Literally just finished my sub box/console build for a 6.0. Yours already seems to be looking much better than mine lol I did choose to keep the switches and trailer brake available so it’s lower
I have built two console boxes one that was ported and went all the way over the back seat of my crew cab and had an armrest for the backseat as well with two 10w3v3 subs and a 500/1. That thing was crazy it would vibrate people 20ft away in the parking lot with my windows down. Then my wife said we needed the whole backseat to haul kids around. That brought along the second center console box. It was made all one inch MDF and was ported to spec with a 10w6v2 pushed with a 500/1 and that thing was insane. I used the factory console mounting system to bolt the box in there had it covered to match the interior with a cut out in front where I used the factory cup holders. The SQ was outstanding and it hit so hard it would run some people out of the truck or they would beg me to turn it down. I am about to build another center console box with a 10W6v2 and 500/1 in my 2012 Silverado extended cab. Will have a Pioneer head unit JL C2 650 components for the front doors and the tweeter on the column then two C2 650 coaxials in the rear doors those pushed with a 300/4. Then it will have a set of Q-Form Kick panels with Boston Acoustics Pro 60's pushed with a 300/2. It will have two of the matching Gell batteries under the hood hooked together to handle the extra draw. The box with one 106v2 got a complaint once at work the guy came over and asked if I could turn it down I was about 120ft away inside a warehouse but he said it was vibrating the pictures on the wall in his office. I know that's nothing though I have heard systems in like Tahoes that would make you think the restaurant you were in might collapse it hit so hard-driving by.
Yeah that would definitley be possible and clean. I don’t want it in the console though as I never pull anything with the truck especially something heavy enough to need trailer brakes... definitley would though if it wasn’t a show truck build.
I've been doing car audio for well over 30 years. And I like seeing how others come with ways to get the job done. But, damn ya'll make it so hard and difficult. LOL It doesn't have to be so hard to do guys. LOL
Oh brother tell me about it. This thing was miserable and way overthought and underthunk at the same time. I have no clue what I’m doing when it comes to wood working and audio so combining both was a bad idea. But to be honest it’s turned out better than I thought it would. I’ll have to make a updated video so you can see it finished
I need one of those for my truck but my truck is an 03 and it didn’t come with a center console it had a center seat. Also mine would be for 2 12s and at least 4 cubic feet of air space in it
@@JUSTINHAWKSMITH oh the jump seat has been out and there is a prefab box just sitting there until I get the chance to build one or get a good quote to have one build for me
I could only imagine LOL. I butchered this project but for a first time build never building anything out of wood , literally anything …. It turned out good and sounds amazing and is solid as a damn storm shelter LOL!!!! Thanks for watching my horrible attempt anyway!! Hahah.

I would fill the dash and relocate the trailer brake controls to the console for a more "factory" look.

I hope this build series will be uploaded daily lol
Does anyone know if it would be okay to wrap it In leather instead of carpet

There is plenty of room for that! Should definitley take that jump seat out and build you one man.

“Fitment”😂😂😂😂
how did you remove the armrests from the seats?
Pulled leather off , star bit bolt removes it , then cut the knub sticking out off with a angle grinder
As a long time woodworker.... this was painful to watch 🤦🏻♂️
