I am a 70 year old ARMY. I have been a fan since 2016. They won the American Music Award's Artist of the Year in 2021 and have broken Billboard records set by The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, & Adele. Their discography is immense and varied. My current favorites are the Run BTS dance practice & Jin's solo with Coldplay made as a good bye to ARMY. There is beautiful MV and a single live performance with Coldplay in Argentina. It's called The Astronaut. BTS are all members of the Korean Copyright Association. They plan to reunite in 2025. The members are very close to each other. Korean Pop stands for Korean popular music and covers many genres. They, as a group & individually, have collaberated with many western artists. Dynamite is a rare track, because the 3 rappers sang instead of rapping and man can they rap.
70+ ARMY here in California. I have my ticket for the movie of the Busan concert, that is streaming worldwide, starting Feb 1st. Love your detailed comment. I also learned all I could about them. Amazing young people. They make you rethink your own life a bit, don't they!?
Imagine that, artists wearing makeup hmmm! Like Rick James, MJ, Elvis, or anybody who's been on camera for that matter. In a world that is already so judgy, sometimes it's just nice to sit back and experience how someone else does music 🎶. This track was their first, and only one of three all English tracks out of their immense catalogue. This one was a Disco tribute to MJ & there are several MJ references throughout. If you dive into their music, you will learn quickly that they have things to say and whatever you think they're talking about, you'd be wrong! Do yourself a favor, if you're up to it, you'll dive into their discography, watch a couple of intro to BTS vids and welcome to the BU!
Open your mind to the idea of cultures being different. Unlike boy bands in the US, makeup and hair are a huge part of being a Kpop artist, female or male. That said, BTS (all boys) are so much more than their appearance. They are talented in so many ways (sing, dance, rap, music & lyrics). I hope you continue to react to them and get to know the young men behind the makeup. They most certainly will surprise you. 💜
I was a teen in the 80’s in the usa. I remember Duran Duran wore makeup, had better hairdos than most girls. Rockers teased their hair and were heavy handed with the eyeliner. MJ wore a lot of makeup as well. I think people forget. A lot of alternative groups the guys paint their nails black. BTSWear little makeup compared to so many. It would be a shame for something like that to prevent people from seeing our guys.
@Joy Bailey I loved Duran Duran! I agree with everything you said. It would be ashamed for people to miss out on everything they have to offer just because of a little makeup. Thanks for your reply.
Dynamite was created to lift people's spirits up during the pinnacle of the pandemic. They wanted to reach as many people as possible so they sang in english. 95 percent of their music does not sound like this. As a group they cover a wide variety of genres. So if you are willing to open your mind, we will gladly suggest some titles Hip hop: most will suggest you react to Mic Drop (Steve aoki remix) and Run BTS. I want to suggest Move and Hip Hop Lover BTS has its roots in hip hop. They also infuse their style with Latina, rock, jazz, r and b along with others I am most likely forgetting. Fellow ARMY, let's help open minds even though we want to protect our 7 from stereotypes.
7:02 he's for all genders, not just for women or men, cause even straight men and lesbian are down for that man What I mean is, they deeply respect and admire that man whom you just referred as "Feminine" He's also very known for making anyone question their sexuality Asexuals are no exception And yes, he's wearing make-up but that's not strange at all in their country. Also don't be fooled by his soft looks and feminine vibes. Cause that's just part of his charms. He's actually not particularly feminine nor masculine however his aura or demeanour and even his voice would completely change depending on what song they perform. He can be extremely masculine and devilish when he's in a particular mode Although I know he doesn't look like it but actually he's a BLACK BELTER in martial arts (So he's actually quite strong) He's also the president in their class for 9 years and he's also the top in their University or School, so he's very smart as well, but sometimes he just acts dumb or just too lazy to use his brain) He also has a lot of talents he doesn't particularly show. But what's amazing is he can be as delicate and soft as a flower in particular mode to charm men xD And be extremely cute to get away with anything. Which is why he is called the King of Duality. And not just him, any member of BTS are in different league on their own.
I hope he watches more and doesn’t assume anything and move on. Jimin is the whole package. Funny and of good heart. You are right. He has a black belt in taekwondo. He has 8 years of Kendo, and some Hapkido. I want to say fencing but I can not find proof on that one. But he can basically kick butt if he needed to.
60 yrs young black woman ARMY here. Thank you for the reaction. Love how you research as you watch. Just wished you would have continued a little more. Hope you'll re visit with BTS soon 💜
I love to see new people react to BTS! They are not your typical Boy Band! They are in a league all their own! They are not just one genre , they started out hip hop and evolved as they grew! The oldest Jin will be 30 in December and will enter the military on December 13th. At this time it is forecasted that they will reunite as a whole group in 2025! But right now they are working on solo projects! Jhope headlined the Lollapalooza in Chicago with his album Jack in the box! Jin the oldest just completed is final solo which he collaborated with Coldplay called Astronaut! He actually performed it live with Coldplay at their concert in Argentina! It’s a goodbye to Army while he’s in the Army! Then JungKook the youngest performed last week at the World Cup opening ceremony! The song is called Dreamers! RM the leader is next ! His album to be released is called Indigo ! Can’t wait to see how it will be promoted! Make up does not make them feminine it’s natural for a lot of idols and actors everywhere to wear it! As much as I love Dynamite and I’m grateful for it because it gave the boys their first #1 on the Billboard 100 and their Grammy nomination! It is not the first one I would have recommended to you! Mic Drop with Steve Aoki remix , Born Singer live, original J cole song remade ! Run BTS live in Buson!! On kinetic Manifesto, Black Swan you will need Subtitles on for these songs! Keep an open mind and enjoy going down the rabbit hole! Army’s will help you gladly as long as you respect the boys we are very protective of them! I’ll be watching!! 😊
I’m 35 and listen to every genre of music. But nothing ever hit me like BTS does. They do hip hop, pop, Latin pop, rock, R&B and everything in between. They have something for my every mood or playlist. And with such a large discography, there’s so much. And then, dance practices, variety shows, bombs and all kinds of content. You can get lost in BTS. Welcome! If I can request, check out their performance of Run BTS at Busan from last month. It’s a beast.
I really hope you keep an open mind and listen to more of their discography. I am a 40 yr old ARMY. You can not fall in love with the men and their music if you take the time. They are such talented singers, rappers, dancers, writers and producers. I went to a my first BTS concert with my husband earlier this year and it was unlike anything we’d ever experienced.
BTS have always done solo projects, they've been around since 2013 and have always been supportive of each other. I'd definitely recommend getting into more about them and their music. As long as you stay open minded and respectful ARMY loves watching new people become fans ☺️
You're in luck, BTS is Hip Hop, but they do all genres! They are made up of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists 😁 If you like a taste of what one of the rappers, Suga says is more their vibe, check out Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix) and don't forget to turn on the English captions. I enjoyed how you went off tangent to find out current events. You won't regret diving into their massive discography (particularly the rappers since that is up your alley).
Hi, I'm a 59 y/o BTS Army (fandom name) mom from the Philippines, it's nice to know that you're doing charity work! Very admirable, I appreciate you checking their background too so it might interest you to know that BTS are also charitable & gives so much without fanfare. This song has captured the interest of MJ's nephew Taj Jackson that he acknowledged them for the subtle homage to MJ. The song was released during the onset of the pandemic and it was meant to cheer the fans. This is only 1 of 3 of their English songs in their wide range of discography. They can do almost all types of music genres: rap, hip hop, pop, ballads, edm, light rock and they sing mostly in Korean. They are goodwill ambassadors too. Their style, which some westerners question, is more Korean, that's how their pop idols are styled and they don't have that stigma of toxic masculinity. Oh, but they are brand ambassadors of Louis Vuitton 😉. Glad you checked them out 😊. Try checking their other English song Butter performed live at last year's Grammy Awards.
