Dimash is a tenor (he can fry down to the first octave and sing in baritone register, unlike a "castrato" or countertenor who would be stuck in the highs, and by the way the original singer of this song is a countertenor), but he has a natural malformation in the vocal chords that allows him to have an abnormally powerful head voice. He’s been classically trained since the age of 5 and just worked his ass off on a university level in music studies to achieve that level of vocal mastery. He’s been offered a position in an opera but declined because he wants to do the music he likes. He’s a huge Michael Jackson fan and he also raps !! I personally like it the most when he sings folk songs from his country, Kazakhstan. Extremely versatile artist, speaks 3 languages almost fluently but has sung in more than 15. On top of that he has an incredible personality that deserves to be discovered too !

In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. All great information. I just wanted to add that Dears come from pretty much all over the world. He actually has a lot of fans in the US and Asia in addition to Russia and South America. He has about 10 million fans in China alone, but they are not on the usual platforms we're familiar with (mostly Weibo). They don't have UA-cam or Instagram in China (and probably other countries as well) so it's hard to tell exactly how many fans he has around the world. But the number is growing every day. I can say that he sells out every solo concert wherever he is performing (including New York, London, Germany, China, Russia, Malaysia, Turkey, Armenia, and Qazaqstan, of course). People come from 60+ countries to see him. He is a peace ambassador and wants to bring the world together through music.

Marcelinho and Dimash are both great, but very different. If you want to compare the Marcelito performance to one of Dimashes, „Olympico“ is something similar from Dimash. But he is actually extremely versatile. Most people listen to „S.O.S.“ first. But of course there are so many more incredible performances. If you want to have it all in one single song, then listen to „Stranger“. (but I could name a lot more… 😅)

Dimash performs here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's "I Am A Singer" competition. The song by Russian singer Vitas was already popular in China, so the show's production team asked Dimash to perform "Opera 2" for the second stage of the competition. However, they forgot to obtain permission from Vitas in a timely manner, and he and his team of lawyers would not grant permission to Dimash to perform the song publicly. "SOS" and "Be With Me" are great next songs to check out if you're interested in seeing more of his versatility. For SOS I don't think it gets better than the Slavic Bazaar Live version of the song. It's as close to a perfect live performance as I have ever heard.
I’ve seen all the metal greats live. Bruce, Halford, Geoff Tate, Dio, Hansi, King Diamond, even Midnight. Also just saw Devin, and nice reaction there too! But, I saw Dimash live right before the pandemic and he topped them all. It was insane levels of talent and discipline!

Dimash is much more than this song. He has a technique and range in singing that is art. And he has a good energy. But in this world almost nobody can check this. He has a high level in music education.

Remained a full time student throughout his career, filled global arenas and went to school at the same time, honors student.
As said by others below, even if it seems impossible to believe, you have not seen anything yet... Dimash is so more than the most impressive vocalist in the world. This song shows off his insane high register (and it is not his highest notes...) but to see what he is capable of, you should react to Stranger or SOS (Slavic bazaar or 2021 Digital show). It's alright. This is just one song, and it's not even our most favorite. Dimash is a pandora box. You can start with ogni peitra or olympico. Other songs. Ocean over time. Your love. Show must go on. Be with me. Sos, there are so many different versions I can't even say which one to choose. That's just 5% of his talent in those songs. I've been a fan for six years now. I listen to him literally every day. Once you're hooked, u know ur hooked. It might happen from the first time, or few songs, or maybe never. Dimash can go way higher than this, but often underrated is his lower register. In El Amor En Ti, his voice sounds a bit more rounded. For utimate story telling, go for Story Of One Sky (Although I suggest doing that much later in your Dimash journey). Dimash is amazing because he can sing like this for 3 hour long concerts. Some of his songs are gems because of his range, some because of his 26 second long belts, most beause of his mastery of so many different techniques but all of them are amazing because of his storytelling. That is a gift you can't just learn from a book. Especially not when singing in 13? 14? 15? (I lost count) different languages. He is heavily involved in the writing of his music and production of his videos. And most importantly, incredibly kind, doing a lot of good for multiple causes.

