A few ideas for Spleef. 1) random cars. Use the same cars you used here, except they are all painted the same and sit on a rotating platform so you don't know which car is which when you drop down. One car will be faster, one will turn better, only one will be able to rotate the spud gun arm and one car has a combination of two of those options. You won't know which car you have until you get in it and start using it (and no swapping cars allowed of course). 2) shadow map. The arena will be painted in random shapes in shades of grey and black. Mounted above the arena will be random shapes intended to cast shadows onto the arena. The challenge will be working out if it's a shadow, a different shade of paint, or a huge hole you are about to fall in... 3) random supports. A large map with zero visible supports. Under the map however, will be single block wide support poles placed randomly about the map. You will cut your lines, set your traps and pick your paths never knowing if that single block is all the remains or if there is a support underneath to save you. 4) random arm control Same vehicles as used here, except the two buttons are replaced by four colour sensors located next to each wheel. Two colours rotate clockwise, the other counterclockwise. The map is painted a neutral colour with the four target colours splashed about randomly. You might be able to work out how to control the arm by driving over the right colours, but good luck doing that whilst avoiding holes. 5) spleef tanks with NOS. 6 or 8 wheeled vehicles that are slow. Tank steering that only stops the one side from driving (wheels only rotate forward) The second wheel bearing normally used for reverse, will instead be used for NOS powered turbo mode. A hidden timer logic will give a short speed boost when the button is pressed, then locked out for a longer period of time. The spud guns will be offset behind the tank. Use the NOS boost to get ahead of your enemy or to escape their trap. 6) offset steering. The vehicle has four wheel steering, however the front wheels only turn to the left. The rear wheels will turn to the right. So you will turn like a car when going left, but turn like a forklift when turning right. 7) anti-collision tank steering. Distance sensors aimed sideways located at the front and back will detect vehicles located next to you and activate tank steering to avoid any collisions. You will have normal pivot steering to drive with. Can you drive close enough to trigger yours and their tank steering and force them to turn into a hole? 8) all of the above. Ok, I was out of ideas and 7 ideas felt like an odd number, this 8th "idea" makes the universe happy. Good luck.
Oh, I thought of a real 8th idea. 8) wide cuts. Use your normal spud gun cutters, only make it three wide (so 3x3 spud guns) so you leave cuts that will drop wheels in them instantly, no driving over cuts at all (unless you are super talented and lucky).
I wanna see one in a cylinder with thrusters holding you to it, so cars can go up and down and even upside down. Falling bits from the top of the cylinder could become obstacles falling on people below.
#suggestion: Perfect Dark Spleef. Each car has headlights, but the arena is blacked out otherwise. No unbreakable spots, and the headlights only illuminate a few blocks in front of you.
I believe you’re shortsighted. And would be awesome. If they *could* find a way to do it properly, or at least something akin to it, it would be cool. Though I *do* disagree with the no unbreakable blocks.

Suggestion: Spleef, but instead of the cars turning left or right, the cars strafe left or right. Therefore, the cars cannot turn, only move left, right, forward or back, leaving only straight trails with 90 degree bends.
you could do one of these where one person builds the cars, one person builds half the arena and the other person builds the other half, but you dont communicate and you just stick it all together afterwards and see what youve made
I didn't play this game since the first time it appeared on Steam (A very long time ago). Do you know if there is a "random" logic block? For example, can you make a car that would go at random speeds after random time?
@@Alfred-Neuman There's no random logic block. But It's definitely possible to do that using a thruster and free spinning wheels. Just gotta put a color sensor on some oddly spinning things and connect the sensor to the thruster, it'll be unpredictable enough. I'm sure there's a better way, but that's a way.
Idea: Spleef but it is split into 9 sections, each with a unique colour. Every 30 ish or 60 ish seconds a platform will drop. You will see which one will drop based off of a coloured light indication. The players on the platform that dropped will have a much smaller arena to work with that they have to survive on until the next platform is dropped, when that happens, they would be returned up. This may make for a very large spleef map, in that case you could lower the amount of sections.
Here Is a suggestion surprise spleef where there will be two people on one side of the platform and two people on the other side they can't change sides during the match.
Add in a chest where you respawn when you die that has a spudling gun in it. So you have to decide how early you want to die in order to snipe somebody else...