People always want to point out men wearing makeup. But when it comes to MJ who changed his entire face, people forget that. The term "feminine" when referring to a man can be seen as both a good and bad thing depending on how one takes it. But a lot people fail to realize how different cultures are. BTS wears make up. It's apart of the aesthetic of Kpop, or K culture in general. Rappers and other US 'male' artist wear makeup too. Jimin has a unique, high pitch voice. So did Tevin Campbell (R&B singer). I get it's something new, but I guarantee you'd be blown away by BTS for countless of reasons. If you're gonna take this journey down the rabbit hole, you're be in for the biggest treat of your life.
Yes seriously look at Michael Jackson's face dude. Last check he was full on American and wore lots of makeup. MJ really had a feminine speaking voice. Right on much respect! BTS deserves the same!!
This song is a tribute to MJ & the Jackson 5. It's just meant to be fun. Yes that's Jimin's real voice & he's very much a dude. Makeup is very common in South Korea for both men & women especially when it comes to artists. & they write about 95% of their own music. They're mostly hip-hop but sing in every genre of music.
They are literally the biggest group with the biggest fandom in the world and as many army said in the comments (army is BTS fandom) they are such amazing artists delivering great music, compose, writes, produce most of their own music with various subjects and deep meaning contents. They have various genres of music such as Latin pop, hip hop, rap, pop and ballad. You should probably react to introduction of the 7 members by taylor as it is great way to learn about each member and how they become together. If you want longer reactions and story about then, there are episodes of “the rise of bangtan” to get behind the scenes how they rise to become where they are now. These episodes are made by armies putting some actual clips behind the scenes from the boys. These boys are not just what they appeared to assumed to be from what you see in this first reaction by the way. I hope you are willing to dive deeper to understand why we respect the boys at such a high level here and protective of them 💜 I am a 45 yo army that has been supporting them for 4 years now
Also these dudes ARE THAT BIG. They are definitely one of the greats. They sold out four stadium shows in Vegas in the presale BEFORE the presale. That's over 240k seats GONE before it went out to the general public. And not only that, they sold out the livestream of all four shows at the MGM Grand next door just because people wanted to watch the concert from down the street. J-Hope, one of the members who launched is solo album last summer, headlined Lollapolooza on the final night on the main stage. He sold out the show with the highest turnout in over 30 years. He sang/rapped mostly in Korean the whole time. They literally have over 700 awards. They've swept the AMAs, the MMA's, the MAMA's. You're in for a trip if you decide to go down the BTS rabbit hole.
Thanks for this reaction.:) The voice you thought was a female was the voice of Jimin, the main dancer and lead vocalist of BTS. He has a very unique and beautiful voice. BTS(BangTan Sonyeondan) It means BulleTproof boy Scout in English. After changing their logo, the meaning of Beyond The Scene also expanded. :) As you know, BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of three rappers and four vocalists. And all seven of them are excellent dancers. They do a wide variety of music, but basically they are rooted in hip-hop. All seven members are participating in making their songs by writing, composing, and producing them. BTS started with a small company that almost went bankrupt, so they have been very looked down and hated by Korean broadcasting stations and other K-pop fandom. So they have struggled from the beginning to prove themselves. And yes, the oldest member, Jin, will enlist the military on Dec. 13 and serve for 18 months under South Korean law, and all six other BTS members will serve in the military in order of age and will be reunited in 2025. Jin released his solo single, The Astronaut, a month ago. The Astronaut is a song Jin made with Coldplay as a gift for their fans ARMY to say goodbye for a little while. If you're interested in BTS' other songs, I recommend.... Mic Drop (It's one of their billion-view music video.) Blood sweat & tears FIRE On kinetic manifesto film Black Swan Save me→I'm fine Daechwita(Agust D 대취타, Suga's solo) These are pretty different from Butter or permission to dance or Dynamite.(Only these three songs are fully English. These three songs have been written in English since the Pandemic to give energy to people around the world.) And, all of their music videos provide English subtitles. :) Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful. Or, I think it would be good to follow a story line. DNA: Joy of fateful love → Fake Love: Realizing that love was a lie → IDOL, The Truth Untold, Epiphany, Answer Love Myself: To love other people completely, you should love yourself first. These are included in Love Yourself Trilogy. The lyrics of BTS' songs are based on their own experiences, and their albums are organic because they contain their growth narrative. It will also be fun to listen to their albums in order and analyze them. :) They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :) Oh, plz don't forget their live performances. :) Personally, one of my favorite Dynamite live performance is BTS-IHEART RADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL 2020 FULL HD! ua-cam.com/video/k0VMFosBRXU/v-deo.html The direction and transition from Dynamite to Make It Right, Spring Day, and Boy With Luv are so touching and great. :) 2020 MMA Black swan Perf.+ On + Life Goes On+ Dynamite ua-cam.com/video/PtaP4UkZKyc/v-deo.html Suga couldn't participate in the performance due to rehabilitation after his shoulder surgery, but this is one of the masterpieces. @@awojewodzka the op is correct in stating that jimin is the main dancer, he shares this position with j-hope. He is also a lead vocalist while Jk is main.
What makes BTS so special is how they promote self love and how to care for your mental health. They love their fans and they work super hard. They have made a huge impact on young people (and older) too. My son introduced me to BTS a few years ago. I listened to a lot of their songs during lockdown. I have lots of love for them 💜💜💜
Thank you for your reaction. If you would like to know more about the group, there's an introduction video by XCeleste called THis is BTS: Introduction to BTS. It's about 15mins long but you will get an overall idea of the group and how they started. Then if you want to do a deeper dive, I suggest A guide to BTS members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari. That one is a bit longer but most up to date (as of May this year) and will go into a bit more detail of how they joined and each of their talents and what they bring to the group. If you do decide to react to Talor's guide, please don't split the video up. ARMY (BTS fandom name) will happily sit through the whole video with you. Also, men wearing makeup in Korea (not all but alot do) is normal and especially in KPOP. There are even male idol groups or famous male actors that are ambassador for Korean makeup brands and skincare. It's totally normal here. :)
hi thanks for the reaction if you are looking for hip hop they have a lot of rap tracks too since they were originally a hip hop group check out any song by rm, jhope and suga(Agust D) they are the rappers. And for group songs check out mic drop, the cypher series
And if you're curious to hear just the 3 rappers in the group, I suggest Ddaeng, Ugh and Outro:Tear. These first 2 would be nice for you to see the DKDKTV video where they explain the Korean culture and the wordplay of their language, the video is in English. A song by the whole group that shows their culture too, is Idol, and there's also a video from DKDKTV explaining everything. Thank you so much for your reaction, I subscribed and will follow the channel.
