Hi Tim. I have only been following a few weeks now and wanted to say thanks for these tutorials. The siding part that you are eyeing is actually a Fishermans Knot. This one is done what we call a single. If you ,ale an additional loop around then it is a Double Fishermans Knot. You can also do a Triple. You can always tell when it is tied correctly by the X the the loops will form. When you tie them in to the loop that you have done then this loop, when cinched down is called a Prusik Loop. Another great loop used for climbing and rescue work. I tried to leave this in the comments below where everyone was asking what it is called but it wouldn't let me. Thanks again and keep them coming.
The Weavers of Eternity Paracord Tutorials only thing I would throw caution to anyone who uses this, and the way your using it it may never be a problem, but if the two knots are drawn together and loaded, then they could have to be cut loose. These are intended to be PERMANENT. As in FOREVER lol. However if they are drawn together it would make the loop bigger not smaller so it probably would never be an issue. Just keep it in the back of your mind that there is always a chance. On the cool side know that these knots are damn near 100% load rated. They don't degrade the working load of the loop. Good job on the videos. Keep them coming .
Just wanted to thank you so much for sharing these video tutorials, they've been a great help and are always great to go back and re-watch whenever I need to brush up in a particular knot. 😁👍
It took me a couple of tries to get the knot itself down, but it looks great. By some miracle I got it centered and tied the sliding knots perfectly on the first try. I haven't taken it off since I made it.
I got the eternity knot on the first go but then another 30 minutes on ONE of the two sliding knots and then another 20 on the second! It owuld be helpful to hear some advice on how to position the two knots in relation to the eternity knot and on how to size everything so , when closed, the two knots don't come out right next to the big knot and assymetrical to each other.
If they're not symmetrical to each other, you can adjust them once you get everything finished (Minus cutting the ends!!) First, you have to figure out which knot you need to adjust to where you can still get it over your hand for it to fit. Then you take that knot, and cinch it up more to where the slack is out. So, where you find your slack, follow that to the knot, and use that slack to follow through the knot, getting the slack out. (Sorry if this is confusing, it'd be much easier to show on video.)
Your explanations are always clear and succinct. Went over to Bored Paracord's tutorial for this bracelet and he had a good tip for the "twist" part which may help people having trouble. Thanks again for the great tutorials!!
Great tutorial, I was just wondering, what is the specific colour of the cord you use in all your videos? It's lovely and muted. Cheers from down under.
i just started making paracord bracelets about 2 weeks ago and am loving it.. just can't get 550 or any kind of good paracord here in Lagos.. thanks for your tutorials they have been very helpful
Hi.. no its quite difficult to get from amazon due to restrictions and exchange rates.. but I have started a small youth empowerment programme (teaching teens how to make these bracelets) to keep em off the streets, we are hoping our local gov steps in to help us out with acquiring materials. Your videso are changing lives here, thank you.
Vanessa Adriaansz Sweet! Yeah, using a thicker cord or rope does help the eternity knot to be more visible. Hope you made another one! :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Good thing i checked this out. I have a yellow slimmer cord than that. I can make a single strand and a knot just like my name, trinityknott. Thanks BiiiG!
ur directions is really cool n simple. I made my first one perfectly. but the paracord I purchased is really hard, it doesn't look as soft n nice like urs. which brand of string u r using...please help me with this.. loads of thanks from India :)
Joe Maddux Great tip! I think I looped it twice because I liked the way it looked that way, but of course looping it once would be just fine too. Thanks for commenting and sharing! :)
Are you actually working in "live" mode on your dslr, and looking in your small rear screen? Clever chappie. Often wondered how you did it. Cheers, Mal
Is it possible to smoothly make this bracelet with two colors? What I mean by smoothly is have both colors symmetrically in the knot and have the joined portion of the strands be hidden from view.
hay, firstly nice vid as always. What kind of paracord to you use?im in the UK and using 550 paracord (7 strand) and it does not seem as think as yours?is this what you use?
Thanks! I use 550 as well, but sometimes different manufacturers produce 550 that's not exactly the same. The one I'm using might not be military spec paracord too. That might be why your paracord is different from mine. Hope that helps!
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, I only speak Spanish and it is difficult to translate, could you tell me which is the measure for this bracelet?
+WhiteyGraphics Use a longer piece of cord and just cut off the excess so that it's centered. That would be the lazy way out instead of re-doing it over and over.
Great video. Your tutorials are some of the best. I was wondering. Your cord in most of your vids look super soft. Mine is from reputable sellers but a little stlff and can be hard to do loops with. Do you prewash your cord prior to use. Or do something to it to soften it? Thanks and I look forward to more videos.
hey bro, saludos all the way from Nicaragua in central America, im trying to learn through your tutorias, they are neat :), i dunno a translation to paracord nor could i find one in google... T.T, so im gonna try by brand, what brand of paracord do you use?
Fernando Hernandez Hey Fernando, the paracord I use is 550 paracord from RW Rope Company, but sometimes I also use Atwood Rope paracord. Most of the made in USA paracord is the best.
John Forsthoffer yup so i went to the atwood and they have diferent sizes, just waiting on TWER reply to start looking for someone or a way to bring some to Nicaragua to practice and make numbers just to see if i can actually do it here :) thnx for the info though:)
Thankyou for the tutorial. It works great, however I have a question. I did the sliding knot closure but its incredibly tight to slide - is that because of the quality of the paracord Ive used (it was pretty cheap). Cheers, really like your channel. :)
Ciedric2 You kinda just have to play with it and tie it a few times so that it ends up in the middle, or you can just use a really long piece of cord and cut the ends so that they're even.