Honestly I try desperately not to compare artists but I honestly don't understand how you can compare Dimash with his 7 octave range, 24 years of musical education and his ability to sing through every genre, play 7 musical instruments, his unbelievable stage presence, his philanthropy, his global pursuit of world peace and his unbelievable concerts with Ren? For me it doesn't add up? I'm from the UK, I've tried listening to Ren and to me he is no difference to many acts and bands that have emerged from the UK in the past couple of decades.

Yup. "What the f*ck just happened?" Pretty much every Dimash song. "Stranger (new wave)" is in English if you want to check out what he sounds like in English. So fun to watch and listen to aliens from other planets singing for us. Also "SOS" where he starts REALLY low and climbs all the way up octave after octave. This is actually less impressive than the other two I just mentioned.

Marcelito is good, very good, but Dimash is from a different planet. He sings in many languages, he composes music, he acts, he dances a little, he plays multiple instruments and he does any genre he wants including a little Kazakh rap here and there. If you want to hear various Dimash voices, maybe check out El Amor En Ti which is his first song in Spanish. You will hear his Baritone, his Tenor, Soprano and pop all in one song. It was performed in a huge concert.
Dimash is simply Dimash there's no way to describe him ,you have to experience his voice in every aspect of it ...his voice is like an extremly well polished diamond .
As impressive as this performance is, it might be the least impressive out of all the videos I've seen from Dimash. That's how crazy talented he is. That's not to say it wasn't executed perfectly, because I don't think Dimash ever misses the mark. It's just that some of the other songs give him a chance to showcase a much larger range on both the upper and lower end of the spectrum in addition to more variety of tones/styles.
Dimash did a song for the soundtrack of an Italian movie " Creators--Past". the director/ producer/ musician, Pierguiseppi Zaia, needed someone to sing one particular song he had composed but could not. Another producer had heard about Dimash and listened to some of his music and suggested him to Zaia. However, they had to use three different people to do the song to send it to Dimash and the three of them still could not do what Dimash did with the song alone. It was during the Covid lockdown, so they had to send him a tape to hear. The song is "Across Endless Dimensions. Check it out. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, singing in Russian on a Chinese singing competition show. At that time he was only 22 yrs. old, the youngest, and the first foreigner to appear in the history of the show. Dimash began his music studies at the age of five and now has a Ph.D. in music competition. He still trains vocally for 3-5 hrs. a day every day.