You should check out Taylor’s introduction to BTS as this will answer many of your questions. Suga (on of the rappers) has been instrumental in incorporating traditional Korean music in is beats as the main producer for BTS. He releases his own music under his alter ego Agust D (Suga backwards and DT which incorporates his underground rap roots as he was a member of DTown - Deagu Town where he comes from). The track you can really hear this cultural mix in is his track Daechwita (traditional music that he seals the King’s arrival)
Hello. I'm a 33 year old ARMY from Brazil and I became their fan this year. If you get to know more of them, you will definitely become a fan too. I suggest you watch Mic Drop Steve Aoki Remix Mv and also watch a video with the lyrics of Hip Hop Lover, if you are a Hip Hop fan you will definitely see that you have more in common than you can imagine. Oh and also reacts to Festa 2021 and Guide of 7 member of Bangtan by Taylor Nakamoto, that there you will already have an idea of who they are as people, artists and you will be curious to see more of their songs.
Unclear how with all the great African American singers particularly in R & B who utilize high vocal ranges, an Asian guy who utilizes that kind of vocal range is analogized to a female. And use of costuming and makeup to enhance performance should not be a knee jerk source of judgementalism. Male artists have been using it longer you been alive. But good on you for showing curiosity. Hopefully you will explore further away from their "boyband" styled works to their harder material. Dynamite was meant to be a Covid era feel good and is not typical of their output. Try Run BTS live at Busan to see an example of their more typical mixed genre writing and performance style. It shows a lot of why BTS is the world's most successful group. A lot of BTS's work includes quite a bit of hip hop as they started as a hip hop project that morphed into multiple styles.
Omg this is why I hate when people react to Dynamite first, it’s like people compared them to US artists and saying that they look “feminine”. PLEASE react to Black Swan or ON kinetic manifesto film (and turn on the cc) then you will know that they’re more than one genre, they’re more than pop and the lyrics talks about important things. I’d love that you realize the quality of their music, their rap, their dance and their vocals.
@@letyjackie8586 I watched it, he's ok. He didn't say anything disrespectful in my opinion and he was very interested and curious. He wouldn't be the first to mistake Jimin for a female at first glance in the beginning.
Good luck with this rabbit hole. Goes way deep and you will enjoy the rap line way more than you think you would of. Stick on closed captions when watching.
This song was purposely put out to break into the western charts. Their earlier Korean songs are so much more I promise. Give it another shot with a few different songs. And anyone whos a new reactor to our boys always has questions and we, Army's are here to guide you and help you understand if you're willing to open your mind. But appreciate you giving credit where its due. Thank you for your honesty.
I'm a 62 yr old Army, and I can honestly say you have hardly scratched the surface of BTS's amazing, and endless talents. I think the term boy band or even K-pop doesn't quite fit them. Each of their songs differ in style, and sound, and visuals. One song might be Rap, the next border line classical, the next their singing harmonies. Each of their voices have multi levels of range, but they can blend in perfect harmony together. I am an avid music lover of all music and look for artists from all over the world with something special to give. BTS has that special spark....or it's more like a raging fire at this point, I swear there isn't anything their golden touch hasn't turned to gold. I suggest you start out with a video that gets you acquainted with each member and their talents, and go from there. Learn their message not only to youth, but to all humanity. Their journey from rags to riches is unlike any other I have seen. Despite each of them leaving for their Military enlistment over the next several years, I have no fear the group will disband. They will keep putting out solo projects, or collaborate with other artists, as they have done many times before to keep their fanbase happy till they are all united again. Each time they collaborate with other artists they learn and grow from it, and just keep getting better and better. Check out some of the stars who have made songs together with BTS not just as a group but individual projects. I think you may be surprised by some of the big names they have worked with. Artist such as Coldplay, Snoop dog, Phy, Megan the stallion... just to name a few . I might also warn you that they are also wickedly funny. Enjoy your journey discovering BTS.
During the pandemic, BTS released 3 English songs to spread joy to as many people as possible. These songs are not indicative of their discography. They started out as a hip hop group and still keeps hip hop close to their hearts. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They debuted in 2013. I think you will like them if you like hip hop. Their fans (ARMY) are from all walks of life. I’m 51 and have been ARMY since 2018. I’ve seen them in concert 3x. They are truly amazing.
Suga who is in BTS just produced Psys new single That That u should check out the MV it's good, but u need 2 start reacting to how BTS rose up in the industry there's plenty to react to when it comes to BTS, I'm UK army (BTS fans aka Army) for several years now, check out Mic drop or Dionysius it's 1 of the best MV with their exquisite sync during all choreo 💜 xx
BTS is probably the most diverse group there is, and they change up their looks to fit the song. Dynamite was a song meant to cheer people up during the pandemic, so the pastel and bright colors fit the song. Dynamite is one of the few songs they didn't take part in writing. Most of their songs are in Korean with some English mixed in. BTS has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Two of the rappers started out as underground rappers/producers from about 13 years old. The other rapper was a competitive street dancer. The do nearly every genre you can think of and most of their songs incorporate rapping and singing as well as complex choreography. You should check out Run BTS live and the dance practice. BTS's leader and main rapper, RM, actually has an album coming out on 12/2. The first song on the album features Erykah Badu. Anderson Paak and Mahalia are also features. You should definitely check out more BTS. All 7 members are insanely talented and they are also so humble and just genuinely good people. Their fans, known as Army, are very engaged and we LOVE watching new people discover BTS and jump into the rabbit hole!
BTS are not under any american label, UMG is just a distributor. They have been in the same Korean company (Big Hit) for more than 10 years, currently they are with their second contract with Big Hit
these guys have hip hop songs and R&B songs as well they arent only pop they are so diverse in music. they have a guide called the guide of the 7 members of bangtan youll get to know them and each member as well. but this song dynamite is not only for their fans called Army but this song is also for them to get through the pandemic its one of my favorite songs from them.
had to pause 1 minute in because I literally just choked when you said "korean hieroglyphics" im dead literally got me crying so hard I cant continue yet lmfao.
Yep. You just don't even know. BTS can do it all. Never think you understand them by one song because they are all different genres. Also they have been around for years, so some videos are from their younger years till now. Keep reacting to them, you won't be disappointed. I enjoyed your spark of curiosity and your reaction. Keep them coming. BTS are trendsetters.
