9:27 9:28 I am laughing like a mad 😂
I love intro meme 😂
6:22 sombody sample it and made it to a breakdown please.
Nik samples/noises was:
1. The sinner
2. You call that a knife? This is a knife!
3. The lines
I show in you context
Im still wondering where Niks russian accent ends and his real accent starts
fazeel ashraf Just watch his reaction videos. He’s actually Canadian
like swedish on pew's
What do you mean "accent"? This is his real voice, the Canadian one is him putting on an accent.
@@velinvansande5644 slav is my spirit animal (ok, sorry, please, put down the ak47)
@@delarkaBCN I will not put down the kalashnik, I will take my Lada and adidas tracksuit and squat on you
"so yőr songs dont sound lik sudden *HCHKA* out of nowhere "
I read it with that distinctive russian accent
Yes

qgloafhun XD
sudden Ы
Nik just made this video to show off his cool riff he wrote
That's my whole youtube channel
@@NikNocturnal i cant write a c# riff 😑
we came here from ula's how to write a metal riff 😂
Come on Nik, we all know the point of an intro is to trick the audience into thinking that your blackened-brutal-technical-death-metal track will be listenable by giving it a melodic piano introduction.
Yes
Sneering Imperialist like “Dying in Your Arms” by Trivium
I love that your videos are entertaining but educating at the same time. that’s what I call quality content
Thanks Nivan!
Haha best part is when you start losing your fake accent
IKR 😂
:O
Damn im high as fuck im going to check old videos right now all day!
I just realized that. Thanks
lmao always happens in these longer videos
He basically starts sounding like Slavic Shrek at times.
your english is getting better
@Rob Smith woosh
@Rob Smith after editing your comment ahaha
@Rob Smith all goods brother aha
@Rob Smith wtf u write before?
@Rob Smith dude i so fckn sorry, i'm a new subscribers" so i dn't know what do you mean :)
I love how inconsistent the russian accent is.
yes
@@NikNocturnal you mean "da"?
@@devcor shit you got him there
Fade In + Lo-fi
Add killswitch at the end of the bars
Boom
Zainul Risyad or scratch the taint
"Scratch the Taint" are playing tonight
This is too on the nose
Easier intro idea:
"GIVE ME FUEL
GIVE ME FIRE
GIVE ME THAT WHICH I DESIRE"
I love that song, awesome intro
GIMME FOO GIMME FAH GIMME DUBATIMASA
Add a horror/porn movie sample and then shove your blast beats so hard in the listener's ears they'll have to bury it with them still inside
Lmao
Pray For Plagues 😂
I've done that
“And as always, have nice day.”
FPS russia
I miss him
Nik Nocturnal RIP 🙏🙏
Nik Nocturnal Same man
I read fps Russia just the way he says it
RIP😞😞
I wrote an awesome riff, i'm thinking "how can i make it stand out" check phone *notification, Nik Nocturnal released a new videos "How to make amazing metal song intros"* Your timing is just the best.
;)
Avenged Sevenfold is really good about this kind of thing especially on City of Evil
DA MAN667 the stage and hail to the king
SoutherlyTag67 yeah :)
pretty sure you can find every tip except the reverse snare hit in at least one of their songs lol
Very true
@@lordoflobsters7254being honest, there's a lot of songs where a reverse snare or cymbal fits perfectly
like ALPOH
As a complete novice at guitar I enjoy watching these videos
Thanks Zack!
i don't play at all, plus his taste's a bit heavy for me, but i watch because he's obviously so good and entertaining.
One of my all time favorite metal(core) intros is blessthefall - Hollow Bodies
Yeah totally
^^^
Wow. Just had a listen. It has everything going on. Crazy vibe.
Born of Osiris - Machine
Monuments - Regenerate
Bedsheet metal sounds like a sick genre
It's intense
I like the foreshadowing technique a lot, especially on records like Shogun by Trivium, where they start of the first song on the album (Kirisute Gomen) with the chorus melody of the last song (Shogun) cause then you get to see more than one song link into each other with their themes.
Lol, it seems like all I can write are intros. I have ten's of unfinished songs because I lose all concept of where to go after the intro is set.
Lol it happens to everyone homey, I usually get to about half of the song before I get writers block for a couple of days (or weeks)
Try starting with a verse riff and work that into the chorus. That's usually what i do. I focus on the meat and potatoes first lol. Then an intro, breakdown, fills and shit like that usually falls into place pretty easily.
Just try to follow the theme your intro provides, play with what feels natural to your ears instead of thinking like a guitarist at some points
@@baraldobumpa3447 Lol, good to know!
@@fastfingerfredy Thanks man, I'll give it a go!
When you said reverse first thing I thought was Blackened
fart noise+ reverb for intro?.... you're genius
Not gona lie that riff is amazing!!
Nik, seriously, you have so many great tips in there. Thanks for sharing these. Subscribed to your patreon, 100% worth supporting you.
7/8 rating, not enough water bottles
Just take note from Shogun by Trivium. That record has intro riffs galore.
^^
This
Yasssss 🤘
Kirisute Gomen and Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis are some of the best examples
The intro for Kirisute Gonen is basically the Vocal melody for the track Shogun's chorus
I was waiting so long for the drums to go half-time. I was not disappointed.
