It’s not straight forward, and you do hear of de-transitioners (which is a really hard thing to go through, especially if they’ve had surgery or sterilisation etc). @@abbeysteffen703 What she is saying is that Buck knew that he was genetically a female. But the brain doesn't always correlate with genetics in this case.
@Snails40 No, it's actually the brain. During pregnancy the mother can have a bit more testosterone than is normal. Because the foetus is so small it is influenced a lot by this and can develop a (partly) male brain, or very male brain in case the foetus has xy chromosomes. These people have mostly long ring fingers aswell. More of the males are autistic and more of the females are lesbians or gender dysphore.

You just can't run away from it doesn't matter how much testosterone you take.
That's often the case when transgender people are socialised as their biological sex. He grew up as a female despite feeling male inside, and so will always painting some more feminine traits. Transitioning is often about reducing or eliminating those traits :)

What bothers me so much is that he was a female once and can grow better facial hair than me. I am so jealous right now.
Vey Get over it. It's all genetics, blame your family.
@Snails40 Believe it or not, testosterone alone won't help with the facial hair. Not all men can grow facial hair, and the same is true for trans guys. It's literally up to their family genetics. If his dad and grandfathers hadn't been able to grow facial hair, he wouldn't have either.
Urgh .I just love this guy. Beautiful beautiful human 💘
The more I learn about him, the more I like him.
I dont know you and it may seem silly to say this but i'm so proud of you....you can tell you have alot of strength within you......good for you for embracing life....be safe and take care Buck!
I'm glad his parents were so accepting early on
I appreciate that Buck can still call out BS about the woke trans movement
Wow...just wow. I loved watching this and hearing your joy.
73 (gasp) year old cis grandma here. I salute you!
Really? I am 19 year old trans-man. I am so surpised that your using the word Cis. I am surpised in a good way.
Please don't use the word Cis. It's turned into an epithet.
Alcohol & Addiction is always a sign of a deeper issue. I truly hope you have found true fulfillment ❤
Love Buck, love OG LGB (and when legit) T people. He’s so honest and I feel like he could be a Socratic teacher based on his interviews and discussions. Such a positive, humble, open, and tough person.
That’s what marginalized used to mean and what it really still means by definition not by politicalization. Make no mistake - marginalized doesn’t mean victimized. I love Buck and the community/circle he creates and participated in for that.
Hopefully- and I believe strongly, eventually- people will come to hear, understand, and acknowledge Buck & Co.’s wisdom + experience.
Yes, I did just say HUA and I’m pro LGBT and not Christian and also not American but still bi and a veteran 🙄 Nothing more cringey than woke kids my age in high level college classes telling me they know more about a woman’s experience in the military or as a first gen immigrant or as a completely independent person from the second of legal age (but really before that for years just not emancipated) or as a person who actually experienced serious trauma and abuse with zero aid or intervention from a young age WHEN…… They literally have zero experience, are not in the military, are living with their parents, don’t work or support themselves, and have never experienced trauma. But in their kind and loving nature, when a REAL “victim” (I put it in quotations bc that’s what I was not what I am), speaks to them, they verbally abuse me and gaslight me
IN PUBLIC, IN A FEMINISM AND GENDER STUDIES CLASS IN THE ONLINE CHAT for everyone to see.
I have no respect for fellow women who abandon the real cause of equality for belonging or superiority. I’ve seen it in the military when women pretend they don’t see their female peers being abused or harassed bc they want to avoid bullying or harassment by crapping on women and pretending to themselves they are “one of the guys”. You are not a guy, and if you genuinely believe in equality and you put a predatory man’s interests above your own principles…. Sorry B. You aren’t my fellow female, you aren’t community or a friend, you aren’t a legit “activist”, you aren’t a whole grown woman, and don’t you dare tell me that my actual knowledge and life and experience is invalid because of your protected classroom hypothesized BS while telling me you’re a feminist. You just proved beyond reasonable doubt you most certainly are not. F O F
And thanks again Buck ❤️

I never had gender dysphoria. I see myself as a female. And I will dress not girly. I am a tomboy. But I love how real Buck is. And how he speaks his mind. I'm so happy he's doing better. But I'm glad he's been open to the transitioning and doesn't lie about it. We need more people like Buck. And he is against kids transitioning.

He should go to those states that are passing anti trans bathroom laws, and go into womans restrooms as protest
+Griffin Crowley That would be fucking hilarious lol.
great great comment!!!
You sound pretty sexist. He is a man, why would he go to the womans restroom?
Trans bathrooms are ridiculous because at one side the supporters say they are female or male and not Trans but on the other hand they want a seperated restroom.

So if you want to be a fish, should the government pay for your gill transplant surgery? This isn't an unrelated parallel, with people being trans-species, trans-age, etc. Liberals don't understand gender dysphoria for what it is, and refuse to see the insanity of forcing others to not only accept "who you are" but pay for you to become "who you are". Forgive me for not buying into the bullcrap.

I think grown adults can do this if they want. I don't want to pay for surgery and therapy and stuff, and I'm not going to jail if I use the wrong pronouns, but a grown person can do this if they want. It's clear from his life story that he never felt female from day one.

I really don’t get how anyone says children’s toys are ‘male’ or ‘female’. I’m a woman and we all (boys and girls) played with all toys and played all types of games, we never thought that if you liked such and such you have to be male or female. For me, being a woman is only about my anatomy and my own natural hormones. I don’t have to cut all my bits off or out, just because I like carpentry and don’t wear makeup
I really appreciate you Buck I think that you are extremely mentally healthy and I think you would be a great roll model for the trans community. I don't agree with the sex changes and that but I don't have to I don't live in your shoes but I really respect you. Your a good person.

I didn't know until I was 20 it was possible to transition. I grew up so sheltered. Immediately I took care of getting on hormones. Still need top surgery. It's been over ten years since I started t. I so need surgery. It comes down to the root of your being in every situation. It effects your life when you don't feel right.
Never complain about being sheltered. There are children who pray for a sheltered life instead of being beaten or sexually abused or starved or even running from war.
Buck Angel.. . Your HOT.

@dank memes please find the nearest exit and get out
@Snails40 Where the fuck do you think feelings come from? Your left pinky finger?
@Snails40 No, it's actually the brain. During pregnancy the mother can have a bit more testosterone than is normal. Because the foetus is so small it is influenced a lot by this and can develop a (partly) male brain, or very male brain in case the foetus has xy chromosomes. These people have mostly long ring fingers aswell. More of the males are autistic and more of the females are lesbians or gender dysphore.

That's often the case when transgender people are socialised as their biological sex. He grew up as a female despite feeling male inside, and so will always painting some more feminine traits. Transitioning is often about reducing or eliminating those traits :)