Check the Rap line... BTS Cyphers 1, 2, 3, & 4 RM - Joke, Do You, Persona, Seoul Suga (Agust D) - Daechwita, Seesaw (live performance), Moonlight J Hope - Day Dream, Airplane, Chicken Noodle Soup BTS songs that have an r&b vibe... Jimin - Serendipity, Filter (live performance) V - Singularity BTS - Black Swan, Home (Jimmy Fallon performance), Make It Right feat Lauv
BTS has so much content other than music. Even if you start reacting to them exclusively every day, you might be caught up on them by the time they get back to music activities. They keep their fans (ARMY) fed with their variety show Run!BTS, travel show Bon Voyage, BTS Bombs (behind the scenes look at some of their projects), American Hustle Life - reality show they did in LA 2014, dance practices (which is misnomer cuz it's more like dance rehearsal for live performances) and souch more. They have collabs with so many artists like Juice World, Max, Wale, Warren G, Coldplay, PSY(Gangham Style) ...etc, etc. J-Hope was the first to release solo album, Jack in the Box and headlined Lollapalooza which by many is coined Hobipalooza (Hobi is his nickname). Jin, the eldest who will start active duty Dec13, released a single to say goodbye (for a little while) called the Astronaut. RM, the leader, is set to release his much anticipated solo album, INDIGO this Friday (Dec.2). The list of artists he collaborated with that you may know, Erykah Badu, Anderson Paak. There is so much more I can inform you about, it would take days. Sorry for the long comment. I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff that they do. Don't even get me started on their charitable work they do. BTW, a lot of K-pop artists wear makeup (men and women, a like) it's kinda the standard there. K-Beauty market is huge.💜
I love to watch reactors when BTS finds them…. They almost always begin with “the American songs”…. Three upbeat pop tracks released to penetrate the US market while providing something fun for those suffering during the pandemic… But… this group of 3 (serious) rappers and 4 (masterful) vocalists has a catalogue of roughly 300 tracks from the group, sub-group and solos… around 75 offices MV’s and a huge catalogue of dance practice, behind the scenes and making of material… oh and a lot of lives and comedy shows as well. They started as a hip hop group in 2013, and focused on social and economic issues in South Korea…. But over the years they have worked in many many genres especially rap,R&B and pop …. But Latin pop, neo soul, rock as well…. They all write compose and produce alongside inside and outside sources. Their tracks are in Korean, Japanese, English and Konglish ( mixing English and Korean).. they even rap in multiple languages in the same bars inc internal rhymes and word play… I recommend a sampler to clear up some of your initial impressions… all offices mv’s have captions and mostly decent translation. Colour coded lyrics are not as great translations but help to identify individual members. The best translations are on doolset.com… they also provide some helpful cultural notes.. and many tracks have explained by or explained by a Korean back ups. Fire MV On kinetic manifesto MV Blood sweat and tears MV Mic Drop MV Outro:tear live from wembley stadium Magic shop live with English subs ( the one with the sparkly jackets) House of cards live English subs Hip hop lover live (engsub/Vietsubs) Run bts live from busan Cypher part 2 colour coded lyrics Some solo work from the rap line RM joke MV with subs The Last|agust d/Suga(bts) English lyrics J-hope daydream. MV So that’s a lot right… well that’s army for you. We send long comments. We love long videos from reactors and we never get tired of offering “helpful” suggestions… Seriously.. these guys are something unusual… they remain serious musicians and performers in the midst of global fame… humble as well … and the clothes and makeup amd hair amd eye colours are very very “k-pop… but their messages about mental health justice and self love are universal….
Thank you for your reaction! You seem to be a nice person. Yep, 7. Yep, they do write their own stuff. Yep, they do speak English, some better than others, especially the leader, RM. They sing in English because they want to, sometimes. I mean... Well, "feminine" is offensive only if you think that "looking like a girl" is, and I don't ;-) "For the chicks? For the dudes"? Perhaps for everybody, perhaps because they like to wear make-up, like Bowie or Michael Jackson did. Personally, I find them extremely attractive, more than the "average handsome man" in the West. The "female" one is Jimin, a dude with a very high-pitched voice. I'd recommend Festa Live Room 2021 or 2022 ( Anderson Paak play the drum for them in the latter).
you know? magic BTS is not a group. BTS is a magic. if you watch ''a guide to bts7 member ''by taylor you'll beleive. they are so amazing. thank you for your reaction. dynamite is one of the best song of BTS.
Ok sir, first things first, please understand that since BTS is the biggest group in the world, they also have the biggest fanbase in the world. And like other artists, we have a name as well..we are called, the A.R.M.Y. And yes it is connected to BTS's full name, that in English translates to Bulletproof Boyscouts. Their fanbase is big and very diverse. All races, creeds, ages, languages, and genders. For example, I am a 50-year young white woman from Las Vegas. And I know there are so many more like me. So saying that they are a "boy band." Doesn't come close to describing who they are. As for the guys, k pop has been in existence since the 90s, remaining in Korea until around 2008/2009 when it started coming overseas. Now over thr next couple of years it started gaining more and more attention due to the internet and how more types of music from different cultures were being explored. And where Japan has a rock scene that is based off American Rock and Roll, Korean Pop music or k pop is based off of 90s American Hip Hop. Even American producers went over to Korea to show their producers what was involved. One of them being Teddy Riley of Blackstreet and Co creator of New Jack Swing. And a lot of k pop is very influenced by all of it. However, when BTS came along they were heavily influenced by American Rap. And as a matter of fact, that is what they were supposed to be, a pure rap group. BTS has 3 rappers (orginally the had 7, but 3 left and one became a producer.) And the have 4 vocalists...all 7 are songwriters, producers, composers, and have contributed to all their albums from the very beginning. Now k pop is an industry, and like any music industry there are certain things that everyone does...make up is one of them...most of the time it's to even out the skin, they are on camera. And other times it's for the esthetics. And please remember, make up was not created for women at first, just like the color pink was a masculine color at first. Things and outlooks change over time. But there is nothing wrong for anyone, male or female to wear make up. The clothes, usually they are wearing designer clothes like Balenciaga, YSL, Prada, and others. They adore the Off White brand with many idols wearing Off White all the time. I could go on, but it would take me all day to tell you everything, but I will end with this, no there isn't a female in the group. His name is Jimin. Namjoon and RM are the same person, RM is his stage name. In Korea the last name is very important so it goes first, so you will see names like Kim Namjoon or Jung Hoeseok, so Kim and Jung are their last name and Namjoon and Hoeseok are their first name. The best thing I can tell you is to start looking into their other MV's, their music has amazing meaning, yes it is in Korean, "Dynamite" was their first all English song. You might also want to check out a fan made Guide or two. This will help you get to know their music, the guys themselves and why the ARMY is so strong. And if you keep reacting to them, and keep an open mind to their music, those subscribers you are looking for....they will appear. ARMY doesn't just support BTS, but we support those who support the guys and its our way of saying thank you. Please seriously look into their music, I doubt u will be disappointed and will be very pleasantly surprised how much u like it...good luck sir, and hopefully we will see more reactions as u go down the rabbit hole.
