Let’s set the record straight! I didn’t say “it’s for teenage girls” or “only teenage girls watch” I just SIMPLY SAID they must be every teenage girls dream. Meaning that I can see why MANY girls would love them. Look at them! They are humble, real, good looking and positive. Please let’s not jump to conclusions here.
Because you like lyrics, you'll probably like most of their stuff. Some songs get deep and need explanation videos. XCeleste and DKDKTV are good for those. Check out Black Swan please. Thanks 💜
@@mpgisbtsarmybaefighting2838 oh yeah, those ex explanation channels, agree. I follow them on Instagram and check them out from time to time on UA-cam. Also DKDK TV has something called ‘Ramyun and chill’Check it out soon 😅
I am almost 50 and have seen Pink Floyd, U2, Rush (several times), Metallica, and many other great concerts. BTS blows them all away...by a wide margin. They are so talented and most importantly-amazing human beings!!
One thing I want to point out that is a massive plus about you is that when you realized you didn't have subtitles, you put them on and went BACK. A lot of reactors just put the subtitles on when they remember to and don't run it back. That is a HUGE plus to ARMY and shows that you care. We thank you💜 welcome to the rabbit hole that is BTS
🙏🏻 thanks awesome to hear! Yeah I wanted to make sure I knew what I was missing. Thanks for watching and suggestions! I will be as real, raw, and natural as I can and go down a rabbit hole of great music. ❤
Agreed. BTS's lyricism is unparalleled, and is what drew many of us to become fans. It always pains my soul when people don't put on the subtitles, lol.
@@ashleyder9164 yeah I can imagine, why bother even reacting if you don’t know what you’re really reacting to. Lyrics are a huge part of a composition and something I try and pay attention to. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
I have a hard time calling them K-pop. They are K- every genre. Spring Day is a memorial to the one of the worst tragedy's in recent Korean History. There is a explanation video you should watch. Explanation to Spring Day, the one done by Italian ARMY is probably the best, but it's also the most gut wrenching so I always tell people to pick which one for yourself.
Hey! Love your reaction, thanks for being open-minded and attentive. You wondered how the group was formed and if you want to learn more about them I'd suggest "The most beautiful life goes on: A story of BTS (2022 update!)" by Rice Squad. And If you want to learn about their personalities: "A guide to BTS members: the bangtan 7" by Taylor Man is the best. These videos are long, but ARMY(BTS fans) are not scared of this and will gladly watch them with you 💜
@@Kazilla. and if you want an idea of what they can do in a concert, I attach one of my favourite performances. It' s 8 minutes, 2 songs ua-cam.com/video/aNu0DEWPuL0/v-deo.html And they do write a lot of their lyrics, even produce some songs. Looking forward to see you discovering more if you are up for this. 😊
54 year old ARMY here and I appreciate you reacting to BTS. I pointed out my age because I want to let you know that their fans age range is birth to death 😂. Seriously. My mother is 91 and loves these guys (and so does my 16 year old daughter). I went to their concert in LA and Vegas and I met several people that were in their 60’s and 70’s that were huge fans (they were getting just as crazy as the younger fans). There was a 3 generation family sitting next to me in Vegas that traveled from the Philippines to see them. It is staggering how big and diverse their fan base is. Every single member is talented enough to stand on their own and together they are unstoppable. They have a LOT of content to view… check it out. You won’t be disappointed. 💜
I am 61 and have been a dedicated ARMY for 6 years. I couldn’t agree more with these words. Every layer of these men and their art will surprise you. They truly are special. In my lifetime of experiencing many musical legends, I have never been a fan like I am of these young men. It is not only BTS’s music and message but them as human beings that make them once in a lifetime stars.
52 year old here, just echoing what both fellow ARMYs said previously. Glad you appreciate lyrics since that is such a major key point of their popularity. Their music actually has something to say...to us all, regardless of age. Glad to see you are going to actually look for the answers to your questions.
I am at my 40s, found BTS from 2 y.o baby who adores Jimin a lot. You can express your reaction the way you want, ofc. it's us, Army from all over the world, no limit in ages, in race, in skin color, in language, who are very welcoming if you want to know BTS further. Thank you for your reaction.
They are seven very different artists, and that's why we have musical variety. They do hip hop, R&B, ballads, latin pop...etc. His lyrics are about self-love, mental health, issues of society , gratitude to his fans...etc. You could react to "RUN BTS" Busan concert, "ON kinetic manifesto", "DOPE". Just Rap line: "UGH" busan concert or "OUTRO: TEAR" Wembley( This song is about when they had problems and thought about disbanding in 2018). The lyrics are very important, always try to put a subtitle and if it doesn't work you can search later. (Sorry for my english) Thanks for your reaction.
Oh wow that’s really cool and I like a group that is musically inclined. No wonder why they are so famous. I’ll need to check some of these out and I’m curious to dive in more with BTS!
Hello my Dear, I'm 68 years old and I love BTS so MUCH, 7 young men super talented AND truly artists, thanks for your reaction, enjoy your journey, Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
That’s awesome to hear! I love artists who can make universal music for everyone to relate to. Thanks for watching and I will do more! I appreciate it. 😊
@@Kazilla. It might surprise you but over 50 % of ARMY (the fans) are over 30+ yrs. For a 'boyband' the fandom has very little percentage of teenage fans (about 23%), the most is over 20 and beyond. Also a big percentage are male. That is only one indicator why these seven young men are as big as they are today. They are the biggest band in the world, not KPop not Pop, just THE BIGGEST ACT. It was a very fortunate day when these guys came together and eventually formed BTS (short for Bangtan Sonyeondan aka Bulletproof Boyscouts). They were all between 15 and 20 when they debuted back in 2013, s boyscouts indeed. Oh and to end it as I started it: I belong to that 30% bracket. I am 55.
