Not everyone can afford the money to do full height cabinets, and builder always go cheap. Besides, all builders need to do is make it pretty looking and that'll sell the house.
Yes. Thank you! Although it felt like the cabinets made the biggest difference, it was a full kitchen renovation! Check out the full coverage over on my instagram if your interested!
Awesome job, love that you added more cabinet space above! I personally love the all white kitchen look, it brightens the space and makes it look bigger and clean. My kitchen is all white and honestly is not that hard to keep clean like some people might think.
Thank you! I completely agree. The added space is nice and it feels more custom to have them go all the way to the ceiling. Plus just like you said, the all white just feels clean. All of the cabinets doors are a high quality 3D laminate construction and they clean super easy!
Soooo much more storage and nice that you get to keep the functionality of the kitchen almost everyday of the reno yet looks like a totally new kitchen.
So beautiful and glad that I came across your short as I am also creating a second layer of cabinets. I love that you created a face frame to cover top and bottom uppers cohesively!! 👏🏾👏🏾 Definitely going to do that!!
Ahh, just watched the full video. You used bondo to get that seamless look. I was going to use wood filler like you stated. Awesome job because it certainly looked like a face frame on screen. Thanks for the tip!!
Wow what a difference some good old paint can do. And the added cabinets and brown molding took it over the top! Love this! I refaced an older kitchen a few years ago. Totally updated the whole apartment. And was incredibly simple. I didn’t even use our spray gun I rolled and hand painted. Looked great still.
Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have a UA-cam video on this. If you can overlook my cringy voice over, here's the link to my IG Reel where I showed building it 😅 instagram.com/reel/CjYIg5GN5Ss/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Well I thought it looked fine before, but hey if your guy is willing to do all that work then go ahead on i say, my husband would've been like, oh it's fine the way it is lol kudos to this guy! 👍
Thank you! The before kitchen was 20 years old so things were starting to show their age(up close there were a lot of things the camera didn’t show) so since I have the skills to do it I decided to renovate! 👊
@@randomdiyguy I love, love , love it! I want that exact thing for me! I would love to add the second cabinets on top & add the crown molding! The crown milding makes it look sooo expensive. I'd like to add a paint job by "THE GREAT KACHA"!
Your Crown moulding is like icing on a yummy Bundt cake! Painting by hanging looks better and there are sets you can buy that make it so much easier than wire hanger etc. IMO, kitchen was nice in the BEFORE shot, but I live in a old farm house 🤪
Yes I would but at 50 dollars per door (not including hardware, shipping or tax) I would try painting first because many can be saved cheaply but with a little more work. Seems like a great thing to consider if they can't be painted because replacing whole cabinets is quite expensive. Just my thoughts on it
Hey everyone!!! Quick question I've found that a good paint job on cabinets only lasts a good 5 years max before you see scratches in high traffic areas and cabinets faces. Sometimes a year or two before things start showing. What are everyone's experiences on cabinet painting longevity?
Very nice. I just finished spraying (ben moore) all my doors (removed) and brushed the jambs, ca knockdown ceilings, room addition laundryroom. I’m tired (retired). You done a GREAT job! I will watch your video. What paint/sprayer did you use?
When talking cabinets… if I were ti buy all new cabinets, it would have cost a TON more… this was a full kitchen renovation and I just wanted to make a short focused on how I updated my cabinets 👍
I would have just added the upper cabinets and trim and gotten doors that matched the old ones. Sand and paint. I do love the look of the frosted glass used in those cabinets. I would have used that for all of the upper cabinets.
Thank you! My original plan was to match the old cabinet doors for the uppers, but the old doors were laminate and we weren't happy with the color. Decided we like the true white and simpler doors. Also debated doing the glass on all the uppers, but didn't feel like our kitchen was big enough for it. 👍
@@randomdiyguy that totally makes sense. I want to diy our kitchen but I think I'm gonna do the upper cabinets with colored frosted glass or get some colored glass from old window panels... I haven't decided which style I want yet
Go check out my full video to see more details!
Very nice ❤️
Absolutely Beautiful Thanks for sharing much love and Blessings to you 🙏❤️
Cabinets that go to the ceiling, where they belong . ❤
You did a great job! Very pro, crown mouldings are great, I also really like the hut valence.
What a difference, it came out beautiful
Thank you!
Yas! What's up with people always wasting space above cabinets?! You did a great job

I’m so glad people are opting to reuse their old cabinets
It was nice to be able to resume them. I was even able to donate the old doors to my local habitat for humanity!
Nice job. You saved a ton of money and it looks like a remodel.
Thank you!
You right 😮 I hove someone come for estimate price is wow arou$20 thousand just for doo replacement

Thank you! I totally agree 👊

Thank you! I really think taking the cabinets to the ceiling made the biggest impact 👊
So beautiful!
Love the new kitchen. I was só glad to see you spraying the inside as well. I absolutely hate it when people only do the outside.