The views about the video may seem surprising to you but they are the biggest boy band in the world and they are not afraid of playing with pastel colors, makeup and everything because they are that much confident . And you should know every artist who faces camera, wears makeup. Dynamite is a happy summer and fun song which released during pandemic to make people happy. They have 6 songs over billion views. And million people loves their songs. Thanks for your reaction. 💜 They have many rap songs as well, hope you’ll enjog them
No they are signed to Hybe a Korean label....But they bought out Scooter Braun's company ...So now Bieber and multiple American artists are on their Label ...Columbia only has a distribution deal
Thanks for your reaction, hope you continue. Can I just say, you have NO idea what you're in for if you do! 😅 They're not the biggest in the world for nothin' and the fandom majority is from 20-80's and I'm 54. So welcome to the best experience of your life, I really hope you continue, especially if you love great music. As one rapper reacting to BTS said, they are real MC's - no idea what he meant by that, but he was really impressed! Of course RM (formerly known as Rap Monster, now Real Me or just RM, IQ 148) is one of the main writers with Suga and J-Hope. Suga (as in sugar, comes from Shooting Guard, his favourite position to play in basketball) were underground rappers (that's a whole other story there!) and J-Hope or Hobi learnt when he joined. He was a street dancer who won Nat Competitions. And of course the rest are insanely talented. They are really sincere, genuine, humble artists who write their own songs based on their personal life experience and NOT on sappy love songs. They have group songs and solo's. They do everything as authentically as can be done (their MV's esp) and hardly auto-tune. Their live vocals are even better than recorded! Their music label Big Hit's (now Hybe) mission statement is 'Music & Artist for Healing' and they mean it. They have a genuine love for A.R.M.Y. and vice versa (never before seen, esp in K-POP), a relationship that has led to a lot of jealousy and misunderstandings, calling the fandom 'crazy' or 'teenage girls' alluding to brainless idiots. (Bit like football/soccer fans then!! 😉😉 just kidding). Don't make the mistake of pigeon holing them in any way, they are very diverse and amazing performers but in real life can be real chaotic and funny. Their history, which has been a hard road for them, made them into a genuine brotherhood and they really love and care for each other. Nothing hinky, just real brothers who have been through hell together and made it, through their determination and damn hard work. It's a real tale of the underdog making it big. The ultimate rags to riches story with a lot of battles against prejudice/hatred etc and not being taken seriously just because they speak a different language. It's their personalities that make you fall in love with them, and of course the rest is the icing on the cake! Plus, they're NOT BORING! Some links and info to help: CC's are a must for their Korean songs to understand the lyrics in English. However the best lyric translations can be found at Doolsetbangtan: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ A great site for good quality lives with Eng subs (no copyright issues): Enjoy BTS More: ua-cam.com/users/EnjoyBTSmorevideos Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources. We lose a lot in not being able to understand Korean culture, and these do a great job of explaining the real message behind the lyrics which are always deep. So worth doing an explanation video to their songs automatically alongside the MV. Always watch the MV's to the end! It might be a good idea to ask Army for links for the best performances..... some are not as good as others. They also have various versions of their MV's, from the official MV to remixes (B-sides done for Army) and live performances. Dance videos for their choreography can be found at Bangtantv (their own channel) and behind the scenes videos. Just depends how far you want to go, there is a lot. The MV's have a storyline attached but that is better saved for a time when you know the members more. To avoid any copyright strikes just show the Big Hit/Hybe logo at the beginning of all their MV's. NOTE: THE WORD NEGAE MEANS YOU/ME/I - not the word you think! Some misunderstand so best to get this out the way! Also Koreans or Asians in general are not afraid to show their emotions, so crying/hugging/being close is a cultural thing, which to Western eyes can seem a bit touchy feely or give wrong connotations.
Songs: TAKE NOTHING AT FACE VALUE! Not sure what you'd like but as they have 300 + songs from all different genres here a few favourites. I’m sure Army will give you more to react to! Recommend: ROOM LIVE (FESTA 2021): ua-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/v-deo.html - an annual celebration with Army's, has a medley of their songs from 2013-2020. NPR Tiny Desk Concert: ua-cam.com/video/gFYAXsa7pe8/v-deo.html Have sub'd as I'm looking forward to seeing more BTS reactions! Enjoy! 😎
Columbia Records acting as mere distributor of their records and then later Sony. Their label is South Korean registered BigHit, now called Hybe through Big Hit Music.
Hi friend, thanks for checking out BTS. Hope I can clear up a few things. In general, K-Pop music focuses on a variety of aspect of the art of making music. Visuals are very important, everything down to MV sets, fashion, dance, makeup and hair colour are used to express the artistic vision. They do wear makeup and have unique style in all their videos but so have so many of the greats before them like MJ, Prince, David Bowie, and almost every rock star in history. You mentioned the member Jimin having a feminine vibe. The best way I can describe him is as the new incarnation of Prince. And you're right the song does have a Bruno Mars vibe to it. I often say the main vocalist JungKook and Bruno have perfect pop vocals. I know it's the go to to compare them to bands like N'sync but they so far surpass anything you would normally think of a boyband. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. They swing the pendulum from jaw dropping hard core rap to EDM, to Latin Pop, to R&B to NeoSoul and more. You never know what you'll get with them and they write and produce the majority of their own music. The song you listened to, Dynamite, was one of 3 songs that they actually didn't write themselves and were meant to be their foray into the Western market. That's why the song had such a familiar vibe. Their Korean music (the vast majority of their work) is complex and rich and full of meaning that will blow you away. RM (Namjoon), the leader, writes a lot of the lyrics and he produces and writes with Suga and J-Hope (the other rappers). Each of the 7 members have contributed to writing and producing songs for their albums. Another thing that's different from western pop groups is that each of them have solo music and some have their own mixtapes and even albums while still in the band. J-Hope recently came out with an album and RM will be coming out with one at the end of this week. They're so much more than meets the eye and I would highly recommend that you check out some more of their music. I'd check out Mic Drop the Steve Aoki remix next.
BTS=Beyond The Scene. You want to see Korean flare watch Deachwita a solo song from one of the members Suga he is a rapper or Ddaeng. All 7 are talented, u can see that in Mic Drop w/Steve Aoki, they have bad ass Cyphers 1-4 too (watch live performances). Listen without prejudice and see what you’ve been missing. For a snip it of song medleys watch BTS 2021 Festa. Dynamite was more of a gift song for international fans (ARMY). They have depth and truly are Legends!
BTS. Originally short for Bangtan Sonyondan, Korean for Bulletproof Boy Scouts, and more recently short for Beyond the Scene. Their original name was reference to them protecting the hopes and dreams of the younger generations from being killed off, like bulletproof vests blocking bullets. Addition: Dynamite was made to be bright and cheerful to help people through the pandemic, so the pastel color choices fit. This song, along with Butter and Permission to Dance, are English to help them spread to more people during the Pandemic. BTS is known for their love of their fans (ARMY) and they wanted to help both ARMY and non-ARMY during those heavy years. As for "do they speak English", the only one that is fluent is RM, the group's leader. By now, I would think the others know some English, but they are not considered fluent. Addition 2: No, Jimin is male. He just has a very high vocal range. As an alto (the lower range of female voices) during my choir days, I know plenty of women who either can't hit those notes or struggle to hit them. Also, stage makeup is a normal thing for all performers. Stage lights are very powerful and can wipe out your face. They warned us of that all the time for our choir performances. So them wearing makeup is also a practical thing, as well as for aesthetics, as this was no doubt filmed on a stage. Addition 3: They are signed to a Korean Label, HYBE (formerly Big Hit). They have contracts with US labels for distribution of albums and such. The members are involved in the writing and production of all their works. If you look at the writing credits of the song, there is bound to be at least one of the members in there (maybe even more than one). Suga even produces tracks for other artists now. That That from Psy coming to mind (which Suga also features in) or Suga's remix of My Universe, the collab BTS did with Coldplay. They help out each other's solo works as well, as demonstrated by 3 of the tracks on Jimin's new solo album giving writing credits to RM. Their involvement in all stages of their music is another key thing ARMY love about the group.