This song only shows half of his range and barely scratches the surface of what he's capable of doing. This song is in Russian but he sings in over a dozen languages and about a dozen different styles. No two Dimash songs are the same. This is a rabbit hole you will enjoy. I love Marcelito but Dimash is on a completely different level. It's really not fair to compare other singers to him because he's so versatile and has a ridiculously large range. You haven't even scratched the surface of what Dimash can do. Marcelito, good, but not close to this guy. He is a once in a lifetime artist, great performer, great human being. Trained since he was five in so many vocal techniques, his voice is unique - try listening to the control, it's flawless, the onsets to the notes, the subtleties and the power. Never heard anyone like him, doubt we will again. And he's 29 now and still improving, speaks several languages, sings in over a dozen and is from Kazakhstan (look it up on a map if you need to). So many great performances to discover BP, I envy you!
I'm not going to put down Marcelito, because he's very talented, but he is more of an impressionist. Dimash is a singer who sings 8 octaves and can sing every genre of music you can think of. The actual only genre I haven't heard him sing is Country. I'm sure all his fans (millions of them) have told you all about him in the comments before mine, so I'm not going to repeat anything. Anyway, keep up the Dimash reactions and you will continue to be blown away.
This is how this song goes. It is just a cover on a contest that he was asked to perform. Dimash has in his repertoire completely different and much more complex songs. But he shouldn't be compared to Marcelito. Marcelito has 2 voices and he alternates between them, and he usually imitates voices of other artists, Dimash is an original artist who sings in million different voices, genres and styles. He doesn't try to imitate anybody, he creates his own arrangements and interpretations and also sings and composes his own original amazing songs. Try SOS 2021 on his channel.
American fan here. Dimash can do so much more. Highs (higher than in this video), extreme lows and can seamlessly switch his registers instantaneously. He has complete vocal control. Anyway I suggest his song "Stranger (New wave 2021), which is sung in English. It really shows off his unbelievable, Jawdropping talent. Even tho his music might not be " popular" music, his talent is a once in a generation phenomenon. The others (who r great) who jump octaves cannot compare to Dimash however...class by himself.
And he can go even higher - like freakishly high almost to the point of being inaudible to older listeners, like he did in is Gakku performance of "Unforgettable Day". Every single performance of his will impress you. Almost every performance of his will surprise you in a good way. His range is at the limits of what is humanly possible. There's even a running joke that he's alien. It's no exaggeration to say that he's the best vocalist alive right now. You absolutely must react to some of his other impressive performances: - S.O.S. (Slavic Bazaar performance) - Diva Dance (supposedly humanly impossible vocal run that was performed by an alien in the movie The Fifth Element). - Love is Like a Dream (really shows of his soft, sultry, breathy, romantic side). - Stranger (New Wave Performance. Absolutely epic performance that really should be part of the score for the second installment of the new Dune movies, IMHO). - The Story of One Sky (a epic, cinematic music video that really showcases most of Dimash's vocal feats).
This is Dimash having fun, this isn't even a challenge for him. For Dimash this isn't even high but he can go very very low, every performance will shock you I promise.

That was an easy warm-up exercise for Dimash. You have to watch more. The three canonical songs for Dimash beginners are SOS, Sinful Passion, and Stranger. As a rapper, you may like his music video Be With Me, where he raps in his native language Kazakh.

Yes, yes, and YES!
Dimash is a tenor (he can fry down to the first octave and sing in baritone register, unlike a "castrato" or countertenor who would be stuck in the highs, and by the way the original singer of this song is a countertenor), but he has a natural malformation in the vocal chords that allows him to have an abnormally powerful head voice. He’s been classically trained since the age of 5 and just worked his ass off on a university level in music studies to achieve that level of vocal mastery. He’s been offered a position in an opera but declined because he wants to do the music he likes. He’s a huge Michael Jackson fan and he also raps !! I personally like it the most when he sings folk songs from his country, Kazakhstan. Extremely versatile artist, speaks 3 languages almost fluently but has sung in more than 15. On top of that he has an incredible personality that deserves to be discovered too !

The more you’ll listen to Dimash, the more you'll realize that he's one of those singers who only come once in a lifetime. He is actually the best voices on earth, no one will come even close to him.

He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. And this in all the different registers . His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once.
The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
The man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.

All great information. I just wanted to add that Dears come from pretty much all over the world. He actually has a lot of fans in the US and Asia in addition to Russia and South America. He has about 10 million fans in China alone, but they are not on the usual platforms we're familiar with (mostly Weibo). They don't have UA-cam or Instagram in China (and probably other countries as well) so it's hard to tell exactly how many fans he has around the world. But the number is growing every day. I can say that he sells out every solo concert wherever he is performing (including New York, London, Germany, China, Russia, Malaysia, Turkey, Armenia, and Qazaqstan, of course). People come from 60+ countries to see him. He is a peace ambassador and wants to bring the world together through music.

