Thank you EVO for doing a video on my favourite car of all time, Both the Low Drag & Speedster are masterpieces & if I ever even have the chance to see one let along drive one, I would the happiest man alive, well done Eagle, your the best :)
bibbly bobbly Oh the 33 Stradale is a BEAUTIFUL car, right up there with the Ferrari 330 P4 race car! You should see it in real life, it's really, really low. Modified from a Tipo 33 racer, its literally a racing car underneath that gorgeous shell. The Alfa Romeo TZ is also a stunner too! xD
Henry - you’re a superb presenter. That Eagle is simply gorgeous, money no object, it’s top of the list, and absolutely no contest in comparison with more expensive HyperCars. Eagle every time.
It is something very special in every way. I first saw the open car with J. Clarkston several seasons ago. He too, was duly impressed by it's perfection. It's unanimous then against us three though I'll never see one much less drive it.
Everything about this car - the craftsmanship, the style, the amazing attention to detail - makes me proud to be British. Just imagine this in my fantasy garage/hangar, next to the Spitfire and Vincent Black Shadow! Rule Britannia
Crikey...that is fantastic! Thanks Henry. I reckon I'd have one of these - the Speedster or the Low Drag - if I had the spare cash. What a beautiful thing.
Visualizing... stopped raining few hours ago and the sky is breaking up in majestic colors of sunset. Driving this romantic beauty, thru a pine forest in Idaho. And eerily, that somehow connects me to Brighter Than a Thousand Suns by Killing Joke...
As I see cars like this and the Singer (Porsche), it makes me wonder what other modern iterations of historic legacies there is now room in the world for. Lamborghini Miura, Islero or Countach? Ferrari 250LM? Alfa Romeo Type 33? Porsche 904? McLaren M6GT? Maybe even an honest to goodness modern Austin Healey 3000 MKIII? Moving to more recent cars, how about a modern Audi Sport Quattro, BMW E21, Volkswagen A1 Rabbit/Golf, Lotus Esprit S1 or DeLorean DMC-12? Are there buyers just waiting for the chance to purchase a modernized, re-imagined or otherwise idealized version of any of these? Would the OE manufacturers stand for it? What an interesting world... Thanks for sharing the Low Drag GT with us. Such a beautiful car, wonderfully covered. I only wish the video were longer. Much longer.
Hey you guys at evo, you wouldnt happen to know what the rim width and choice of tires are for the front and rear? along with the rims themselves, as it really complements the car nicely and sets it off well.
any ideas on ultrac cento tyres? They seems very soft walled when tired them. Making dry weather handling a bit rubbish. But perhaps it suits the car and lighter weight than mine.
This car makes me love E-types. Because of the rear end of the car. It is hands down the best part of the vehicle and is what makes it a low drag coupe. With that said why in hell did you not show a still picture of the finished product? The front end looks like all the other e-types. The back is the defining feature. Kinda bummed that it wasn't featured like it should be. Its like doing a feature on a long tail 917 and not showing the long tail lol
I think the only car that can be in the same league as this beauty is the aston martin db9/dbs and vanquish. But even then this car is so much more beautiful.
+Colds yup some people have taste and others don't- age over time usually improves taste and perspective.. 60s era sports cars were the pinnacle of design - no question.
God this thing is pretty. Normally silver is the most boring colour to clad a car in, but the flakes in this silver, combined with the cars nostalgic nature, gives it a sort of early aeroplane feel. One thing, and this not a complaint, that I'd like to see would be a racing version of this. Not stripped out, but aesthetically true to the original car while retaining the Speedster's curvy shape. If I had a complaint it'd be the carbon fiber manifold, but really that's just being picky. It all comes down to this: Even though I'll never own this car, I thank Eagle for making it. The Speedster is prettier, but this has more character. Like this if you think I should be a motoring journalist :P
I have to question the wisdom of taking an in-line six-cylinder automotive engine to 4.7l (nearly 800cc per cylinder). Circa 3 litres (3.5 at the outside) and forced induction would have been a much better option, IMO. And prettier than the E-Type? No, not to these eyes - most striking is the loss of the straight 'fillet' for the windows, with the distinct crease along the line of the rear wing (the 'haunches') that made the E-type instantly appealing.
That is the coolest car of all time, past, present, future.
Thank you EVO for doing a video on my favourite car of all time, Both the Low Drag & Speedster are masterpieces & if I ever even have the chance to see one let along drive one, I would the happiest man alive, well done Eagle, your the best :)
Nice
I've only ever seen one, when I was on a trip to London. It's a gorgeous car, and one I'd be lucky to ever drive.
My dream garage would have this and a Singer 911 parked next to each other - perfection ;)
Iain Murray I was thinking the same thing.
+Iain Murray Exactly my screensaver :D On the left screen a low drag gt and on the right screen a singer 911
Axel Love it :)
+Iain Murray I like... though I'd also have to include the Alfaholics GTA-R 290.