Love to see people actually search up all of the questions they have about BTS. I like that you're curious. It lets us know that you will enjoy your journey! I'm sure some Army have already recommended guide videos and such, so I won't make any recommendations. But from what I've read, I will chime in and say yes to checking out the video "This is BTS: Introduction to BTS" by XCelest. Her videos are amazing and this one is perfect for newcomers. 💜
Every artist wears make up in their MV, light make up, it's for good visuals when you're in front of the camera. For BTS, they wear makeup and style for the MV concept, so there's always a different makeup and fashion style in every BTS MV. Yes Jimin is a male but he has such a high pitch voice that some people think they hear a girl's voice. and remember, this is just one of their pop songs but they have a lot for you to discover with different genres of course. its so many, rap, ballad, RnB, EDM, latin pop. BTS isn't a group that can be judged by one song, and Dynamite is actually just a happy song because it was released during the pandemic to cheer the world up, and ya this song is influenced by MJ. so keep discover to their music, so you'll know that BTS is versatile💜
BTS only signed to an American label for a distribution deal since 2020 only. They have been breaking records for 7 years before even signing to an American label, already selling out stadiums, and they weren't signed to the american label but only had a distribution deal. BTS decided to end their one year deal with Columbia cuz they weren't doing anything for them anyways, and signed with UMG, so far UMG hasn't promoted them once and is shading them instead.. Btw, BTS has over 300 tracks, they are in Korean, 50 of them are in Japanese, and only 3 are in English, one of the 3 being the one you reacted to. Dynamite wasn't written by them simply because it was their first ever English project and they aren't really fluent in English except for one member. The second English single had RM participating in rap part of it but that's it. Other than that, their lyrcism shine in their other 300 tracks that have much better lyrics and we can tell they wrote (and even produced many of them). RM wrote songs for other artists as well, and suga produces songs for many other artists. He is known producers and won awards for making hits for other artists. BTS is overall a very versatile and multitalented group which is why they are so big
Yes they are wearing makeup :) from listening to Korean music there culture is to wear makeup like on stage doing promotions and concerts basically. Some Korean singers choose to wear it out in public. But a lot would prefer not to wear it just out in public. That’s just what I gather from the stuff I watch. The one with the high pitch voice is jimin. He’s known for his higher vocal range. Just like a member who’s name is v he’s known for his low range. Although he can be high also. His range he can do it all also. Thank you for this reaction. Also there company from my understanding they let bts have freedom with there music. So most of the stuff you hear is actually bts.
There are so many things I would like to say in this one comment that I don't even know where to start, but what I would definitely like to say is that They are much more than you can even imagine. I think you should definitely watch these videos, I'm sure it will answer many of your questions "THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS" link: ua-cam.com/video/3cESARetI9U/v-deo.html "BTS Members Guide: The Bangtan 7" link: ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html
Highly recommend watching Xceleste videos about the boys. Watch and learn more at does get more fulfilling. Can't wait for you to see and hear more from them
Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels as this song is probably the most "typical" song they've released (just wanted to share good vibes during covid and make people smile). So yeah Dynamite was their first song written entirely in English and it’s good but it's about 5% of what they can do. The vibe was indeed a tribute to a certain « American vibe » and stuff but it’s definitely not something you get from their music in general. Because BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you'll enjoy less. 3 of them are rappers while 4 of them are singers and as you have read, they all take part in the writing, composing and producing process. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. They're pionniers in some way and have been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. BTS members are very involved in their craft. They take part in the music but also the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a line of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions :) Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. The 2 most complete (and amazingly made) guides are : - A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 (by Taylor) - THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS (by xCeleste) In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the journey !!
Why do some reactors obsess over the fact that BTS wear makeup. Remember David Bowie, Ozzy Osbourne, Freddy Mercury, Billy Joe Armstrong of Greenway, Boy George of Culture Club. Wearing makeup doesn't detract from their talent. Please react to more of their songs so you can actually appreciate their amazing vocal and dancing skills 💜💜💜
This is definitely Americanized. It was released during covid, and is much poppier than many of their songs. It was also designed to appeal to the English-speaking market. That's one of the reasons they have done so well on the Billboard music awards in the last few years.
They did some english songs to try to satisfy the racist Grammys ..............Someone else wrote this song ...But BTS writes and produces their own music for the majority
I loved coming along for your reaction gone awry. Psy is the guy from Gangnam Style. He's not typically the artist you would think of when you think of KPOP. However, Suga of BTS did a collab with him called "That That" which was released this past year. Suga produced & featured in it. All of the members write & produce. Dynamite along with the other 2 English songs were meant to be light hearted and lift our spirits during the pandemic; it's not their usual writing style. The Korean & Japanese tracks typically have more meaning. All members of the group have released solo music, both as part of BTS albums as well as on soundcloud for free for fans. The 3 rappers all have 2-3 solo mixtapes/albums and the other members are working on their own albums.
Because there's some people that are intolerant and narrow minded. Or because they've been brought up that way. Most of them wouldn't bat an eye to find out that a huge percentage of all on-air talent, like reporters, game show host, actors in movies and on television, along with men in plays, musicals or stage performances of any kind, frequently wear some form of make up, male models too.... 💜 like so they wear make up in or on shows or mv. And everyone that have been into kpop or kdramas or have knowledge about Korean culture knows that they have good skin and their lips are red or light pink both gender. *Edit: thanks for the reaction about their make up and their features. 👾 please don't force yourself on stuff that you don't find interesting. Its a sensitive month for many of us army. 💜
Jimin has a high thin delicate voice.. You said you know nothing about Korean fashion, but you are saying that the 2017/18 Gucci jackets is more Korean culture style 😮..😅 Dynamite is a throw back to the 70’s a happy light song to uplift spirits in the lock down era. I think Ed Sharon who write this song, I did not know that their is a set number for how many people in a band.. Jimin freak him out, boy too dam pretty 😂😂.
You definitely need to investigate their history! I just discovered them about 5 months ago ~ and I'm a 69 yr young woman. After seeing them perform on the Jimmy Fallon Show and watching them on James Cordon's Carpool Karaoke, I was hooked. So sad I found them so late in their career and just before they have to head into the military for 18 months to 2 years. I'll let ARMY (their amazing "fans" who are so much more than that) fill you in on BTS and which videos you should start out with and which songs to listen to, if you want to get to know about the biggest boy band world wide! They are amazing young men and I find their songs so inspirational and uplifting. Go with grace down the BTS rabbit hole! Borahae!
BTS is fire... Most Korean artists wear make up like most Rock and Roll bands in the 80's and still today do. BTS rap raps too. This is one of a few English songs they did. MIC DROP with Steve Aoki and On Kinetic Manifesto are great ones that will show how fire they are.
There are so many things I would like to say in this one comment that I don't even know where to start, but what I would definitely like to say is They are much more than you can even imagine. I think you should definitely watch these videos, I'm sure it will answer many of your questions: "THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS" link: ua-cam.com/video/3cESARetI9U/v-deo.html "BTS Members Guide: The Bangtan 7" link: ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html
@Black Pegasus - FYI - BTS are good friends with Anderson Paak of Silk Sonic, as well as Coldplay, Pharrell Williams, Steve Aoki, and Halsey. The artists I mentioned are some of the Artists they've worked with, but BTS have maintained friendships with the ones I've mentioned. Also, Pharrell and RM did an interview together - Rolling Stone, Musicians on Musicians, and it's a very insightful interview. RM is also releasing his solo album December 2nd. J- Hope has already released his and headlined solo at Lollapalooza and killed it. J-Hope's album was Old School hip hop, RnB, and rock. He didn't have collaborations with his album, but RM does on his. If you are interested, I can link you J-Hope's album visualizers with English subtitles. Also, he has two music videos that are awesome MORE and ARSON. if you react to those, they have English subtitles, you just have to go into settings on the video and choose English after turning on the CC's. I'm going to link you a UA-camr's channel that only does BTS subtitles on videos, and live performances. she has J-hope's visualizers subtitled, and the Lollapalooza concert, I highly recommend using her content because she does an awesome job. www.youtube.com/@EnjoyBTSmore/videos *This is the BTS Rap Line:* --J-Hope solo Album - Jack In the Box - his solo mixtape 2018 - Hope World *J-Hope - MORE & ARSON MV's, Album Visualizer Playlist, Album Interview.* J-Hope - More MV (turn on Cc's, choose Eng. Western artists who wore make-up: Every artist from the 70s, 80s and 90s: David Bowie Rod Stewart Michael Jackson Prince kiss Duran Duran Def Leppard Every artist who ever shot a music video Every actor in existence I know I’m missing a ton more but you get my point. This was released during the pandemic to give Army some cheer - the whole world in general. So, the aesthetic was intentional. The choreo was a nod to Michael Jackson.
