I'm actually a big fan of the heat shield aesthetic, glad more companies other than ASUS are following suit with that idea.

As am i Ashnno love the clean look, the steel MB backplate. one of my older builds was with the ASUS Tuf Z270 Mark 1, a beast put it in a Corsair Vengeance C-70 Case with a digital camo paint job. 10 fan headers dam .

3:53 Try to add a m.2 drive if you have a full custom waterloop.......NOT gonna happen with this one piece of cover design.
Nice looking board but with one BIG design mistake in my opinion.
EDIT: Very nice video because you also talk about the above problem later in the video (I was to fast with my comment) :P

Big fan of network connectivity, but 3 ports seems wierd. The second 1gbit port seems useless.

At least as far as mainstream Intel platform is concerned (Z390), Asus is dead last (maybe second to last, only NZXT being behind).

Well, all I can say is I got burned by jumping on the threadripper waggon too early. Needed a stable system for software development in virtual machines using things like PCI passthrough - nothing worked. Took AMD and the boardmakers a year to get that settled.