All types of music? Sounds like you're a good fit for BTS 😊 Thank you for being open minded, respectful, appreciative and interested in our pride and joy! Adding to the age comments... 47 here and adore BTS! 💜
I'm going to comment as I watch. Yes bts is the biggest. They've been around since 2013. It's very likely that you've heard Dynamite (the first song) before because it was a international hit especially in the U.S. From Samsung commercials to sports games it was everywhere. Its their song. Dynamite, Butter (which you may have heard as well but not realized it), and Permission to Dance are their only full english songs; the rest are primarily in Korean. A good rule of thumb when it come to bts is whatever you think/assume about them, forget it. They're not like typical kpop or a typical boy group. They're following is not just teen girls. They make music in a variety of genres. No matter what song or video you start on, no singular video will ever show you their full potential. They have 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Their rappers are REAL rappers too. It may be skipping ahead but if you want to get an idea of their abilities I suggest Outro:Tear (which is a rapline song, so only the rappers). If you want to see vocal line's abilities I recommend The Truth Untold if you like ballads or Dimple if you want something upbeat.
Oh wow! Yes that’s really descriptive thank you. They do seem really talented that’s for sure and yeah maybe dynamite I have heard then, that makes sense and good to know it’s theirs! I’m going to have to go down the rabbit hole!
BTS have been around since 2013 and for the most part write their own music with the help of their in-house staff but Dynamite is one of the very few tracks they had no hand creating. The rapline - blue, black and red mics do write their own bars and have mixtapes/solo albums showcasing their own voices outside of the group. The group's leader, Namjoon with the blue hair, does write most of their songs but all of the others have their own writing credits, too. He'll be releasing a solo album called Indigo in December with a lot of well known featured artists. Sadly you're being introduced to them now when the oldest member Jin, third from the right, will be enlisting in the Korean military for around 2 years next month since December 4th is his 30th birthday. I bet they're older than you thought! The others will be enlisting when their personal schedule allows but the rapper with the black mic is the next to hit 30 in March which is age limited they NEED to have it done by. Outside of an official announcement stating that they will be enlisting along with a notice that the entire group won't be back together as 7 until 2025 we don't have details on when it'll happen. However you have almost 10 years of content to wade through and they're actively working on side projects that they didn't have the time for. Sorry for the LONG post and lots of information but make sure the CCs are on for official MVs. Anything that says auto translated is going to be incorrect in terms of lyrics. These boys are really something special and for me a once in a lifetime act who I've seen live twice and they honestly set the bar crazy high in regards to what I want to see from any artist going forward.
Wow, they are around my age 😅 Wow so they do have a leader I didn’t know. Thanks for that. This was such a detailed comment thanks for the info, I’ll be diving into them for sure!
@@Kazilla. yup. Also the leader role isn't like the best person on the team or anything. In BTS it means help translating the ideas from the team to the company and vice versa. Rm was the first to join as well. By the time they were doing interviews that required English (not forced but instances where speaking English would be better) as well as doing some english lyrics, rm would speak English and translate for the other members. He was and still is fluent in English from the very beginning by watching the show Friends. There is a lot that goes into that role as well but the intro videos might explain thay for you.
BTS does NOT stand for 'behind the scenes', their name stands for BangTan Sonyeondan - Korean for Bulletproof Boy Scouts. They debuted as a Hip Hop Idol Group in 2013, from a small company - BIG HIT Ent., and they worked hard to have the success they have today. They are the most popular music group in the world right now, and they have arguably the largest fanbase in the world, with over 90 million fans and growing. They write, compose, and produce their own music, and they are not afraid to try new genre's and give messages in their music that are not common in KPOP, like social justice, mental health, and self love and development, etc. They are genuine, hard working, humble, and extremely talented, that is why they are famous and loved through out the world. I'm a 56 year old ARMY (BTS Fandom), and I've never loved a group of musicians more than BTS. They have created a community of people that spred their message of Love Yourself, and Follow Your Dreams, and Don't give up, and keep going, we can do this together. BTS ARMY are one of a kind, because BTS are one of a kind. Sorry I went on a rant, you will find that BTS fans are very passionate about supporting BTS, and spreading their message. I would like to recommend an introduction video that will tell you their story from the perspective of the Fandom. This one is very well done, by an ARMY that does video editing for a living, and she actually got the input from the fandom and incorporated it into her intro. It's the best one out their as far as introductions. We don't mind watching longer videos as well. So here you go. A Guide To BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 by Taylor - ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html
Oh wow! This was very informative, 90 million is a lot! That’s what they stand for, okay, good to know. thank you for sharing and thank you for watching!
I'm so happy you're reading the lyrics.. it's a big deal for both BTS and us ARMYs and part of the reasons why they're big, they're also more of a storyteller group... yes, they're lyrics are beautiful and poetic, they held different (deep) meanings...
See I think it’s important to have good lyrics and a good beat of course but the lyrics are what people can relate to. These lyrics for these songs were top notch.
If you watch the Bangtan 7 by Taylor it is the most comprehensive and up to date introduction currently out there. It gives some information about the group as a whole and also breaks down each individual member's background and personality, including some information on how they joined. Definitely recommend it as the "go to" intro, and I guarantee although it might be a little long, we would love to watch you react to it. For music, I'd like to suggest you watch their Festa Room Live, which is a 10 minute medley of some of their b-sides from debut in 2013 to 2020. It's a really good way to see how versatile their music is.
Love how you always pointed out how well-written their lyrics are. This is one of the reasons why a lot of us gravitated towards them. They inspire me to learn korean language. Their ability to make wordplays & double to triple entendres across languages (Korean, Japanese, and English) are astounding.