Thank you. It really means a lot!
@@randomdiyguy Keep going, you're a talent!
You basically turned a pretty normal kitchen, into a luxury one. That turned out surprisingly well
Thank you! That was exactly what I was going for
Hi,good job! You are smart & energetic.White is lovely & comforting.
Wow! I've been trying to get new cabinet doors for forever. Will check this out.
I highly recommend Front + Center!
Exactly what we plan to try.
Good luck! It was totally worth it 👊
Much more organized 🙌 and clean.
Thank you! 🙌
The kitchen was already nice.
Thank you! After 20 years it was really starting to wear up close… which is why I decided to update it
First video of yours I’ve seen and I subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your content.
Thank you. I appreciate all your support!

A cabinet that touches the ceiling just screams luxury for no reason and I love it❤
Looks really really nice💋
Thank you!
🎉🎉 you knocked that one out of the ballpark

I did refacing years ago and they.look fantastic still
.over 15 years

I think the cabinets on top with the crown molding makes the kitchen look bigger. 😍
Exactly what I thought! Thanks
Absolutely beautiful and amazing!!! Great job. 😃👍

This looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Thank you! 👊
😮 that kitchen looks so upgraded now!
PANEL THE FRIDGE !!! but your kitchen is beautiful
Haha right…highly considering paneling it. Thanks!
Love this ! Do you have a video on how you converted the microwave over the stove to the hood ?

I love the update.. Good for you man!
Levelling the cabinets up to the ceiling made the oven wall a lot more cohesive. Otherwise color is just brighter.
Your husband's lazy
Beautiful job. Looks great.
Wow... Brand new kitchen!
Thank you! it really is
Wow!!! Beautiful!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you! 👊
Wow! You did an awesome job!
Thank you. I really appreciate it!
I like the idea of adding cabinets above existing cabinets however I have vaulted ceilings which is proving to be a pain to deal with.
I hear ya, vaulted ceilings can definitely limit you design choices 👍
Looks easy, but that was a big job. Looks sooo good
Your not wrong 😅 thanks!
At first I thought what’s wrong with that old kitchen but the upgrades were so amazing!! 😮
Thank you. My goal was to make it look more custom! 👍

$185 per cabinet door I have about 25 price is more than 5 grand might as well get new ones.
You did a wonderful job. This is exactly what I want to do, but I don't have a DIY background. I'll love to pay someone to do this!!!
Thank you- Highly recommend!
Excellent!👏👏👏👏
Job Well Done!😃👍
Thank you! 👊
Wow! Gorgeous!

Stunning 👍🏼😊

That’s awesome. Keep up the great work! I used the Graco X7!
This is another kitchen!!!
It looks beautiful
Thank you!
Nice! I HATE the open area on top of my cabinets. In my home, all that space does is collect dust.
Very nice.
U did that!🔥
Thanks!
Wow, that is really nice!
Thank you!
Insane difference !
Thank you!
Excellent
Thank you
Um and you changed the backsplash and countertops 🤣 but you didn't want to break the bank 😁

So pretty
Thank you!
It was only the counter tops that needed to go...but your project gave it the extra razzle dazzle 😍
Thank you! 😅
Gorgeous 👍👍👍👍🇨🇺🇨🇺🇺🇸🇺🇸

Love it!

You did different ceiling lights too. In the far corner there was two lights before and only one one light after.
Yes, it was a complete kitchen renovation. Just wanted to focus on the process of updating the cabinets 👍
Looks great!!
I like it this idea and looks nice but I’m a short person 😂
Fantastic job ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Thank you 👊
Looks fantastic! Where is your microwave now?
So much extra storage! I don’t know why this wasn’t a builder standard to begin with.
Nice, but i liled those glass doors and the sense of space from before.
Thanks, totally understand its not for everyone 👍
Beautiful ❤!
That looks amazing
Thank you 👊
Great work, l need your help! WOW, very nice an glam!
Thank you! Check out my full length UA-cam video if you want to know more about the process 👍
Looks great!! What paint did you use?
I love it!
Thank you!
Can you share the cabinet paint color? Thanks. Turned out great
How much did this cost you? The cabinet doors, the top cabinets\, the lighting, crown molding etc...