Jin released a new single just before entering the military. The song was written for him by Chris Martin of Coldplay. Jin flew to Argentina to perform it live with Coldplay.
You react to hip hop lyrical stuff? Dayum, you’re on the right path. BTS have a discography of over 300 songs and cater to a variety of genres ~ including hip hop and rnb. I highly recommend you reacting to HipHop Lover (Lyric Video & live performance) where they give homage to the HipHop greats which you’ll be surprised at. Not forgetting Mic Drop, Black Swan, Born Singer (a sample from J Cole’s Born Sinner to which J Cole gave BTS permission to use) ON Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima, and from their Rapline please react to Daeng, UGH and their Cyphers (Lyric Videos and Cypher Medley). Their lyricism, skill, flows and switches are real 🎤 You won’t be disappointed. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists with each solo work. Their versatility and also their humility is one of a kind. There’s so much content to cover from liver concerts, live performances at award shows, their own variety shows and dance practices are legit one of a kind. Thanks for the reaction and being open minded to music from different cultures. This song was to break into the Western Music however, their story starts when they debuted in 2013. These guys have been around for almost a decade and have grown into success because of their hard work and music in their native language. Look forward to more BTS content. I’m here for it 👌🏽
And this is how it starts- you’re at the edge of the rabbit hole! Enjoy the ride down- you will not be disappointed- You will be enlightened! I anticipate watching your journey! ✌🏽
Sorry, I found your confusion funny. Fun reaction. Makeup is a requirement in K-pop for men and women and is no reflection on their sexuality. Just part of K-pop culture. I recommend checking out “Mic Drop” the Steve Aoki mix from Bangtantv (their official UA-cam channel). Don’t forget to turn captions on. Then check out their live performance of it. It was the opener for their recent concert in Busan and they’ve performed it on SNL as well. If you want to know their background and who’s who then the introduction video by Taylor is considered one of the best out there. It answers a lot of your questions and then some.
Shout out to 70 army from Korea army. Bora bora borahae💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yess exactly
Exactly 💜✨
Right. Every single male who walks a red carpet has makeup on. Every sub for male in a movie has make up on…
The common news anchor on tv, is wearing makeup …
So if you are willing to open your mind, we will gladly suggest some titles
Hip hop: most will suggest you react to Mic Drop (Steve aoki remix) and Run BTS. I want to suggest Move and Hip Hop Lover
BTS has its roots in hip hop. They also infuse their style with Latina, rock, jazz, r and b along with others I am most likely forgetting.
Fellow ARMY, let's help open minds even though we want to protect our 7 from stereotypes.
Borahae!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Great comment! 💜💜💜💜💜
7:02 he's for all genders, not just for women or men, cause even straight men and lesbian are down for that man
What I mean is, they deeply respect and admire that man whom you just referred as "Feminine"
He's also very known for making anyone question their sexuality
Asexuals are no exception
And yes, he's wearing make-up but that's not strange at all in their country.
Also don't be fooled by his soft looks and feminine vibes.
Cause that's just part of his charms.
He's actually not particularly feminine nor masculine however his aura or demeanour and even his voice would completely change depending on what song they perform.
He can be extremely masculine and devilish when he's in a particular mode
Although I know he doesn't look like it but actually he's a BLACK BELTER in martial arts (So he's actually quite strong)
He's also the president in their class for 9 years and he's also the top in their University or School, so he's very smart as well, but sometimes he just acts dumb or just too lazy to use his brain) He also has a lot of talents he doesn't particularly show.
But what's amazing is he can be as delicate and soft as a flower in particular mode to charm men xD
And be extremely cute to get away with anything.
Proud to be bts army and Jimin fan💜💜💜💜🇵🇰
All genders. So like men and women. That's it.
60 yrs young black woman ARMY here. Thank you for the reaction. Love how you research as you watch. Just wished you would have continued a little more. Hope you'll re visit with BTS soon 💜
BTS IS HIPHOP !! React to their Mic Drop remix with Steve Aoki . Turn english subtitles on so you’ll know what’s being said.
Don't worry about being late. W over 300 songs as a group & their solo albums & singles throughout the years there's plenty to react to 😁💜
Right? If he decided right now to go through their content lets say twice a week, he wouldnt be nowhere near done by the time they are back in 2025.
I hope you are willing to dive deeper to understand why we respect the boys at such a high level here and protective of them 💜
I am a 45 yo army that has been supporting them for 4 years now
Lol 🤣 I can't wait to see your next BTS reactions. Have fun
I'm also waiting I'm curious for his realizations
I am curious as well. Wondering if he will come back. The makeup and Jimins voice seemed to throw him a lot. 😂😂😂
Thanks for this reaction.:)
The voice you thought was a female was the voice of Jimin, the main dancer and lead vocalist of BTS. He has a very unique and beautiful voice.
BTS(BangTan Sonyeondan)
It means BulleTproof boy Scout in English.
After changing their logo, the meaning of Beyond The Scene also expanded. :)
As you know, BTS is a South Korean boy band consisting of three rappers and four vocalists.
Mic Drop (It's one of their billion-view music video.)
Blood sweat & tears
FIRE
On kinetic manifesto film
Black Swan
Save me→I'm fine
Daechwita(Agust D 대취타, Suga's solo)
These are pretty different from Butter or permission to dance or Dynamite.(Only these three songs are fully English. These three songs have been written in English since the Pandemic to give energy to people around the world.)
And, all of their music videos provide English subtitles. :)
Their lyrics are very deep and beautiful.
They make a wide variety of genres of music like Hip-hop, Ballad, R&B, pop, EDM, etc. I'm sure there're quite a few of their 300 songs that suit your taste. :)
Oh, plz don't forget their live performances. :)
Personally, one of my favorite Dynamite live performance is BTS-IHEART RADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL 2020 FULL HD!
ua-cam.com/video/k0VMFosBRXU/v-deo.html
The direction and transition from Dynamite to Make It Right, Spring Day, and Boy With Luv are so touching and great. :)

Suga couldn't participate in the performance due to rehabilitation after his shoulder surgery, but this is one of the masterpieces.
Maybe you can try this.
[2021 FESTA] BTS (방탄소년단) BTS ROOM LIVE
ua-cam.com/video/RRhjdYsNwAk/v-deo.html
It's a medley performance where you can taste the diversity of their music in 10 minutes. They are Korean songs, but English subtitles are provided, so you don't need to worry. :)
They don't dance in this performance, but you can see them having so much fun. :)
If you wanna know more about them, I think a few introduction videos can help you. :)

Jungkook is the main vocalist of BTS and J-Hope is the main dancer of BTS
@@awojewodzka the op is correct in stating that jimin is the main dancer, he shares this position with j-hope. He is also a lead vocalist while Jk is main.
Go ARMY!
Thank you for your honest reaction and genuine interest. Welcome to the fandom
This! Please watch the introduction videos to learn more about them. They are more than just K-Pop.
Watch this please, sir.
BTS IS HIPHOP!!!!!!
BTS Live Room Festa is a better showcase to get to know them 🤯🤯💜💜
And the Taylor Nakamoto documentary 👌👌
hi thanks for the reaction if you are looking for hip hop they have a lot of rap tracks too since they were originally a hip hop group check out any song by rm, jhope and suga(Agust D) they are the rappers.