70 year old BTS Army here. Fun fact: 25% of BTS Army (fans) are over 40. I like to just call them a "group" and that works for most of us. Just so you know, almost every performer wears stage makeup. Even news anchors wear makeup. The intense lighting washes them out. BTS is on a higher level and that is why they are the biggest group worldwide not just Kpop. They are heavily involved with writing and producing most of their own music since they have been given artistic freedom by their label. That artistic freedom is not promoted in the rest of the world of Kpop. Other labels hand their groups songs and tell them to sing it. BTS paved the way and have moved way beyond Kpop globally. They have won over 700 awards worldwide including the Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards where they have won 11 awards, two from this year. They have won a record breaking 12 Billboard Music Awards. They have also been nominated for five Grammy Awards with three this year just announced. Two of them are with Coldplay. The song you picked to react to here was their first Grammy nomination in 2020, "Dynamite". It received a lot of airplay. They have broken records held for decades by the Beatles and Michael Jackson just to name two. I suggest you watch BTS "ON Kinetic Manifesto Film" next and then a recent "Run BTS Dance Practice. There is also a very recent "Yet to Come Concert in Busan" performance with opening songs "Mic Drop" followed by "Run BTS" that you should see. Watch them both, one right after the other. You should also react to what is recommended for you by other members of BTS Army. Very good first reaction especially since you know nothing about them. Enjoy your journey down the BTS rabbithole should you choose to jump in. It has been life changing for so many. 💜
Wow thanks so much for watching! I didn’t know they had such a huge fan base over that age! That’s amazing! And yes I am an actor and I know wearing makeup is crucial for on camera presence so no hate at all I was just stating. I’m going to dive deeper into their content!
Bts is the greatest underdog story of all time. From a company right before bankruptcy, sharing one room, recording their first album in a garage, being hated and bullied by their peers in the industry, to the biggest group in the world, maybe of all time with 5 grammy nominations and the ability to sell out a stadium world tour in minutes. There is sooo much depth to everything they do, the music is great, the lyrics are awesome, their stage presence and dancing is incomparable. And while achieving all of this, they are all, above all, great human beings, humble, polite, with an unprecedented work ethic. They have a real bond among themselves, they truly love each other, they support each others solo projects etc. Their whole career has been played out on social media, so the fans have a feel like they have seen them grow up and there is a sense of pride there, and the want to protect them, b/c to this day, these guys have faced some enourmous hate, attempts at sabotage, foul media play, death threats, bullying of all kind, later when they broken to the US, racism and xenophobia as well. The bond they have with their fandom ARMY hasnt been seen in the music industry to this day, ever. One gripe, BTS is bigger than the whole kpop industry combined. When you look at a pie chart, over half is BTS, with Black pink sharing the other half with the rest of the kpop groups. BP is on a tour right now and they had somewhat trouble selling out 10-15k arenas. BTS in 2019 sold out Wembley stadium twice in like 90 minutes. So all in all NO comparison. I look forward to more BTS content from you. Good luck and ignore the occasional toxic morons in the comments.
@@Kazilla. I think BP is indeed the biggest group in the K-Pop industry As for BTS, it had long surpassed the whole K-Pop industry so there's actually no point putting them in the box called 'K-pop' So there's also no point in comparing them to Black Pink Cause Black Pink is a classic example of 'K-pop' While BTS is just BTS
@11:58 I'm glad you asked about their background lol. There are 2 videos that people are going to/would recommend you. One is shorter and the other is longer but more up to date and comprehensive. The short one will give you a brief overview of what the group is all about & a little about where they came from. The longer one will go into depth about each member, how they got into the group, and what role they play in the group. You can start with the short one if you prefer, but everyone is going to ask for the longer one anyway lol. Here are the links: Introduction to bts by xceleste (shorter one) - ua-cam.com/video/3cESARetI9U/v-deo.html A guide to the 7 members of bts by Taylor - ua-cam.com/video/huV_yIdxZPY/v-deo.html
Don't forget about the rise of bagtan series and bonus and extra scenes. That series has almost everything, from before debut up until kind of recently.
Yea, BTS! I'm 44 and adore these guys for all their amazing talents. Their humble come-up and authentic chemistry simply cannot be replicated no matter how hard the other companies try to create their own version.
My fellow ARMY have done a great job summarizing how special BTS is. Good start, we appreciate you for being open-minded. You will be surprised how many genre's they cover. In addition to their extraordinary talent, they are also amazing human beings as you will find out should you go down that rabbit hole. It's worth it! 💜
I like how chilled you are, and how varied your self confessed taste in music is. Most of the people who listen to BTS seem to be very ecclectic in their taste of music. Music is universal. So as it should be. Thanks man.
I love watching reactors recognize BTS for their incredible art and talent. They are #1 because they are that good! Each is an art genius in their own field, rap, vocals, dance, acting, visuals, philosophy, diplomacy...it seems like their depth never ends.
They say that they write like a music camp. Each of them has a lyric or a piece of music that they take to the Producer he then can tell them if it fits in the song or another then after they put the song together they decide who will sing which piece, this is decided by all of them. As for Dynamite it was written by an outside source but this is their song. You may have heard it on a commercial or two but this is their song. When they first started they did a few Korean song covers then on MTV Unplugged they covered "Fix You" but all their other songs they sing are their songs. As far as their size in Korea their are large member groups. Groups with 10 to 20 members, so 7 is not that large.
Really enjoyed your reaction to them! Hope you decide to listen to more of their stuff. I also thought 7 members was a lot at first, but now it feels exactly right - they found a really good balance between all of their skills, musical preferences and their different personalities to bring the best out in each other. BTS actually calls themselves a “team” more than a “boyband”, which is super interesting. They all have solo and group music, and duets/songs with 2, 3 or 4 members, and are very versatile and involved in songwriting. Fun fact: RM (the member with blue hair in this video, the one who speaks fluent english) is about to release a solo album on December 2nd, so we’re all very excited about that!
