and makes me think they might not have had enough support or deliberation from the medical community.

Yeah, that's something I don't think I've ever seen UA-camrs talk about in a nuanced way... Trans men and pregnancy doesn't make sense to me at all, but video responses are always either 'eww, gross and wtf!' or 'this is totally fine, more trans men should do it!' Both are very unhelpful, people need to hear facts instead of heavily biased information. When trans men don't freeze their eggs and just stop the testosterone to get pregnant - surely after years on a synthetic hormone, there's some impact on the ovaries? Even if they do freeze their eggs but they want to carry the baby - surely after years on a synthetic hormone, there's some impact on the womb and other essential parts of the reproductive system? To my knowledge, the babies born so far seem healthy, but who knows? Would be good to hear insights from a physician in a relevant specialist field.

She is 22. Her parents were completely inept and did the bare minimum to "raise" her and her brother, so the world has had way more of an influence than they ever did. I've been close to the LGBT community since the steps of the capital building back in the 90s when we fought for marriage rights, so I feel like I know what a real trans person is like. She genuinely does NOT seem trans-she seems confused and influenced-she is exactly like all the other Gen Z girls who are playing this game. She has zero plans to do any surgeries either top or bottom. She is also dating a man who wants to be a girl and they live together and are sexually active...Dude....it's a lot. Like, it’s not a giant pool where you can swim back and forth.
In this case, it’s odd to me that these “transitioners” aren’t being educated by the doctors that provide the treatments. Like, are these doctors experiencing some sort of dysphoria themselves? Like, are they completely unable to disclose these things because they’re blinded by the desire to make the “ill” “well”? Like, maybe a “doctor dysohoria” of sorts?

I understand the past history of conversion-therapy and many other forms of therapy that were designed to "help" the LGBTQ+ community, but instead ended up hurting them. But to go through such a drastic and dramatic life change, and then you're playing with your hormones or not taking it seriously, shows that a person may not be as gender dysphoric as they think. Maybe they're just following a trend, weren't educated about puberty or their body from a young age, or even just trying to avoid emotions from other things like an eating disorder or body dysmorphia. I started at 26, and have been on for 6 years now and have had top surgery and then two years later had my hysterectomy, and I needed my hysterectomy because of the T and that was okay with me cuz i don't have to give birth because that would make so really dysphoric. I am sad I have to explain things to people about hormones cuz doctors are not telling them and people are telling them lies on the Internet. The biggest thing I get in the discussions about people with is that they have body dysmorphia not gender dysphoria two different things..... Smh

Nowadays women don’t want to admit that but our bodies are delicate, our bodies have complicated hormonal processes and when those processes don’t work and the hormonal balance is disrupted we are getting sick. With men it is much simpler but still men also have hormonal issues.
Our bodies are meant to be cherished and taken care of not to be destroyed pumping hormones. If you need to do that because you have gender disphoria and it is your only solution to get better you do it under doctors supervision and you should be aware it may impact your health negatively but it is your decision. I wish women would understand their bodies are special

All women that are going through perimenopause, Menopause or if estrogen is taken away your body, the vagina will suffer and adding estrogen cream to the area localised will not go into your system but will help the vagina stay healthy and happy. Three types of estrogen, Estriol is weaker and used in vaginal cream, Estradiol is used in HRT gels and is for women adding estrogen into the body and estrone is what we make after menopause from adrenal glands and body fat.

@@MyPronounIsGoddess It's not the same thing as in biological women taking huge doses of testosterone for years. Post menopausal women usually DO NOT have to surgically remove their uterus and fallopian tubes. In post menopausal women a small dose of estrogen cream or injection can help and they only get drier thinner vaginal lining its not even comparable. Dont try to make this a non issue or "normal". Women that transition to trans men should be told all this and that they will be patients for life before transitioning. It breaks my heart that these money hungry doctors do this to these poor girls. Its unethical. They don't even get the chance to make an informed decision because the doctors don't inform them! Also the problems the huge doses of testosterone can cause on the heart, kidney failure and let's not even start with bottom surgery.

@BuckAngelOfficial I know this is not relevant to this video, though I wanted to ask someone who would know and just tell me.
I have been involved with a man who I just believed was a cross dresser, and I know believe fits the autogynephilia. I am a 44 year old female in Sydney 🦘 and he's 52.
My question would really be, are there any dangers associated with these men? He displayed the oddest behaviour and normally just says what he wants, and this time, he just used dominance to show what he wanted.
I don't need a problem male after a 17-year marriage that has ended with a trial against my husband starting in 4 weeks.

OMG! You are so right. You need to sit with this decision. You need counselling and full disclosure. That person who talked about going against doctors telling you that you need a hysterectomy. He is not a doctor. None of them are doctors. These trans Men who are having periods evidently are not transsexual. I had no idea how it would throw you. But if it had to be done, you would have to live with it. These kids are self diagnosing and basically commanding doctors to do it. Happy endings for all. What would have happened to you if this was not an option? Would you be on psych meds? Would you be called names? If it came down to life threatening diseases and conditions, would you not do it if it could save all these people? You made your choice and are living with it. But at least you are surviving with dysphoria. It didn't cure it. I'm glad you are there for people who will listen to you. You say no to folks and they don't always like that word.