Feminine vibe???? Because they use make Up???? That's an annoying Comment!!!
Stop comparing them!!!!!!
They are amazing artists!!!!!
This comment makes me skeptical about watching the reaction... Is it worth watching?
@@nuhkyah23 He thinks Jimin sounds too girly so no lol.He doesn't seem very open minded at all.
@@nuhkyah23 he talks a lot about make Up and their aspect also about the voice of jimin and its so annoying
@@letyjackie8586 I watched it, he's ok. He didn't say anything disrespectful in my opinion and he was very interested and curious. He wouldn't be the first to mistake Jimin for a female at first glance in the beginning.
Also check out RM (BTS Leader) Suga + J Hopes raps that's a definite for u fuq boys channel or the Cyphers1-4 xx
Good luck with this rabbit hole.
Goes way deep and you will enjoy the rap line way more than you think you would of. Stick on closed captions when watching.
I'm 45 and I've got teenage girls so I've already been on my deep dive and I'm thoroughly impressed by them😮😊
This song was purposely put out to break into the western charts.
Hey thanks for contributing .... getting KPOP over to the American side!
Good job! Love it! love BTS‼️
You should watch thier dance practice for "run bts"
JINs Birthday is Dec 4th then Jin officially leaves for military Dec 13th! 🤔😏🙄🕺💜✌🏽🙏🏽
these guys have hip hop songs and R&B songs as well they arent only pop they are so diverse in music. they have a guide called the guide of the 7 members of bangtan youll get to know them and each member as well. but this song dynamite is not only for their fans called Army but this song is also for them to get through the pandemic its one of my favorite songs from them.
Welcome to the one of the biggest rabbit holes on UA-cam. They delve into many styles. Should be interesting when you get to their rap library
you should check out their “run bts” live performance
had to pause 1 minute in because I literally just choked when you said "korean hieroglyphics" im dead
literally got me crying so hard I cant continue yet lmfao.
BTS Cyphers 1, 2, 3, & 4
RM - Joke, Do You, Persona, Seoul
Suga (Agust D) - Daechwita, Seesaw (live performance), Moonlight
J Hope - Day Dream, Airplane, Chicken Noodle Soup
BTS songs that have an r&b vibe...
Jimin - Serendipity, Filter (live performance)
V - Singularity
BTS - Black Swan, Home (Jimmy Fallon performance), Make It Right feat Lauv
Three upbeat pop tracks released to penetrate the US market while providing something fun for those suffering during the pandemic…
But… this group of 3 (serious) rappers and 4 (masterful) vocalists has a catalogue of roughly 300 tracks from the group, sub-group and solos… around 75 offices MV’s and a huge catalogue of dance practice, behind the scenes and making of material… oh and a lot of lives and comedy shows as well.
They started as a hip hop group in 2013, and focused on social and economic issues in South Korea…. But over the years they have worked in many many genres especially rap,R&B and pop …. But Latin pop, neo soul, rock as well…. They all write compose and produce alongside inside and outside sources.
Their tracks are in Korean, Japanese, English and Konglish ( mixing English and Korean).. they even rap in multiple languages in the same bars inc internal rhymes and word play…
I recommend a sampler to clear up some of your initial impressions… all offices mv’s have captions and mostly decent translation. Colour coded lyrics are not as great translations but help to identify individual members. The best translations are on doolset.com… they also provide some helpful cultural notes.. and many tracks have explained by or explained by a Korean back ups.

So that’s a lot right… well that’s army for you. We send long comments. We love long videos from reactors and we never get tired of offering “helpful” suggestions…
Seriously.. these guys are something unusual… they remain serious musicians and performers in the midst of global fame… humble as well … and the clothes and makeup amd hair amd eye colours are very very “k-pop… but their messages about mental health justice and self love are universal….
They are great musicians. Listen to RUN BTS by BTS.. Or react BTS ROOM LIVE FESTA 2021.
They have many rap songs as well, hope you’ll enjog them
Not just biggest boy band, biggest group in the world.
@@crystalsnow1138 yes, you’re right :)
No they are signed to Hybe a Korean label....But they bought out Scooter Braun's company ...So now Bieber and multiple American artists are on their Label ...Columbia only has a distribution deal
Korean hieroglyphs had me dying. It's Hangul
😆💯
Some links and info to help:
CC's are a must for their Korean songs to understand the lyrics in English. However the best lyric translations can be found at Doolsetbangtan: doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/
A great site for good quality lives with Eng subs (no copyright issues): Enjoy BTS More: ua-cam.com/users/EnjoyBTSmorevideos
Also for an explanation of their MV's DKDKTV & Bookish Theory are good sources.

Have sub'd as I'm looking forward to seeing more BTS reactions! Enjoy! 😎
I'm a seventy-year-old dude from Chicago and I have come to love BTS over the past two or three years.
Welcome to the BTS rabbit 🐇 hole!
Only a boy band by structure but nothing else really a diverse group of guys❤
I love your honest reaction! Please keep the BTS reactions coming!
J hope-arson
Rm- joke or (Do You)
BTS only signed to an American label for a distribution deal since 2020 only.
That’s JiMIN he has unique amazing angelic voice💜💜💜
If you interested BTS, please check more about BTS, for example the guide 7 member BTS 2022 or BTS Grammy 2022, thanks for your reaction
There are so many things I would like to say in this one comment that I don't even know where to start,
but what I would definitely like to say is that They are much more than you can even imagine.
I think you should definitely watch these videos, I'm sure it will answer many of your questions

Well, BTS is whole rabbit hole, their discography is already massive and covers a lot of genres but they primary Hip-hop, R&B, rap, ballads and pop.
Highly recommend watching Xceleste videos about the boys. Watch and learn more at does get more fulfilling. Can't wait for you to see and hear more from them
HATERS : "BTS LOOKS LIKE GIRLS"
SUGA : "I CAN MAKE YOUR GIRL SCREAM LOUDER THAN YOU COULD EVER DO."
That being said, you're really perceptive on many levels, can't wait to see more of your reactions :)
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS.
The 2 most complete (and amazingly made) guides are :
- A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 (by Taylor)
- THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS (by xCeleste)
In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the journey !!
The youngest jungkook just proformed live at open for fifi. World Cup check outmv
You said you know nothing about Korean fashion, but you are saying that the 2017/18 Gucci jackets is more Korean culture style 😮..😅
Dynamite is a throw back to the 70’s a happy light song to uplift spirits in the lock down era.
I think Ed Sharon who write this song, I did not know that their is a set number for how many people in a band.. Jimin freak him out, boy too dam pretty 😂😂.
BTS does literally every genre
Hey, just happy that you indulged your curiosity and watched a couple of videos on them! Thanks for being open-minded
There are so many things I would like to say in this one comment that I don't even know where to start,

I'm going to link you a UA-camr's channel that only does BTS subtitles on videos, and live performances. she has J-hope's visualizers subtitled, and the Lollapalooza concert,
I highly recommend using her content because she does an awesome job.

I’m here for it 👌🏽
W BTS music videos if you play the Big Hit intro & don't try to monetize it then they won't get blocked
I would recommend reacting to Daechwita by Agust D (Suga from BTS) you will like this as it is a rap song and has a ton of Korean culture in it.💜
35 years army from morocco 🎉🎉🎉🎉