See that’s awesome that they have solo projects going as well and are helping each other grow. That’s the type of stuff that will set you apart from others. 🙏🏻
My goooood, I loved your reaction, not just because you liked this songs, because it was so genuine and open-minded; many people judge the genre and them for being k-pop artist, korean and other things. You just got another follower, I hope you keep reacting to BTS and get to know them, you'll never regret it and you will fall in love with them. Love, Army 💜💜💜
56 yr old ARMY from Tennessee, USA. I am SO happy to watch a fellow American “get it” instead of being judgmental because it’s different! You said that rap and R&B are your favorite genres, so I’m going to make some suggestions. “Black Swan” (you’ll love it), “ON: Kinetic Manifesto Film Come Prima” (features The Blue Devils Drum Corp and “World of Dance” season 2 winners, The Lab, from California), “Run BTS” Dance practice (this was just released and will give you a great appreciation for their dancing abilities), “Fake Love”, “Louder Than Bombs” (a masterpiece), “We On” and, lastly “Don’t Leave Me”. This last one is, in my opinion, the most underrated BTS song. It’s hauntingly beautiful. BTS has over 300 tracks in their discography when you include all of their solo work. It’s almost impossible to put into words how much they mean to me and what kind of impact they’ve had on my life. I’ll also put in my vote for the 2 best videos to get to know them. These are the only 2 that are up to date as of 2022. “The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2022 update)” by Rice Squad and “A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7” by Taylor. Both are long videos, but if you truly want to get to know them, we ARMYs will be here to support you. Good luck if you choose to jump down the rabbit hole. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love your vibe! Even though you have some prejudices (which is fine because we all humans, many of us armies also had prejudice towards them before we became their fans), you've learned to like their music. Tiny desk concert is a great choice to react to them for the first time, i hope to see more reaction to BTS💜
The thing I love about them is their lyrics tell the truth no matter how ugly that truth is, but even when they are covering a topic as dark as suicide, they always maintain a thread of hope. Spring Day is one of my favourite songs because of how it describes grief, the sadness, longing and love that come with grief, but also the anger and resentment no one talks about. When I found BTS and Spring Day, I was deeply grieving for someone, and I felt so guilty and ashamed of how angry I was with them when they had been sick... Suga's verse made me cry from relief at realising that my anger, resentment and borderline hatred were normal and it didn't mean I didn't also love the person I lost. Spring Day freed me from that shame and guilt, helped me let go of the anger and made my grief an ache instead of splintered glass. I recommend listening to BTS room live as it is a medley of different songs covering a seriously wide range of genres, and if you want to headbang to very angry rap, I recommend the recent live performance of UGH and Cypher Part 3. If you want to dive more into BTS' lyricism, I recommend checking out some videos of songs explaining the lyrics to BTS songs by DKDKTV, fan favourites include Baepsae Dis-ease Ddaeng You have no idea how insanely talented BTS are at writing lyrics, their wordplay is no joke, and so much gets lost in translation. The main lyricists of the group are the three rappers, RM, Suga and J-Hope :)
Yeah that’s super deep and suicide is real unfortunately. Depression is at an all time high so it’s crucial to have relatable music especially beautiful music like this.
@@Kazilla. Yeah, I found a lot of music I could relate to would end up making me feel worse because there was no hope in it, but happier music made me feel isolated and alone. BTS strike that perfect balance between relatability and hope, making so much of their music deeply empathetic and comforting. They don't only write about mental health though, Baepsae is about socioeconomic injustice, and in 2016 they risked their entire career to release a political protest song during a time of significant government corruption and media censorship. They then performed it multiple times on national TV (song is Am I Wrong, the blog Muish ramblings gives an excellent translation). I love that BTS have integrity even when it doesn't benefit them and could harm their career. That is very rare in the entertainment industry.
@@loftyradish6972 Couldn't agree with you more. I can't relate to most new music (I grew up with and love classical music and the great oldies like Ella Fitzgerald... but then I'd randomly like songs like Linkin' Park's Numb, or pretty much all of Bjork's album, Post). I don't vibe with most "mainstream" music because 90% of the time, it feels like it comes from a very hopelessly downtrodden, extremely cynical and callous place, and it makes me feel worse - like you said. I might even like a song but if it makes me feel worse after listening to it a while, then I just have to stop. Sadly, this was the case with some Muse songs - I LOOOVED a lot of their songs from the album "The Resistance", but after a while, I had to admit that it made me feel angry and totally hopeless, like the world's just gonna die soon because we killed it (as true as it may be, it's not the mental trajectory I want to be on - and shouldn't be on if we're to have any hope of thriving). Maybe I should go back and re-listen to see how it affects me now. Anyway, I found BTS about two years ago, and just like you said, they can go deep into all kinds of emotional black holes and yet somehow it doesn't leave you feeling awful and hopeless. Maybe it's because of the force of their personalities coming through. There's something about them that brings you up instead of dragging you down, no matter what they're singing about. Plus their story is so surprising. Most of us assume at first that since they're so popular, they must've had it easy from the beginning and that they're probably just catering to the lowest-common-denominator/non-discerning masses (yes, that mindless teeny-bopper stereotype) - but finding out that this isn't the case AT ALL... it was a fascinating trip down the rabbit hole. And I'm still in it, haha. They are just great human beings, with integrity and authenticity in everything they put out in the world. Even when they swear (in rap line songs), it feels like a humanizing release... but that only works because we know that they don't go around cussing in between every other word in daily life. Sorry for being so long-winded. It's hard to be succinct and minimal when it comes to BTS.
@@Nilaratna Haha, I know that feeling. Prior to finding BTS I mostly listened to The National and early Silverchair, and it was a one way train to the depths of depression. I also found Keane, and their music had hope similar to BTS, but I associate Keane with a not great time of my life, so while they gave me comfort then, I don't listen to them any more. I used to just close my eyes and listen to First Love and The Last and letting myself just _feel_ I was pretty numb and dissociated back then but the rawness of Yoongi's rapping let me feel and start to process the emotions and memories I had been suppressing. I have found quite a few Korean artists do hope similarly to BTS. I think it comes from the Korean concept of Han. BTS do it best, but I also really enjoy some of Epic High, Crush, Dean, Suran, The Rose, IU, Lee Hi and Hyukoh's music and lyrics for the relatability and hope.