Hilarious video! Also if that riff you wrote isnt already one of your songs you should keep it its so badass!
Thanks!
Good Lord please tell me you're gunna make a full track from this.
Forsaken by As I Lay Dying has a sweet intro with multiple “parts” before they DESTROY you with their killer riff. That and Tim’s scream leads you in nicely too. Song starts slow but kicks in gear over a minute or so.
You're a true Artist sir much RESPECT
All of them combined actually sounds FUCKN SICK!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
tank you very much.lessons were pure gold pieces.
One of my favorite intro riffs is the creeping death intro, simple yet powerful. Really gets the audience going.
Gopnik Nik gives the best memeful yet educational videos! As a producer trying to learn more about Metal song structures. These videos are absolutely perfect! will be putting this lesson to use right away!
Thank you!
One of the best guitars I’ve ever played. If none of you have tried a majesty , your missing out. Awesome video!
Thanks for this Nik
Slavic tutorial Nik is my favorite Nik. This video is awesome man
Its not fair. we're too hyped now. make this a FULL song please i want it in my life.
Aha glad you liked it!
Useful, fun and straight forward. Thanks Nik!
epic. I needed you in my life
the foreshadowing part reminds me of thy art is murder
I want a full song. The combined intro sounded absolutely sick!
Absolutly helpfull! Noises, Samples, Instruments, fade in/frequency cuts i allready use. But with every of your videos you give some new ideas&inspiration and motivation! Thanks a lot! 🤘😎👍
Dude I really like that chord you played at 2:00
One of my favorite simple intros is by As They Sleep on "Oracle of the Dead" - reverse swell into 4 snare smacks, straight into the verse. Genius.
Awesome stuff nik
I like the way you teach, easy for me to soak in
That's was actually quite useful - thank you !
Seriously need to turn this into a full on song! So good 😍
So freaking cool!!
That's some top notch playing!
You are an amazing metal music teacher my brotha🤘
Damn, the combined one really kicked ass!
Great video as always!
This video is really helpful. Will consider using some of these for my intros in the future. Loved that epic intro at the end.
Thank you!
This riff with the fade in/low fi is on point
Best imitation on internet of "reverse hitting a snare" ;-)
Very useful tips and explanations as usual !
So informative but as always I love the humor😂
Damn that is a sick riff!
In music theory the "reverse" is called inversion, which was used by Bach a lot.
It can also be used at a lead break to change things up. you can also use retrograde, or retrograde inversion as well to keep the listener tuned in.
Thank you Nik, very cool!
Loved the video!
Dude your new earnie ball looks dope!
I was waiting for this video
If you here a bird go caca 😂 I’m weak
Im still waiting tabs for the "maka me cry" from metal intros (2018 year)
GerfIN ikrrrrrr
Bruh that was also in my mind just now that intro was sick
Just look at his damn fingers, you are blessed with eyesight
Maybe one day my friends
Wowhoho man I love that reverse intro with the snare sound 💪
Damn that combined version (unlike the other one; how to make good metal chorus etc.) is the first time i clap my hands bcs it is soooooo goooooddddd
5:54 Solway Firth vibes!! \M/
always thought people that said this were lying, but the intro made my Coca Cola come out my nose...
I'd love to be like "yeah I didn't write a chorus for this yet" and then instantly come up with something sick right away. Quality video as always my dude!!
Aha thank you!
The intro to brother by dark new day pieces is also pretty sick sounding, the bad thing by periphery is a pretty simple intro but it sounds pretty effective, even something like the diary of Jane is a really good example of a good intro, tourniquet off of breaking benjamins new album has a really sick intro
The innovative process is often overlooked but it is the most important part... these innovative tools are thank you. Call it intro shit Professor NiK
i love combined style very amazing
Nik, you KILLED it when it all came together. Where's the full song? 🤘
There's also the one where you just start out with your chorus, or an acoustic or piano version of it and put in the beginning before the riff.
Well done
Younger nik has some banger content
Nik is getting higher and higher throughout the video
Omega - Periphery because it’s an overarching album theme and sets you up to be smacked by the main riff!
Nik, your sudden *HCHKA* is perfect intro!
Thank
@@NikNocturnal Dah!
Fuckin awesome Nik! You got me geekin all the while you droppin knowledge! Smash the SHIT out of the reverbbbb 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Your english is getting better everyday!!
"Before they know they're about to get destroyed" This is great Nik :P
"Because they're knowing what is about to happening!" LOL I missed that the first time
Digging the intro music
Fucking great video... Thanks Nik 👍🏻💪🏻
i love these lesson videos
Thanks for idea I think I can make a new song again using that techniques ❤
Killer video. Going to pick up the guitar and crush some riffs.
Hellz yee!
Officially one of my favourite videos in terms of how informative of it. Needs more comrade though.
Thanks Lucas!
@@NikNocturnal you're welcome dude. Long time fan of yours :)
“Hypes them up before they get destroyed”
Thank you Nik
Damn the combined was crazy
I don't even know how to play a guitar, I'm just getting entertained by your videos. :D
Nobody :
Nik in every "how to" video : I'll show you on context 😎
I'm gonna try the bedsheet into!

Cool riff
Complete version please !!
It's really helpful for me . Thanks nik 😊
