- Ooooh! It's getting close now! So here is my 2023 version of the Angel, and I think I've done it! There is no 80's hairdos or weird dresses. just pure angelic art. #polymerclay #angel #polymerclayartist #christmas
Video Features
-Creating the body shape, arms, head, hair, face... you get the picture ;)

-The sparkly red heart, bows and tiny, tiny flowers

Tools:
-Tile to bake on, tissue blade, craft knife, dotting tools, toothpicks
-Gold, the dreaded white, red and flesh colour polymer clay
-Cheap blush, shimmery white, gold mica
-Lots of lovely glitter

Baking Polymer Clay:
UK instructions for baking- it's all in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.
Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!
Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a finger nail in it or a finger print, back in the oven it goes!
Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.

Aww thanks so much Alison! Yeah, I love finding easy ways of just covering something in mica or glitter 🤣 I'm normally a 'highlighter' when it comes to glitter, but not a heart- that's full on! Haha
This was exactly what I needed tonight. We had to put our 15 year old dog to sleep today and I needed a break from the heartache. I immediately thought of you because your videos always make me smile. The angel is adorable. The wings were amazing, the hair was gorgeous, the dress was so pretty, and the glitter heart was the perfect pop of color. You are so talented! Oh, Kristina, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels, I've lost 2 dogs & it is so sad. It's very nice of you to say that. I've never considered that I could brighten someone's evening, so that is lovely. As for the angel, I actually don't hate this one! Haha. I think Bailey will make an appearance soon. She's just learnt to run and jump on my lap, sometimes without invitation, so I practically have to catch her! Take care of yourself at this time. It's so important to remember all of the good times with your dog ❤️