@@loftyradish6972 So great to hear that, and happy for you for... resurfacing. The Last gives me that sense of release/catharsis as well. Somehow comforting despite the pain/rawness. I never even listened to rap before BTS. Unlike the typical "dull/monotone" rap I'd heard in passing (in English), BTS' rap voices sound dynamic, raw, emotional, lively, and yes, angry when called for. I was nicely surprised and so impressed. Korean syllables work so well with rap too. As for Han, I won't go there as it's such a hugely complex concept with different interpretations, but I get what you mean. ☺
If you’re more rap heavy, def check out their songs that are more rap line heavy like RUN BTS, UGH, Outro Tear, or some of their solo work like Arson by J-Hope (highly recommend I drove 9 hours to chicago to see this live), Daechwita by Agust D, or Joke by RM! I think those are some that someone more inclined to hip hop wouldn’t expect BTS to do and would really enjoy dissecting some impressive bars
Oh wow that’s a long drive and dedication. So some of them have solo work too, that’s good how versatile they are. Oh nice I didn’t know they have bars too! Thanks for the suggestions I’ll have to check them out!
@@Kazilla. of course man, anytime! Yeahhh they’ve been a group for over a decade so their discography runs DEEP like literally one of them had an album coming out next week (Indigo by RM) But yeah feel free to ask questions! Tbh the easiest place to start is probably where most reactors start by watching a video titled An introduction to the 7 members of BTS
@@Danny-nm1iy haha handing out the keys! Now I’ll definitely have to take a look into this 🙏🏻I’m sure there’s days if not months of their content, they seem to be huge so!
@@Kazilla. Try YEARS. The amount of content they put out in the last month alone is enough to get behind on even as an avid fan LOL. They do the most to entertain their fans, more than I've ever seen from any other artist...ever.
I love that you noticed there was subtitles! and then you went back to the start to see them again! You seemed quite genuine, thanks for giving BTS a try! If you like all types of music...then these 7 artists have you covered! Go ahead! Do a listen of those three songs studio versions if you'd like! Each of those have music videos too as well, I think you'll really have a good time admiring the production of the videos.
Thank you! I always try to be real and myself and give the most genuine thoughts and reaction I can. I do genuinely think this group is talented and I can’t wait to dive into them
omg that was so good thanks for reacting to them hope you react to more bts and blackpink and kpop overall ! it's amazing definitely worth it ! thanx again enjoyed it !😊🙏
I’m 73 from southern Calif. and Army. They do all kinds of music from RandB to rapping. Their dancing and singing on stage is unbelievable. They are number one world wide. They have broken all records of Beatles Micheal Jackson they work with to artist from around the world. They have been invited to UN three times and invited to White House to meet with President on Asian affairs. Made diplomats in Korea. They sell out venues of 90 thousand in minutes around world. They write and produce their music. They have been together since 2010 just kids and went through hell to get to where they are. Spring day is about a ship wreck in Korea where over 200 school children were killed. Read up on it. Also many videos telling about their rise and about them individually. Also about their charities and their work with unicef. These boys would reactive hours on end lived in a one bedroom apt. They are humble kind talented respectful one of a kind. Also they have us Army the biggest Army in the world. Millions of us are devoted
Yes, they wear makeup One of the reasons why BTS must wear makeup is for the aesthetics of their concepts. Many times the colors they use in their clothes, in their settings, will also help to emphasize their faces or bodies. But they look the same without makeup too they look more attractive without makeup. Thanks for your reaction.
@@lasah703 yeah that doesn’t mean “too many” “So many” and “too many” are two different things. There is a lot of them but like I said before they all bring value Also I said that because of the echo they did; I found it cool.
I second the suggestion to watch A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7. It'll answer some of your questions. If you appreciate music, then BTS are the artists for you. I hope we get to watch you continue your journey! Thanks for checking them out!
You love music, then this is a group of guys you can relate well with. They love music so much. It shows in their music, their creativity, their lyrics and their performances. The more you see of them, the more you'll understand and appreciate them. Thanks for the reaction. I will keep a look put for your next BTS reaction. Have a great day ahead.
This is BTS' first song in English which brought them to their first Grammy nomination in 2021. The only Korean Boy group to get Grammy Nomination. They have won over 800 awards including American Music Awards 11 wins and Billboard Music Award 12 wins. Their second all English song BUTTER brought them again to their second Grammy nomination in 2022. Just last week it was announced that they have 3 Grammy nominations again for 2023. They have broken records of legendary artists such as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Celine Dion etc. They have spoken in the UN General Assembly 3 times and just In May this year they were invited by Pres. Biden in the White House to speak about Asian hate. They are producers, composers and song writers. They are incomparable to any other KPOP or even western boy bands of today's generation. They were called by people as the Beatles of the 21st century but they said they would rather be called BTS of the 21st century because it's quite a pressure for them to be called the Beatles. Their music genre include, pop, Hiphop, EDM, R&B, Latin Pop, Balad etc. They are known for their deep, poetic and beautiful lyricism, live stage performance and incredible choreography. Getting a ticket to their concerts is like hunger games. Just recently, the youngest member, Jungkook performed during the opening of FIFA. Their Fandom is called ARMY. We are not just bunch of kids and teenagers but adults aging 20s to even 60s and 70s. I am a 47 year old married woman who fell in love with this amazing and talented young men. They are not just talented artists and performers, they are also philanthropist, fashionistas, brand kings and influencers. Whatever products they touch are sold out. They have collaborated with famous western artist such as Nikki Mina, Halsey, Steve Aoke, Cold Play, Charlie Puth and many others. Each member has their own solo songs and OST which charted #1 on ITunes for more than 100 countries. They are indeed the biggest group in the world. And FYI, they only did covers when they were just rookies. Thanks for Reacting to our boys.
