Kansas City Milkman. A great memory from the early 80s 😎. I remember Mark saying he was a huge fan of Jack Bruce and there’s definitely that kind of vibe on this song

Love Meeting Love was the first 12" I owned from Level 42 and I loved it then. It still is as brilliant today
When he switches to slap at the end of love meeting love even my wife turned to me and looked at me! Not anywhere near as big as fan as me but she was blown away by it live!

I was a teen in the 80s and ONLY knew their 2 biggest hits until about 5 years ago. Holy cow did I miss out for all those years. What a fantastic catalog of music they have. Their biggest hits aren't even their best songs. Would love to see them live.

Never seen Mark make a pickup change in the middle of a song before. I received confirmation from Andy Diggins at Jaydee Guitars that Mark King had ordered this new new cherry red Jaydee signature bass in early 2020 for the 2021 tour through the present.
Where does that happen?
@jameswhite7997 5:30 mark,....he turns the rotary pickup selector knob setting from the bridge to both pickups and flips the active/passive switch to passive mode........(I own three Jaydees of my own)

It was a lot better stood right in front of it in the flesh. It doesn't come across so well on any of the tour recordings, to be fair.
Mark switched it to both pickups on, instead of just the bridge pickup. It would have sounded better with only the bridge pickup with the mid frequency turned down a bit.