Dimash performs here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's "I Am A Singer" competition. The song by Russian singer Vitas was already popular in China, so the show's production team asked Dimash to perform "Opera 2" for the second stage of the competition. However, they forgot to obtain permission from Vitas in a timely manner, and he and his team of lawyers would not grant permission to Dimash to perform the song publicly. Fortunately for us, and to the chagrin of Vitas, the Chinese had already streamed the performance online.
Dimash decided to surprise the audience with a lively version of three additional key changes on top of the one done in the original. Unbeknownst to Dimash, his father had come from Kazakhstan to watch him perform this song and surprised him at the end of the performance. Dimash was so happy and excited to see his dad. The last performance was part of the 2017 Biennial Concert and not the competition. It was broadcast live and is an original song written for Dimash.
Dimash won the first episode for his performance of S.O.S., the second episode, and the 6th, for his rendition of "Adagio," a song made famous by Lara Fabian. First place overall went to the famous Chinese 51 y/o singer Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall; however, he lost by a narrow margin. He did not earn a lot of points for his performance of "Uptown Funk." Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a fan-favorite in China and now has a loyal following.

Honestly, I don't care if anyone sings better, higher, lower or anything else than Dimash. In any case, no one sings as beautifully as our Kazakh prince. But I have to say, only when a musician has created a similarly epic work as The Story of One Sky, am I seriously prepared to pay attention to the comparison.
Dimash is much more than this song. He has a technique and range in singing that is art. And he has a good energy. But in this world almost nobody can check this. He has a high level in music education.
At 5, the youngest student in its history accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. 29, currently writing his Doctoral thesis for his PhD in Musicology in Composition. Remained a full time student throughout his career, filled global arenas and went to school at the same time, honors student.

Dimash can go way higher than this, but often underrated is his lower register. In El Amor En Ti, his voice sounds a bit more rounded. For utimate story telling, go for Story Of One Sky (Although I suggest doing that much later in your Dimash journey). Dimash is amazing because he can sing like this for 3 hour long concerts. Some of his songs are gems because of his range, some because of his 26 second long belts, most beause of his mastery of so many different techniques but all of them are amazing because of his storytelling. That is a gift you can't just learn from a book. Especially not when singing in 13? 14? 15? (I lost count) different languages. He is heavily involved in the writing of his music and production of his videos. And most importantly, incredibly kind, doing a lot of good for multiple causes.

Dimash may go down in history as the most extraordinary vocal talent known to man. I cannot think of anyone, past or present, capable of doing what Dimash is capable of. I am still waiting on someone to name a single individual even remotely close to Dimash's mastery.
If you want to follow Dimash's career progression over the last five years, here is a song list I usually recommend in semi-chronological order: S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse), either the Slavic Bazaar or the 2017 "I Am A Singer" version. His covers from the same competition of Lara Fabian's "Adagio," Eric Carmen's 1975 "All by Myself" (repopularized by Celine Deion), and Freddie Mercury's "The Show Must Go On." Also, from the same show, Confessa & Diva Dance, Opera 2, Daididau, Daybreak, and Autumn Strong. His "I Am A Singer" 2018 guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is a must. Then there is Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast), Love is like a Dream, Your Love, Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) from Igor Krutoy's channel, Diva Dance (Bastau Concert), Across Endless Dimensions (either the movie trailer or his internet live concert performance), and Know (both the regular performance as well as the vocalise). His more operatic-sounding performances are Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina), Ulisse (Duet w/Aida Garifullina), Tu Vas Me Détruire (duet w/Sundet Baigojin), Question of Honour (duet w/Zarina Altynbayeva), and the aforementioned Olimpico (Ogni Pietra).
His traditional and Chinese songs are also impressive: Adai+Daididau, Samal Tau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival), Qairan Elim (Holy Land), Elim Menin (My Homeland), Karagym-ai, Thousand of Miles - A Common Dream, and Ómir Óter. And then there are Drunken Concubine & Diva Dance (duet with Li Yugang), Without You, Love Of Tired Swans, Where Love Lives, Unforgettable Day (Gakku Concert), I Miss You, Passione, Give Me Love, Marigold, Golden, Mademoiselle Hyde, Screaming, his latest music video "Be With Me," just to name a few.
His songs, "Fly Away," "Stranger," and "Ave Maria," debuted live at New Wave 2021, and the latter two are on a whole new level. Dimash performs an alternate version of "Stranger" on the "Shine! Dimash also released "Ikanaide,'' performed during the 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival live stream, which is absolutely incredible. He sings in nearly flawless Japanese.
His release, “The Story of One Sky,” is a 13+ minutes mini movie masterpiece that will lead you on an emotional rollercoaster and leave you spellbound. It is possibly Dimash’s best work today and took three years to complete. It showcases all of Dimash’s vocal skills, spans across all four registers, and covers a wide range of genres and vocal techniques. I would suggest watching the live performance fan cam footage of the song if you want to evaluate his vocal performance. The music video’s visuals and storyline are so impressive and emotional that it can be overwhelming and quite difficult to focus on the vocals. Dimash’s latest release “Together,” is not one of my favorites but nonetheless beautiful.
Avoid any performance from "The World's Best." The show in L.A. was utterly disgraceful. The production team edited and cut all of Dimash's performances down to 2 minutes and cut out his Kazakh song for no reason.