That they have only done covers as rookies isn't completely true. They performed Fix You (by Coldplay, I think) on their MTV Unplugged performance. RM made an Old Town Rd cover called Seoul Town Rd that brought the group to it's first performance on the Grammy stage with Little Nas X and others that covered his song. Jungkook's cover of Savage Love by Jason Derulo debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100's list (becoming the group's second or third #1 on that list in about a month or so). And of course their remake of JCole's song Born Sinner is well loved by ARMY as Born Singer, and we are finally able to have it recorded on their anthology PROOF released in May 2022. I think there are a few others, but I can't remember now, and they just seem to master whatever they sing as if it was always their own, lol. There's probably a few released on their solo efforts on SoundCloud too.
Yes they are huge.. V (real name Kim Taehyung), the one in the centre.. actually broke the fastest to 1M and 10M (in less than 5hrs) followers on Instagram the day they all joined together. Technically they all did, but among them V holds the Guinness World Records.
I understand that the vast majority of people (regular people...producers...vocal analysts or MV editors, etc...) react to BTS songs primarily out of curiosity... to see what happens ... why are they so popular and successful ... in an interview, the leader of BTS, RM... explained very clearly the key to their success: 50% - ARMY; 5% - each member of BTS , which means 35% and the remaining 15% they attribute to the agency that had the courage and confidence that these boys will make history in the world of music... rM explained very clearly that this percentage "keeps" them on the ground... This is precisely why, to understand and appreciate the music and personality of the BTS members, you must definitely take it from the beginning, to gradually see how they got so popular... in 2019 I also joined the ranks of "ARMY", I am 54 years old and I am proud of these people who made my life much more pleasant with their existence!
I'm sure someone already commented on that but both Save Me and Spring Day have MVs. Also, voting for BTS 2021 Festa to react to next. It's a medley of their b-sides from 2013 till 2020. It gives you a good glimpse into their versatility. We don't mind sitting through long videos and absolutely adore when reactors notice the lyrics. The guys have complex, poetic lyrics full of self-reflection and socio-political commentary. The rule of thumb is that the funnier the songs sounds the more serious is the content... Also, a lot of b-sides would only have Concert videos, and if you need them with quality subtitles Enjoy BTS More UA-cam channel is amazing for them. 💜💜💜
@@Kazilla. all 3 songs have official MVs. The songs are Dynamite, Save Me, and Spring Day. Dynamite also has a "B Side" version MV that has outtakes and alternate editing for fun. The group specifically released Dynamite to give energy and cheer to the world during the pandemic. I'd say they nailed it. Their English only songs, Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance, are all pandemic songs, intended to be uplifting, energetic, and cheerful, rather than their more typical songs with deep meaning in the lyrics.
Let me add a big uovoye for Enjoy BTS More channel! Also, the three songs in English were written by other people and writing teams, including Ed Sheeran for one. They were specifically to reach out to the world as we all hunkered down due to the pandemic. At each moment, they look for and talk about what is the best they can share and express through their music to do the most good.
New sub from South Africa 🇿🇦 You were wondering about their story…The group was formed by Big Hit Entertainment, from 2010-2012. They were recruited in various ways - auditions mostly, but Jin was approached getting off a bus, because he was handsome and KPop groups have “visuals”. None of them knew each other before signing as they are from different parts of Korea. I will give you a breakdown, from the order of how they are sitting here for Tiny Desk, from left to right: JHope - stage name, real name HoSeok, nickname Hobi; rapper, main dancer, born Feb 1994; Suga - stage name, real name Yoongi, rapper, born March 1993; Jungkook, nickname Jk/Kookie, main vocalist, lead dancer, born Sept 1997 (youngest); V - stage name, real name Taehyung, nickname Tae, vocalist, born December 1995; Jin - stage name, real name SeokJin, vocalist, born December 1992 (eldest); RM - stage name, real name NamJoon, official leader, rapper, born September 1994; Jimin, vocalist, main dancer, born October 1995. They lived together in a very tiny apartment in the early years, then moved to bigger apartments (all seven shared one bedroom in the beginning, with them still sharing in bigger apartments - Jimin, Hobi, and Tae shared, Yoongi and Jin shared, and RM and Jungkook shared for a while, but then they got their own rooms). Up until this year, they still had an apartment that they shared when their schedules needed them to be together, but the lease expired in June 2022. They have had their own homes for a few years, and now they stay in them - but they spent so many years in very close quarters, together 24/7, that they are now an extremely close family, and call each other brothers. The three rappers are the most prolific song writers in the group - well over 100 songs each, and RM approaching 200 - although all seven have written and composed. Suga is the most prolific producer, and he has produced for many other artists too, but again, all have produced, with the rappers taking the lead. They all dabble with instruments, but Suga is the only one who is truly proficient - he is an excellent pianist. They debuted in 13th June 2013. They mostly sing in Korean, with some English phrases but they have three all-English tracks, all of which were No1 on Billboard (Dynamite, Butter, Permission to Dance). Their discography is varied and immense. In KPop, members often have official roles - main dancer, lead dancer or main vocalist or leader. Main is the top, followed by lead. But for BTS, they don’t really follow this strictly anymore, although Jungkook, as the main vocalist, does have the most parts, and tends to hold the song together with backing vocals and ad libs, and Hobi and Jimin tend to take the lead when it comes to dance. Hobi has a background in street dance as a youngster and Jimin went to a performing arts high school and majored in contemporary dance (he also did martial arts as a kid, which influenced his dance somewhat). All Korean men, over the age of 18, have to serve 18-24 months in the military (technically South Korea is still at war with North Korea), before the age of 28 - there was a special extension given, so BTS qualified to defer military service to age 30. But Jin, the eldest will be 30 in December so the time has come for them to enlist. They will be in a break for this and hope to regroup in 2025 - Jin will enlist in December this year. Yoongi won’t be far behind as he will be 30 in March next year, but they all have some solo projects to release over the next few months, after which they will all enlist in turn (I think), so probably by the end of next year they will all be in the army. In Korea, the surname is usually said first, so for example RM would be Kim NamJoon, with Kim being his surname. They also often use “Korean age”, where their age is 1-2 years older than how we would measure it in the West (that’s why I gave you their birth years, you will hear them say their ages, but it can be confusing). BTS is at its best on stage, these guys are the most incredible performers, so Army especially love it if you watch them perform live, although we also love reactions to mv’s too of course - some of their mv’s have a storyline running through them, related to something called the BU, or Bangtan Universe. Oh, and BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts, and they are sometimes referred to as “Tannies”. There is a very strong bond between BTS and Army, and they will defend and protect us, as we will defend and protect them, because they have gone through a tonne of hate, as have we. But sometimes there will be a toxic “fan” who will jump all over you over stupid stuff - so please, if that happens, just block them and ignore, don’t let them get to you - the internet has some crazies. True Army will support your BTS journey, we love seeing new people discover BTS - and you don’t have to love every song, we all have our own taste - as long as you are respectful, it’s cool (and you seem like a respectful dude). BTS fandom is called Army. 💜💜
WOW this is super detailed, thank you so much for this and thank you so much for the sub it’s much appreciated ❤ That’s super lucky to be recruited off the bus, that is the type of stuff you hear about usually but never know who it happens to. This is like a biography on them basically haha much love thanks for this!
