I was in high school when Guy came out but I followed Teddy and what ever he produced. I would to the record store for hours reading the credits on the back of CD's or 12' Maxi singles just to see who produced the songs. I still have all my CD's and just about own all of Teddy's songs and remixes he produced that was released. Timmy Gatling and Teddy Riley could have been just like Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and L.A. Reid & Babyface (I have all of their music too) as one of the top music producer and writer duos if they stayed together in that era. I think music from 1985-1995 was the highest quality of music especially in the R&B genre. Thanks for making this video.

I went to school and hung out with Damien at Virginia State Univ. We were both freshman . He was in all the band's he played the big ass drum for the marching band. All the ladies were always hanging around him and he's a real dude
Guy was never the same without Timmy Gatling who wrote and helped produced most of the songs on their first album and who also created the group and founded Aaron Hall.They never reached the level or original sound of the first album.Their second album the future sounded mechanical and missed that funk appeal of the first album because Timmy Gatling wasnt there
In response to the guy who never understood why Guy had beef with New edition, I'm not really sure of the real reason either but their feud took a violent turn back in 1990 when they were in Pittsburgh PA when Guy's road manager was killed inside of the Civic Arena which was in Pittsburgh.