Honestly I try desperately not to compare artists but I honestly don't understand how you can compare Dimash with his 7 octave range, 24 years of musical education and his ability to sing through every genre, play 7 musical instruments, his unbelievable stage presence, his philanthropy, his global pursuit of world peace and his unbelievable concerts with Ren? For me it doesn't add up? I'm from the UK, I've tried listening to Ren and to me he is no difference to many acts and bands that have emerged from the UK in the past couple of decades.

Look if I had to pick based upon the impact of the body of work, the true generational talent…in fact not even generational, really EVER talent…those holy sh!t moments where you are reeling…no one compares to Dimash…ever…in history. I have been obsessed with Dimash. Maybe a thousand views of channels where the reactors lose their minds. He is divine.
But I do adore Ren. He has also changed the game for me. I won’t go into all the reasons why.

My only argument with your original statement is that Dimash and Ren are cut from the same cloth, for me, for reasons I won't go into either, they're extremely different. In fact diametrically opposed. Dimash gives me hope and dreams of a brighter future, Ren made me feel the very opposite, but as you've said it's all subjective when it comes down to your favourite artist isn't it?
Yup. "What the f*ck just happened?" Pretty much every Dimash song. "Stranger (new wave)" is in English if you want to check out what he sounds like in English. So fun to watch and listen to aliens from other planets singing for us. Also "SOS" where he starts REALLY low and climbs all the way up octave after octave. This is actually less impressive than the other two I just mentioned.
This was a good choice for Dimash, since the Chinese crowds know and love this song already. It is a contest among established singers, so you know it is real, no cheating. ❤

Marcelito is good, very good, but Dimash is from a different planet. He sings in many languages, he composes music, he acts, he dances a little, he plays multiple instruments and he does any genre he wants including a little Kazakh rap here and there. If you want to hear various Dimash voices, maybe check out El Amor En Ti which is his first song in Spanish. You will hear his Baritone, his Tenor, Soprano and pop all in one song. It was performed in a huge concert.
Dimash is simply Dimash there's no way to describe him ,you have to experience his voice in every aspect of it ...his voice is like an extremly well polished diamond .