@@Kazilla. sorry my previous comment was so long - I have been Army since 2015, and i follow a few reactors, so I’m familiar with the questions and potential confusion - thought I’d pre-empt it 😂😂🤷♂️ The more I wrote, the more I realized I couldn’t stop 🙈🙏
Loved this!!! I’d highly suggest watching BTS 2021 FESTA. It shows a lot of their discography! I’d highly suggest putting captions! Also, black swan and fake love
And to think you didn't even get to see them dance! You can easily get overwhelmed by the volume of content they produce. One way to dip your toe in would be 2021 BTS Festa- BTS Room Live on BANGTANTV's channel. It consists of a medley of song snippets (mostly B-sides) through the years. It will give you an overview of the genres they cover and is 15 minutes (it feels like less) well-spent.
u mentioning u love all genres is so perfect cus BTS does literally eevry single genre ever. ud be so surprsed how many genres they do. its a given tho considering they have 7 members who probably have differing tastes in one way or another. also since u like r&b and rap, itd be good to react to some of the rappers sruff - jhope, suga (agust d), RM r the three rappers and all have one or more solo mixtapes u can watch if u like. also V has an amazing r&b song called 'singularity' if ur interested
Yes Spring Day was what we call Queen Song cause it still charting on Melon (Music chart on South Korea) until now since it was release last 2015 , was a very well written and most touching songs of BTS it was written by their Leader the one u said that speak English well with blue hair is called RM, he wrote this song for based on their longing for thier friends inspired by his and Suga (the one with black Mic) missing of their friends. And if u watch or listen to their other songs which is a lot u would be blown by their all kind of music genre hope u can react again to BTS💜💜💜
thank you for being an open minded! we do appreciate that you give our boys a chance. a chance to hear their music. they are a league of their own and not the typical boy band and kpop group. if you decide to dive in, be ready hehehe THEY ARE THE BIGGEST GROUP IN THE WORLD TODAY winning so many awards not only in South Korea. also, THEY PERFORM BETTER DURING CONCERTS. their dance practices are also the best!..you said you like all types of music, well, THEY DO ALL TYPES OF MUSIC hahaha ENJOY THE DIVE IN! Borahae!
Dynamite was all over the radio, nominated for Grammy, in Fortnite, Samsung phone commercials and billboard #1 for several weeks. You would have heard it for sure.
what knocks me out about this is in dynamite, the key change I love, and everyone else strains and pushes those notes out, and Jimin just opens his mouth and the notes fall out. sheesh. Save me, J-Hope slayed me. I had to stop and rewind too. You think this is good, they do this while dancing, live, on a huge stage with backing vocals and HOT mics. People go nuts over them doing that with all their songs, most don't realize how hard parts of this song are to sing. and Jin... his vocals are so clear.
Hahahaha. I'm a 60 year old Aussie nana and I absolutely love them, especially the rap line - Suga, RM, and J-Hope. Thank you for reacting to this one. Once you go down the BTS rabbit hole there is no coming back and I'm looking forward to seeing your reaction to some of their other live performances.
I'm a 58 yr old Aussie lady who LOVES BTS!!!! My gateway into BTS in 2017 was MIC Drop (Steve Aoki) REMIX back in 2017(Recommend this one next!!), which my daughter now almost 29 years old showed me the MV as she knows I love hip hop and rap music from the 80s/90s such as Bel Bev Devoe, Heavy D & the boys, C & C, Naughty by Nature, NWA, Public Enemy, Jodeci, Easy E, Snoop ,Dr Dre, Eminem and so many more. With BTS I was totally blown away by their talent straight away. They are so different to any boyband I knew and I am so glad I ventured down their AMAZING very LARGE Rabbit hole!! I am almost 50 years old and they are also my dream, hahahah. Hundreds of spectacular songs. I bet you heard this on a SAMSUNG commercial and you didn´t know it was BTS. Dynamite was played everywhere. You will find they do lots of genres, from Hip Hop to pop, and anything in between. They are amazing performers, huuuuuuge talents the 7 of them. 3 rappers and 4 vocalists. Welcome to the BTS journey. I´ve been ARMY for almost 3 years and I haven´t listened to all their catalogue yet. They look so relaxed and chill cause 10 years of extremeley hard work
I subscribed when you rewound to the beginning of Save Me to read the subtitles and said, "lyrics are important!" That's why I love BTS, because their lyrics are important. I was around for music in the 60s and value musicians with a good message. Thank you for checking out Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS's Korean name). Had to edit this when I heard you mention that you feel like you need a lighter to hold up and sway. We have lightsticks called ARMY bombs (ARMY - Adorable M.C. for Youth is the fandom name). We bring our lightsticks to concerts and use them at home too to connnect via bluetooth to have them sync to the music.
And.....another one bites the dust and falls down the rabbit hole! You obviously have good taste in music. Now you have entire libraries of BTS songs to explore. Nice job for your first reaction!