Tim - I do love this video, very easy to follow along. However, I do worry about your fingers; they look "weathered". Please take care of them. Namaste.
+Michael Hoshall Thanks Michael! At the time of making this video I was working heavily with my hands as I was running and operating a painting business. I'm no longer doing that, so my hands are much better now. They still show wear from all the manual work I've done, but they're much better now. :)

Very cool. Thank you. Made it for my wife. Very minimal, very easy. Like the slip knot, as it seems to be very similar to a prayer bead.
Cool! I'm sure she'll really like it. Glad the tutorial helped you. Thanks for watching and commenting Matt!

Just made one with a slighter and thinner rope. The Eternity Knot is not really appeared, but yeah... looking forward to make another one, thank you!
Vanessa Adriaansz Sweet! Yeah, using a thicker cord or rope does help the eternity knot to be more visible. Hope you made another one! :) Thanks for watching and commenting!

loads of thanks
from India :)
+Priyabrata Rout I'm using polyester 550 paracord. Brand is Rothco and RW Rope
So beautiful,, thank you.
It's much easier to tighten/loosen if you only loop it around once, then put it through. Then to adjust, simply pull the loose ends
Joe Maddux Great tip! I think I looped it twice because I liked the way it looked that way, but of course looping it once would be just fine too. Thanks for commenting and sharing! :)
Looks great!
Thanks!
I think that sliding knot configuration is called a double fisherman's knot. Anyway it is one of my favorite knots to make. Thanks for the cool vid
Ah I see, thanks for the info and thanks for commenting and watching!
You are a genius
Wow, thanks for the compliment! But I wouldn't go that far. ;)

you guys are soooo great :) thanks!!

Is it possible to smoothly make this bracelet with two colors? What I mean by smoothly is have both colors symmetrically in the knot and have the joined portion of the strands be hidden from view.
Hmmm... that sounds quite difficult. If I can think of anything, I'll be sure to share it.

Cheers dude. Thanks for the reply, i might check different suppliers!
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, I only speak Spanish and it is difficult to translate, could you tell me which is the measure for this bracelet?
Marianela Guevara No problem, you'll need about 50 cm of paracord to make this bracelet. I hope that helps!
First try, nice tutorial!
Awesome, good job! Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
thanks, your video is so good!
Miguel Maciel You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
thnaks to you!!!
GRACIAS EXCELENTE EXPLICACION MUCHAS MUCHAS GRACIAS
Will be making that one :)
Awesome, have fun!
are there different sizes of paracord and if so, what is the best size?
+tracy s There are a few different sizes. In my videos I use 550 paracord unless otherwise stated.
Any tips on how to keep the eternity knot centered between the sliding knots, mine keep coming out more to one side.
A company named Gladding makes a stiffer cord--hard for me to use in knotting. Most places selling 550 don't give you the manufacturer.
Coool love it!
Where do you buy para cord?
Thank you so much!
Great Video! It helped me out a lot :D
Great! Glad it helped you out, thanks for watching and commenting Anna! :)
I like that simple cool
Thanks! I like it's simplicity too!
thanks for the tutorial:D i use this technic but i replace the eternity with the clover knot and it looks great.

Pragati Awasthi Hello Pragati! You're very welcome, I'm glad this tutorial helped you out. I hope your friends enjoyed them! :)
I love you, Awesome I LIKE IT
Where do you get your paracord
Wonderful to make one for your love
Thankyou for the tutorial. It works great, however I have a question. I did the sliding knot closure but its incredibly tight to slide - is that because of the quality of the paracord Ive used (it was pretty cheap). Cheers, really like your channel. :)
Thanks for the comment! As for your sliding knot, you may have tied the knot too tightly. If not then it may be your cord.
How do you get the knot in the middle of the bracelet? With my tries it's alway a little out of the middle.
Ciedric2 You kinda just have to play with it and tie it a few times so that it ends up in the middle, or you can just use a really long piece of cord and cut the ends so that they're even.
Do you know how to tie the Arms-Akimbo knot? is similar to this one...
+HyO Startup I'll check it out!

question: how close to the end should I start with the eternity knot?
+Joseph Blankenship Hard to say, you'll have to play around with it. I'd say it's really more close to the middle if that makes any sense.
Nice indeed.
Thanks 👍
Hi, what is the diameter of paracord?
I love this... #Indonesia
Hendy Alfeus Glad you love it! :)
thank
Will the last 2 knots you made come loose ever
Nope, as long as you tie them tightly, they will not come loose.
I believe the nots for the sliding knot is a clove hitch. I am a scout
Toxic Shadow it’s a double fisherman knot we use it in fire / rescue. It will retain the ropes strength and integrity. You can use it for a tie off if needed.
My first try turned out nicely :) But it looks weird cause I used a shoelace... The Netherlands don't have paracord anywhere nearby :(
Ahh ok, well I'm glad you at least tried it out! Have you tried ordering paracord online? I'm sure there are some sellers out there that will ship to the Netherlands.
Yeah, there are ;) Looking for some nice beads and stuff aswel :) Talking about nice beads for knives and knives... When does the challenge end? :p
I DID IT...it took 20 minutes but I DID IT! btw,thnx
Sam S Nice! Glad you didn't give up, you're welcome!

+Bob John Hmm.. that's odd. Make sure there are not twists or anything in your paracord. That might be messing up your knot.