The people of eagle are true masterminds. Brilliant job chaps!

Am I the only one that is curious about how they got the paint job to look so much like bare aluminum with all the right reflections?
still watching it !
Stunning to me the best cars in the world growing up i used to see willam lyons every day he used to drive past the house where i lived
Everything about this car - the craftsmanship, the style, the amazing attention to detail - makes me proud to be British. Just imagine this in my fantasy garage/hangar, next to the Spitfire and Vincent Black Shadow! Rule Britannia
Forget your Aventadors & F12's, fantastic as they are, this is where I'd spend my Euromillions money.
Agreed. I'd put my 23 year old Swedish supermodel girlfriend in and drive down to my lakefront villa on lake Garda.
I love the E-Type and this car seems to improve upon the original in every way. Absolutely gorgeous and my new dream car!!!
Absolutely stunning, this over a 458/12c/Gallardo any day

Crikey...that is fantastic! Thanks Henry. I reckon I'd have one of these - the Speedster or the Low Drag - if I had the spare cash. What a beautiful thing.
I still haven't seen a more beautiful car

@@ale16_69 No, my opinion is still my opinion on this and doesn't change because you list cars that you like more.

Stunning, stunning stunning. Yes I would have a 911 Singer over it, but it would be the second car in my fantasy garage. Thanks Evo, more please.
Great video guys!

If these bespoke renditions of classics keep popping up, then there is no doubt going to be one doing the Muria.
Don't forget american classic like corvette, mustang or Firebird
ive envied this car since it came out. Beautiful and amazing
Wow, this car actually makes me contemplate selling my house. Waiting time for delivery of one of these must be 5 years+
You can live under a bridge till then. Worth it!
+Deo Heerai A sofa can be just as comfy as a bed, remember that.
What an incredibly beautiful car in an outstanding location @goodwood. Dreams of a lottery win....
Besides the rims this car is perfect
the wheels are awesome it's hard to make the E-Type look correct on Alloy wheels.
arod man
I think wire is the best choice, but these look ok.
It needs those chrome spinners you see on ghetto cars.
That thing looks amazing
Definitely Stunning !

any ideas on ultrac cento tyres? They seems very soft walled when tired them. Making dry weather handling a bit rubbish. But perhaps it suits the car and lighter weight than mine.
When is mass production sheduled ?
+WhichLens they only make 1 car ever 18 month. there is No mass production for cars like these.
+WhichLens Lol, that's like asking Mozart when he's going to make a pop song! xD
25k per wind screen....

Great car!
If you wear headphones you can hear every movement of his saliva.
Pretty much par for the course with Harry Catchpole..That and the emotionless narration/reading during what would otherwise be a great story.
It's like listening to my dog lick it's balls.
+zGJungle ZG top comment!

any of the Eagles E Types and a Singer 911. All I need in my garage
Dream car
You can stick the La Ferrari I'd have this any day of the week

Great video!
Catchpole; Is that his name or his profession?
I'm saving up to buy one of these. I'll get back to you in about 300 years.

I don't really like Jaguar but damn is that a amazing car.

One of these, delete power steering or maybe hydraulic with less assist, and you've got my dream car! Singer 911 gets 2nd place
Damn! That is nice.

+Samstrat94 The customer might be European or American
Thats the perfect car
No view from the rear?? What the?
So, u liked it?
dawmn awesome car!
wow!...
Love this car, so did Jeremy.
Only thing I don't like are all the popups.
What a fking beautiful car if it was a band it would be depeche mode or tears for fears
I think the only car that can be in the same league as this beauty is the aston martin db9/dbs and vanquish. But even then this car is so much more beautiful.
I feel like the only human who doesn't see what's so good about the looks but then again I'm probably just not old enough
+Colds yup some people have taste and others don't- age over time usually improves taste and perspective.. 60s era sports cars were the pinnacle of design - no question.

Just like how Jeremy Clarkson has aptly put it - I yearn for this car. If I ever made enough money to own a supercar, I would own an Eagle E-type.
entering in the car is a challenge
Love those rear wheels...hot!

Where is Harry Metcalfe?
Metcalfe has left EVO. He works at JLR.
ianiva
Thats sad news. I LOVED his videos.
