This is a very special piece to me and I’m so happy I was able to perform it for the channel. Jason Becker is a very special person and is so cool that Kiesel is helping him with the sale of these guitars (the guitar is absolutely killer. It’s actually my favourite guitar that I own). Good luck with learning this beautiful creation!
just more proof that only people named jason can play beckers stuff. Jason Sheppard, Jason Richardson, Jasonhide, and of course Jason Becker himself! 🤣
👉Harmony tab video: ua-cam.com/video/cH8ALximqYs/v-deo.html 👈 Hey guys. This is 1 of a series of 3 videos dedicated to the legendary Jason Becker. In case you aren’t familiar, Becker was a virtuoso guitarist who began his rise to fame in the late 80’s before being diagnosed with ALS. Even though the illness has prevented him from playing guitar, he has continued to compose and release music to this day. Our man Jason (Sheppard) has decided to do this video to honour Becker and his incredible influence on him as a musician. He discovered Jason Becker after 2 years of playing and stumbled upon the Serrana arpeggios video. It was a life changing moment for him and it inspired him to become a good guitarist. Special thanks to Kiesel for sending out the amazing JB "Numbers" guitar for this video. For more information on Jason, his story, his music and how you can help support him directly with his medical fund, there are links in the description of this video. Enjoy!
It's almost like some kind of sick cosmic joke... the man is one of the most gifted guitarists of the modern era, arguably one of the OG Gods of shred (but far deeper) and it all gets taken away by a very unfortunate disease. Very sad.
Thanks for posting this! My bass playing friend had the tab for this about 30 years ago (guitar for the practising musician). We had the first cacophony record but not Jason Beckers so I learnt a load of it from the tab without hearing the song because I thought it would teach me sweep picking (which it did). Got a bit of a surprise when I eventually got Perpetual Burn and heard Air was played completely clean. I was playing it almost completely wrong with distortion but it really affected me as a player - I still reflexably play this or Dee any time I pick up a classical guitar. I have often thought I’d love to get that tab back and learn the song properly. Now I have no excuse. Becker was a great player and hero for dealing with such a cruel illness.
Holly crap! There are going to be a lot of guitarist out there now trying to play this and yelling “FUUUUUUUCK! over and over again. This piece was insane. Great work as always, you make it look so simple with your clean sweeps. 16 note triplets, no problem haha.
mannnnn!!!!! i can't believe it, you did it! i'am eternally grateful, Jason will always be my favorite guitarist, and this is his master piece, that melody always makes me cry, i really appreciate you , love u man!; cant wait for the other videos.
wow i bow to you sir. Mr becker is one of my influencers as he was one of the best virtuoso guitarist out there. this is a brilliant homage to his musical skill. thanks for a great video as always!!
Love this!! Thank you for yet another awesome song cover and lesson!! Jason is such an inspirational guitarist, composer, and human being!! Can't wait for the other 2 songs!!
All of your videos are impecable and flawless. But this one is special at least to me. So thank you very much And that touch of playing this pice in that amazing Ake Isela Becker artist series is a cherry on top. Wish you the best of success!! Abrazo Mexicano. 🤘🏻🇲🇽🤘🏻🇲🇽🤘🏻🇲🇽🤘🏻
It may not be the insane Becker version but you might see some Paganini on this channel in the future! (Like in 20 years when I can learn it up to speed) haha
More OZZY or Pantera, Jason! Your stuff is the best! BUT this stuff is commendable. I’ve never heard Becker’s stuff so it’s nice to have my first exposure to him with a song that is very hard to learn!
I love that stuff, Carlos. Definitely more Ozzy to come and some Pantera. Dig into the Jason Becker stuff. Some serious beautiful music, in my opinion. Some people write it off as showing off and technical nonsense but I don’t understand where they are coming from. To me it’s like saying a classical violin player is soulless just because he/she is super proficient with the instrument.
Ah, Jason Becker who also went on to play with David Lee Roth on his "A Little Ain't Enough" album, replacing Steve Vai. David Lee Roth who toured with Poison on his "Skyscraper" tour where Steve Vai gave CC DeVille a yellow JEM, which I think might be in Poison's "Your Mama Don't Dance" video, though very briefly. Everything on this channel always comes back to CC DeVille! Looking forward to that eventual Poison cover. CC is jealous of those position inlays as well.
Now that I have those fret markers I might never be able to go back to the dots! I’ll be lost. But it’s like they say, Every rose has its thorn I suppose. This song was a great training exercise. A real stepping stone to get to the ultimate goal… A CC solo.
Hey pat, you should consider doing “Certain kind of fool” by Eagles One of my favorite songs and I’m struggling to learn the solo because there are no videos online I can find

Wow! 👌
I'm blown away that anyone could play one of his pieces, for real. What a tribute. Thanks for sharing it.
That guitar is sweet. It looks like a Playskool toy, but it's definitely not. I just ordered the Yin-Yang.
Incredible performance!

Amazing! Jason is such an inspiration, he never stopped loving and creating music.
never heard of this Jason Becker guy but this is awesome. I looked him up and its unfortunate he got ALS, he is a great guitarist and writer.

That clean sound without the excess pick noise is just incredible! 😮

This is a great coincidence, just a few weeks ago I started listening to Jason and trying to play his stuff even if it's slow and now you upload this
This is my favorite Jason Becker piece. Every time I try to learn it I get so awestruck with wonder I can't finish it. Now I HAVE to learn it!

OH MY GOD HES BACK THE KING RETURNED
I’m back with the tabs. This isn’t me in the video though, it’s Jason (Sheppard) who did an incredible job on the tune.
You can't say that was easy lol 10 out of 10 I never heard that before didn't know what to expect. Awesome
Amazing!!!! Can't thank you enough for this!!!! Jason is my #1!!!!