5:50 the one block that was holding that section was the one block scrapman missed when “fixing” kan’s mistake lol, if he had shot it, kan would have been out.
For the next spleef, how about making each car with a different nerf. Like drives slower, shoots slower, turns wider, or anything else you can think of. And you can't use the same car for more than one round. The number of cars could determine the number of rounds, or you could make them look identical if you can somehow randomize their placement so you never know which one you get until you're using it.
So you have to make Kosmo's car normal, then you make both yours and kan's cars worse, but add logic so if you press a combination of the controls, the car you're driving returns to normal. As for how it would be worse... have kan start on the right of the arena so he takes the right edge, and have a block randomly and briefly push down into the ground to make it jerk right and off the map like a bad grocery cart.
It would be interesting if you did this same concept, but the turret spins 360 (you’d have no control over it), meaning if you are to stay still, you’d just cut yourself a hole and fall through (and you would have full driving control)
I have an idea for another spleef every couple seconds your car hops sorta like your flipping house you made or every couple seconds part of the map will go down with pistons then comes back up
Suggestion for a variant of this: the spud gun arm rotates ccw whenever you are turning left, cw whenever you are turning right and stays wherever it's at when going straight
I think it would be really cool if your spleef cars had five spud guns side by side and instead of making a continuous line, they make one wide speckled line.

I had just found what I think was your very first Spleef video from 4-5 years ago (I've been subscribed and following for 2-3 years) and after hearing your original explanation of the game, I had the thought that something like this would be interesting... and a few hours later, this gets uploaded.
Another interesting idea (which I think was what I originally proposed in my comment on the older video) would be having the arms just rotate in a single direction at a constant rate. Also, why don't any of you use the doubled wheels that kAN (and sometimes others) used a few times in the early videos to avoid getting stuck in a single-width gap?
Also, it would be very interesting to have the rear fixed spud gun also the standard triple gun, instead of the single gun it appears to be. These rounds seem to last a lot longer than I was expecting.
Should make a spleef map where the cars are too fast for the firing rate with omnidirectional steering, with one spud gun on every side. Could be rather chaotic. Map itself, either standard, or with platforms on pistons that move horizontally that are sections of the map. A shifting map of sorts. Large map scale

Multi level spleet with the adjustable arm and it fires up and down....so if you are on a lower level it will also take out the above area too? Or, an intermittant 45 degree from the top of the cars out to the side ...so they go all over. very fun :)

This reminds me of the idea I had last week. I can't remember which of these videos I commented on but my idea was have a spud gun on each side of the car shooting the ground as you drive around. Like make them fixed and are always making holes on both sides of your vehicle but never in front or behind you.
Sugestion: Make a super spleef with all the features of earlier spleef maps, from the two sided map to the explosive blocks and rotatable spudgun arms.
i have a idea for spleef, you set up a timer and also have the arena split into 4 areas and after a few min one piece of the arena flips, and if u happen to be on it well u are now upside down

Idk if it's possible but doing one where your on opposite sides and all you can see is the spuds coming through the other side. Essentially your invisible to each other but the spuds being shot through can be seen. Could also have this kind of vehicle that allows changing the spot your shooting.

Spleef idea: Only have the speckling guns. Do this in a smaller arena. The map will slowly deteriorate.
An idea: The same car, but you can't control the arm. It just goes around in a circle constantly.
spleef idea: spleef inside a cube, but the guns point out the top of the vehicle so you'll always be cutting the side opposite of you.
IDEA-- a freewheeling drum spleef area. Large with a rotational challenge.

Next time you could bring the speckle to the next level. Make a car with differently angled spudguns and make then shoot with a weird pattern

Use multiple (and varying) amounts of cardboard layers, so it’s even less obvious when a piece gets cut out. Very curious if this idea wil work!
