Same spleef map but with a new rule (and item). First player off the map (legitimately) gets to operate the sniper/gatling turret against the other players.🤪
The way you guys can take simple concepts like spleef and add interesting and meaningful complexity to it all while having fun together and just enjoying the game always surprises and entertains me! Keep it up guys! I’ll be here watching.
I think too much was cut out in editing of this one. I would have happily watched an hour of this. I'll take another opportunity here to suggest the multi-layer spleef arena... maybe with glass floors for visibility... and you could even combine this idea with the maze concept from last week... which, btw, is still in the description for this week's video... with the maze walls made indestructible.
Honestly I'd be happy to watch much longer videos, as this is a creative channel. Especially the multiplayer Mondays and game physics experiments. An hour would be pretty perfect for me, personally.
The multilayer spleef would lag the game considerably, as scrap mechanic sucks at computing face collisions of large flat surfaces. There are ways to negate this but they are very complicated.

Idea for spleef: Do a pretty normal map (sqaure and flat) and add activated thrusters randomly below. I guess about 20~30 should be good. Some might face up, and some left/right/forward/backward to enable traos to be set up. Also maybe bearings and Pistons could be implemented into this map.
If I'm understanding your suggestion correctly, the spud gun fire rate may be too slow to break each block underneath? I suppose you could potentially fix it with a Gatling gun, but I'm not sure how you'd make that flat enough to fit under a vehicle without making it very top-heavy.

Yeah, the *two* lines across the middle connecting the main platform's transfers, letting Kan et al do the infinite loop were a mistake. I get that they're there to make it so you can't just delete the entire main platform at once, but they're just too easy. The transfers should have been offset, so you'd have to turn a little to do an infinite loop, so that at least there'll be some natural variance that'll likely take them out after like 5 passes, instead of the "yeah I found the correct angle, I can walk away from my keyboard now and nobody can drop this platform" it currently is.
Try making a map together but you arent allowed to comunicate so for example you make a map where you can go up-side-down and kan makes one with exposives then you weld them together and kosmo makes a car that maybe doesnt even fit onsome parts of the map. that wold be so chaotic and great
I think a simple addition of spudguns at each corner of the map, that fire ever 5 or more seconds would be a fun addition. Adds a hard time limmit as the map gets closer and closer to getting cut out completely
That's honestly a good thought for future maps. Just alter the timing depending on the size. It probably wouldn't be too difficult to scale it, every x amt of blocks = 1 second or whatever.
Here's a spleef idea. A two sided map like this, but all the cars have an extra set of thrusters pointing "down". Place a button on the underside of the car, set to swap the active thrusters for 1.5 seconds. That way if you cross each other on opposite sides, there's a chance you or your opponent get "lifted" off the map for a moment.
If you guys have this kind of spleef how about make a spleef but its spinning and you guys are a bit faster but no thrust for down force and make obsticles that will be fun you guys did make one
This is the coolest of all the scrap mechanic spleef I’ve seen. Amazing concept and great execution. The ramps to the underside are satisfying and the huge pieces falling upward are amazing visuals. And then the ramps add even more elevation fun. Seems like the map size was a good decision too. Overall, love it.
Should make a map with special ability pick ups..... For example using sensors and timers, make areas that open up that if you drive through them, a color sensor detects a specific color and activate two extra rows of spud guns for so many seconds, or gives you a booster for a limited amout of time after you use it.
I am sure other people in addition to me suggested multilevel spleef....and this is everything I could have hoped for, very cool map and fun gameplay. It also sounds like you all had a blast playing this map too.
Idea: make certain areas multiple (and different amounts of) layers thick, so it’s less obvious when you’re going to cut out a piece. I also think each round can take longer this way.
You should do one where you can slide your spud gun back and forth behind your vehicle. Or bind it to turns? Turn left and the spud gun moves the the right? And then do it all upside down

Hi scrapman! i bet you guys are going to do this again. and ive got an amazing idea! my idea basicly combines your sideways trap map and the upside down. this will make for a wide cilinder type of map, making it so that if you hit a trap you will still survive and can keep going from the inside. i hope you like the idea and i cant wait to see the next video 😊

I had an idea that might be fun, maybe get one more person and do a 2v2 team death match on your vertical spleef map. And maybe to add some spice have each team place random hidden thrusters on the map that causes chunks to fly off when cut
So you could do the upside down spleff thing again, but 2 vs 1. Like a sharks, 2 spleff players are on the under side looking to cut and make the the solo player fall. Solo player could have no vehicle or a specific one if you need to limit them.
don't take out the entire braces, but leave 1 wood every 10 spaces or so. that way, there's strategy to aim for that spot, or predict when someone else is going to aim for that spot
would be so cool if you guys could figure a way to do something like 1 - A competition that can span a few weeks 2 - Each week the winners of your multiplayer content (to be determined how to divvy out the prize of) gets to pick and add something to a Collective Challenge course/or some kind of event. 3 - after several weeks of all of you making your own courses, and the winners getting to pick/add something to a MAJOR event course, you could all do the challenge together?!? IE: 3 weeks of challenges, just using your normal content videos to determine who the winners will be, and each week many of you can win, or 1 person could win many times in your collective content. The winner gets to pick an idea, or be in charge of a certain part of the "Collective Challenge Course" be it adding obstacles or just simply building part of the arena or even 1 person wins the right to build the entire vehicle used in the challenge!! and there would be 3 or more of your guys vids each time, so 3 winners or more each competition you hold!! And cool thing is, you could even let the people who are not always with you, Moonbo and Kosmo and the others join in for the weeks they are with you!! This could go on for a few weeks to a couple months, and you guys could share your progress on the course or keep it a complete secret from your viewers. Someone could win the right to pick the challenge, or you all can decide together what it can be, that doesnt matter as much as the "Share in Building 1 course but only when you win a challenge!!" Also, it doesnt HAVE to be in Scrap Mechanic, rather any of the games you all enjoy!! (The more complex and large you can make it the better it may be, or short and sweet - who knows!!)
i think a nice arena would be one that has no too big sections. all sections being somewhat randomly sized between 2x and 4x the car size and all indestructable pieces be a max of half a car.

Make a normal arena but the cars have one block wide tires and shoot 2 wide gaps so you can get stuck with your wheel. maybe evenwith these really big metal wheels (Idont know if theyre from a mod or not)

What about spleef planet: a giant hallow sphere of cardboard with a modded black hole in the centre to pull in debris. Maybe throw in a 0g mod too. cars might need suspension for the bumps.
What if you did a test to see if either suspension or power couplers could withstand getting pulled better? You could use pistons retracting to pull them

i havnt really heard anything about it but you should try out Lightyear Frontier (its multiplayer too)
