Here is the link to the pen display I got: bit.ly/3yZwODW. If you have any questions for me about this drawing tablet, leave them here and I'll do my best to answer them! Cheers y'all 👊🏽
I must be the only artist on the planet who doesn't care if it feels like paper when I draw on a tablet or how it sounds. I tend to adapt to what I'm using. Learn its strengths and weaknesses and adjusting accordingly. As I like to put it "You can create great art with nothing more than a beach of sand and stick."
Good for you! That’s a good attitude to have. For me I find having a little “tooth” to the screen -just a little bit of resistance-gives me more control. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
To me I don't care if it feels exactly like paper but I need friction for feedback and control. Honestly I want one even more scratchy than paper, but that'd wear out nibs too quickly to be realistically feasible. Can't stand pens on slippery surfaces.
@@NiSE_Rafter great observations! I think one thing I like about this tablet was that it had paper like surface but also a felt like tip on the pen so they were attacking the problem from both angles (the surface AND the pen) and that’s probably why they achieved such a great drawing feel. But I agree I hate drawing on slippery glass! Thanks for the comment! Hope you are well! Cheers 👊🏽
Last year I received the XP Pen artist pro 14 2nd gen as my birthday gift , it is my first drawing tablet display device, for sure I needed a lot of time to practice on, however this year I have upgraded my 2014 iPad Air 2 to the 2024 M2 iPad Air 11 inch, I felt drawing on the iPad, or a mobile device in general, is way more comfortable than the drawing tablet, especially because of the touch screen features. That is my own opinion
This! So rare to see any comparison or important tests in other reviews. Almost everyone else will just do a quick diagonal test, maybe pressure and skip right into sped up drawing demo at a distance or even switch to screen recording. Proper reviews like this one are a treasure!
To be honest, I don't think influencers should be reviewing or endorsing products they've received for free, or for payment-in-kind. No matter your good intentions, you will be influenced by the freebies, and the lure of getting more freebies. You can't make a completely impartial, honest review if you didn't pay for the product like a regular consumer.
No really, it is still possible to review products either given or lent to review. Honest and non-bias reviews still exist, and there's a lot of them, like this one.
Kinda agree. This just feels like an advertisement. Hell, it IS just an advertisement. There is a sponsor warning at the start, which means they literally paid for and approved the video. I'm not saying it's a bad product, but people need to realize this is an advertisement, and look for actual reviews of people who bought it. Hell, if i got a $1100 drawing tablet for free, i'd be hard pressed to find something wrong with it, since i got it for free. Great price/quality comparison that way. If i had to pay for a $1100 drawing tablet, i'd be a lot more invested and critical, since my money'd be on the line.
as for someone who also use ipad pro for daily art, this review helps me so much! im not the type to use left-hand device for shortcut so i really happy that some of huion feature is same as ipad (undo)..the only reason why im still not purchase this is bc i watched review where it said eventho its 4K, the display kinda blurry bc of the type of screen (anti glare) they using..just hoping it wont bother me that much since im too used with ipad
No touch screen on Mac is an issue for me. As my main job being an illustrator on the go I’ve traded my Microsoft/ Wacom setup for Mac. Being able to quickly and easily meet client requests is my priority.
I always wanted a screen display bc it looks really satisfying and there are some pretty good cheaper options, however i knew that in the end an ipad with procreate would win (as an option) and when i told my family i wanted a better tool for digital art and i told them the options, barely mentioning an ipad so it's not a focus in the end for my birthday i got an ipad pro! It has been the best excperience, i hate ios but damn these tablets are crazy and procreate too. I used phones and cheap tablets before but it's truly a game changer. I hate glazing a brand buuuuut ipad+procreate would always be my choice and it's great for those artits who drew only traditional before and i just wish it was more avalaible to all artists . Great video as always! I only hear wacom being the best of the best but hearing huion, xp pen and even Samsung coming for the best of the best tablet/pen display/general tool for digital art is amazing. More options for artists! C:
The weird part is, in polish Huion sounds very similar to a bad word we have, sounds like it would a variety of this word, so reading it is very vulgar for us.
this is what distinguishes the Czech language from Polish. I would not read Huion as CHuion. We just read it differently. We don't have that word in Czech, but I know what it means.
Thanx for the honest review. I have a Wacom Cintiq 16 pro and ipad m4.. I hate the Wacom pen everything else I can deal with even the fact that with touch on it opens random windows so I have to keep it off. So I am looking for something better. Honestly I don’t think anything is going to come close to the ipad and the Apple Pencil.. I just wish I could combine the Wacom and use Rebelle with the Apple Pencil🤣
comparing specific software made for specific tablet is diabolical to compare a simple screen tablet with pc software. aside from the cable ports is on the right side instead on the left which made positioning kinda awkward. other opinion is just buttering the apple. i mean user experience on both software and device is very different. anyway, glad to see the hardware surface has that marker on paper feel, definitely divine feeling to have :D
I have the huion 24 plus. Older and not as high tech as the new pro 19. I also still have my ipad to draw on and honestly they both have their pros and cons!
Very true! I like having them both! It’s a luxury I know! But both serve different needs! But if I had to pick one for a dessert island it would be my iPad. 👍🏽
I have thought about getting a pen display many times, simply because they look great.. but in the end, i feel very little could ever replace my iPad Pro.. it is simple and easy to grab and go with the pen connected at the top and the Logitech combo touch case/keyboard, it is basically grab and go..it is my TV, gaming console (COD), drawing pad, video editor/creator, animator.. and the response rate is amazing.. Procreate, Affinity designer, LumaFusion and adobe fresco.. what else do we (meaning I) need lol.. as much as having a pen tablet sitting on my desk would be fun in its own way, I feel it would be more just tied down to one spot, i like more portability.. the feeling of being able to lay on the bed or couch with the iPad at my side, then seconds later being able to simply grab it and go to the patio, kitchen table or head out the door to Starbucks with no packing it all up and rolling wires is GREAT… BUT I ALWAYS love your videos and look forward to more
💯 I get drawn into the “romance” and idea of drawing on a big screen because you see the “pros” drawing like that but the truth is when the rubber meets the road the iPad is just so much more simpler and convenient! Maybe a dream setup would be a 22” iPad + Procreate!
@@danrazARTthe storage issue has been frustrating for me and when I bought my pro back in 2019 at the base storage I didn’t think about procreate doesn’t use cloud storage 🙃. Though I imagine if they set something up like adobe creative cloud we’d move to a subscription model.

💯 you’ve hit the nail on the head with this comment!
Hi Rishi witch ergotron arm did you used for your xp pen artist 24 pro?
Can you flip the screen upside down and change settings for everything to be upside down, so the cables would be on the left?
Great suggestion! I’ll have to look into that! I’d have to be able to flip the stand too. Hmmm interesting consideration 🤔
my guess for why procreate makes that kind of a difference is that it may be doing path prediction and render a few frames in advance.
I found these L adapters for the wires that sends it back. Works perfect with it no issues at all. Hides the wires

Partial face reveal???? lol still mustering up the courage to do a full face reveal’
you can turn off touch drawing on like every software
That does stop accidental lines/dots but still there are occasional gesture calls or menu clicks without proper palm rejection.
