Since the recently re-issued Blu-Rays of "The Professionals" have an option to play all episodes with only the incidental music audible, what we need now is a musicologist to collate and compile every piece of varying soundtrack into the ultimate, complete "Professionals" collection. It would now be possible, at least.
One of the best TV shows ever, along with The Sweeney. So great to see its a staple of ITV4 @4.30 some of the best incidental music ever! Space 1999 also had some great incidental music.
Simply love the series, the topics are amazing, considering the time being. And ofc atmosphere, tension, vibes, everything work. You have done a great job here, thanks
I LOVE this show, no matter that it is 40 yeaers old! Watching it just now. Nevertheless one thing I have spoted and made me sort of mad: ACTORS RECYCLATION. In one episode some actor plays a cop and a very close friend of Bodie and Doyle and 15 episodes later the very same actor plays a rutheless killer. And vice versa: From an assasin in on of the earlie episodes to a head of secret agents and Cowleys coworker... Anyways I love this and give 9 stars from 10. And last but not least: one of the best background music ever!!!
Was hoping this was music only... Am looking for that great bit of guitar music they use in the episode "Hunter Hunted" when the purple Porsche follows Doyle in his white E Type when he's driving the girl home from the pub... Anyone know what that tracks called and whether there's a full upload of said track on here please? Thanks. Also, has anyone uploaded all the INCIDENTAL music from the show but but just as music only?
Although Laurie Johnson finally released a cd version with original tracks either cleaned up or redone to the highest original-sounding quality, which I flew out and bought asap of course, sadly there were some classic tracks still missing, especially the old-car-chase scene-music for example when Bodie is being chased by Ed Bishop from UFO, playing an FBI man at 4:30 (anyone no where I can get this track from?) as that classic track is not on the album, neither is the one where I think on season 2 a woman they are following opens fire and they shoot her and just before the main-titles-theme kicks in, there's a tune in the background, which is also missing from the cd, otherwise a quality release and well worth the buy....

I leave a question. Does anyone know the theme they played when the action scenes started? In many scenes they always used the same music. It was almost a fragment, they would turn on a radio and it would start to sound like they were just playing that. I will appreciate any clue. Thank you in advance!

Unfortunately this video and a couple others were lost a couple years ago when I was transferring them to another computer. You could get tracks 1, 2, 3, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 from "The Music Of Laurie Johnson Vol. 2 - The Professionals".
