Korin’s lax voice honestly fits better for him than FUNimation’s voices. And I forgot how good Brian Drummond’s Yajirobe was. The guy voicing Tenshinhan is still trying way too hard tho.

Even Funimations' dub- which is ironically held up as a sort of gold standard- is censored to be marketed to children. Lewd magazine covers are replaced, Hell was turned into the Home For Infinite Losers (HFIL), blood was digitally removed from wounds, dialogue was altered to cut out swearing... All to marklet to children. And who's generally the biggest consumer base for DBZ outside of Japan? People ages 25 - 35; people who were children when it started airing in the west.