As impressive as this performance is, it might be the least impressive out of all the videos I've seen from Dimash. That's how crazy talented he is. That's not to say it wasn't executed perfectly, because I don't think Dimash ever misses the mark. It's just that some of the other songs give him a chance to showcase a much larger range on both the upper and lower end of the spectrum in addition to more variety of tones/styles.
Dimash did a song for the soundtrack of an Italian movie " Creators--Past". the director/ producer/ musician, Pierguiseppi Zaia, needed someone to sing one particular song he had composed but could not. Another producer had heard about Dimash and listened to some of his music and suggested him to Zaia. However, they had to use three different people to do the song to send it to Dimash and the three of them still could not do what Dimash did with the song alone. It was during the Covid lockdown, so they had to send him a tape to hear. The song is "Across Endless Dimensions. Check it out. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, singing in Russian on a Chinese singing competition show. At that time he was only 22 yrs. old, the youngest, and the first foreigner to appear in the history of the show. Dimash began his music studies at the age of five and now has a Ph.D. in music competition. He still trains vocally for 3-5 hrs. a day every day.
The more you delve into the wonder of Dimash, you will realize that there is NO comparison between the 2.... Marcelito, is indeed impressive, but Dimash is incomparable....

This song only shows half of his range and barely scratches the surface of what he's capable of doing. This song is in Russian but he sings in over a dozen languages and about a dozen different styles. No two Dimash songs are the same. This is a rabbit hole you will enjoy.
I love Marcelito but Dimash is on a completely different level. It's really not fair to compare other singers to him because he's so versatile and has a ridiculously large range. There's nothing he can't sing. Looking forward to seeing more reactions to Dimash. ❤

You haven't even scratched the surface of what Dimash can do. Marcelito, good, but not close to this guy. He is a once in a lifetime artist, great performer, great human being. Trained since he was five in so many vocal techniques, his voice is unique - try listening to the control, it's flawless, the onsets to the notes, the subtleties and the power. Never heard anyone like him, doubt we will again. And he's 29 now and still improving, speaks several languages, sings in over a dozen and is from Kazakhstan (look it up on a map if you need to). So many great performances to discover BP, I envy you!

I'm not going to put down Marcelito, because he's very talented, but he is more of an impressionist. Dimash is a singer who sings 8 octaves and can sing every genre of music you can think of. The actual only genre I haven't heard him sing is Country. I'm sure all his fans (millions of them) have told you all about him in the comments before mine, so I'm not going to repeat anything. Anyway, keep up the Dimash reactions and you will continue to be blown away.

This is how this song goes. It is just a cover on a contest that he was asked to perform. Dimash has in his repertoire completely different and much more complex songs. But he shouldn't be compared to Marcelito. Marcelito has 2 voices and he alternates between them, and he usually imitates voices of other artists, Dimash is an original artist who sings in million different voices, genres and styles. He doesn't try to imitate anybody, he creates his own arrangements and interpretations and also sings and composes his own original amazing songs. Try SOS 2021 on his channel.

American fan here. Dimash can do so much more. Highs (higher than in this video), extreme lows and can seamlessly switch his registers instantaneously. He has complete vocal control. Anyway I suggest his song "Stranger (New wave 2021), which is sung in English. It really shows off his unbelievable, Jawdropping talent. Even tho his music might not be " popular" music, his talent is a once in a generation phenomenon. The others (who r great) who jump octaves cannot compare to Dimash however...class by himself.

Every single performance of his will impress you. Almost every performance of his will surprise you in a good way. His range is at the limits of what is humanly possible. There's even a running joke that he's alien. It's no exaggeration to say that he's the best vocalist alive right now. You absolutely must react to some of his other impressive performances:
- S.O.S. (Slavic Bazaar performance)
- Diva Dance (supposedly humanly impossible vocal run that was performed by an alien in the movie The Fifth Element).
- Love is Like a Dream (really shows of his soft, sultry, breathy, romantic side).
- Stranger (New Wave Performance. Absolutely epic performance that really should be part of the score for the second installment of the new Dune movies, IMHO).
- The Story of One Sky (a epic, cinematic music video that really showcases most of Dimash's vocal feats).
This is Dimash having fun, this isn't even a challenge for him. For Dimash this isn't even high but he can go very very low, every performance will shock you I promise.

I'm glad you discovered Dimash. He is extremely talented. And while he is completely different from Ren, they both have in common that they are both very unique in their own style, have a once in a lifetime talent, and appear to be very decent and humble human beings at the same time.