BTS is great! Their songs always will always have a story to tell, they talk about the good, the bad and the ugly. I think you will really enjoy them. They have music for everyone. Them and their company have the best song writers and producers in my opinion. And their music is phenomenal but once you really get to know who they are then you will see why they are the biggest group in the world. They are just all around a great group of guys. 💜
Thanks for reacting to BTS ! I think they will surprise you on many levels, you're on to a whole lot of surprises ! BTS has, no lie, the wildest range of music any artist have and hundreds of songs. That means, no matter what your genre is, you'll find songs you like and some you'll enjoy less. Anyways, as much as medias like to put groups in a box, BTS is no typical "boyband" and even in the Kpop industry, they're totally different. They're pionniers in some way and to these days, I haven't seen any artist that big being so normal out of stage. They're brothers, and I'm saying that in the less cheesy way ever :’) They literally act like brothers, bickering, laughing, crying, annoying each other... everything. But most of all, they've been working very hard for a decade, literally starting from scratch in a company that was on the verge on bankruptcy only to have made this company one of the biggest economic sources in South Korea nowadays. BTS members write, produce, take part in the artistic concepts, music videos, dance choreographies, ideas... Everything basically, in collaboration with their company staff and artists. They're really on a line of their own and I think you'll see that for yourself when you react to more. That being said, I can't wait to see more of your reactions :) Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. That was my case when I first became a fan (and I'm sure I'm not the only one). I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. The 2 most complete (and amazingly made) guides are : - A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 (by Taylor) - THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS (by xCeleste) In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the journey !!
Hello, let me tell you directly, I have known about kpop artists for a long time, there are many singers and great people, but no one can replace them, not because I'm stupid, but because they are the best at what they do and they prove it every time. The first k-pop group to receive Grammy nominations in 5 categories in a row and opened the performance twice... they bring in more than 300 B per year in the country, they have a red ticket, they have the right to travel to more than 100 countries without a visa They are the most listened to and seen people on UA-cam this yearThe most awarded artist in the entire music industry in just ten years (800+ trophies) ...and you know what they are a legend and I'm really proud of these amazing people. In general, not you, it's unbelievable when you don't like their work and cause trouble for no reason
S club 7 never had a dream come true was my jam back in the day lol Hope you enjoy BTS’s music, they’re truly truly great. I think you’d really enjoy their music given what you said here, bts has such incredible variety amongst al, their group and solo works. They are better live but studio versions are good too, but live is where they truly shine.
Hello! New subscriber here. I'm 53 years old and I'm ARMY about 2 years now. I love these guys so much, both for their talent and for sweet and humble personalities. I hope you will keep react to BTS. Borahae! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
16:29 spring day was written in memory of 300 Korean students who passed away on a tragic accident. Those Students were on a field trip and through circumstances a ferry sunk. They were killed and the government of that city did nothing. It was called the Sewol ferry accident. If you want to research into it. But BTS made the song in honor of that incident more specifically those students
love your reaction..looking forward to more BTS reaction on your channel. We promise you, you will enjoy every single song and performance of BTS. They are extremely talented as a group and as individual..Their songs are always have deep meaning and great messages that are truly helpful and relatable..excited for you..
Loved your reaction. I'm 38 and because of the pandemic =more screen time I discovered them and I was fascinated. I thought I might be a weird one cause probably they would have mainly young fans, but I was sooo wrong. Because of their high quality music they have a very diverse fandom. And they are amazing people/ role models. Please,as others recommended, watch Taylor's guide - the bangtan 7. We will watch it with you. It is well made/ edited and you will find the answer to most of your questions, plus you'll hear snippets of many different songs that will inspire you on what to listen next 🙂
Thank you for this reaction. And I have to say that BTS are not comparable to any other group or band (male or female). They are the biggest group in the world, and they have broken some Beatles records. They have had several #1 on Billboard Hot100, and they have been nominated for Grammys 5 times in three years. They write, compose and produce their own songs, and have many collabs with other artists like Coldplay
Another fact is that BTS is not a pop group, they are originally a hip-hop group but now they cover multiple genres in their music. Almost 70% of their songs have a heavy hip-hop influence. But their few pop songs(in their billions views) are the most known because they blew up in America and the rest of the world. They can REALLY rap and their rapping skills have been compared many times with Eminem without any problem. Thy are the biggest rappers in Korea, and the biggest group in the world, with over 850 awards. Black Pink is a great group but they cannot be compared to BTS for this reasons: 1. BTS turned a company that was near bankruptcy into the most profitable K-pop company, they were nobodies that used to live and sleep in the same bedroom because their company had no money, so it was really really hard for BTS to blow up. While BlackPink were famous since the beginning because their company was huge when they debuted and they had many resources for promotions. 2. BTS were involved in writing and producing their songs since the beginning, their lyrics are so deep and intellectual that are based of books and past thinkers. If you read their song lyrics is like reading a reflection of them. So genuine and honest. While BlackPink lyrics have no deep meaning and are written by other people. Don't get me wrong, I like BP's music and I know how hardworking and talented they are but BTS is in another level. I'm only doing this comparisson for you to have a general idea. If you want to hear the rap line spit some bars react to UGH! and Cypher pt3 at the Yet to come Busan concert. This is a MUST.
Yeah I mean the lyrics were definitely deep and heartfelt. I like BP too, they are really talented but yeah I know what you mean. Although they are beautiful haha. But BTS is definitely talented, good looking and got a lot of stuff going on for them clearly. Thanks for watching!
thank you for reacting to this mini concert, BTS is really versatile in general(music, age group fans, even the members) If you want to learn a little more about why BTS is the best band in the planet I'm sure our lovely ARMY will show you the way
Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions. DynAMIte had me singing and dancing along and i so wanted to be that vinyl record so badly. Save Me had me in my feelings as i was smiling along, swaying and also Jimin, Tae and Jungkook dancing along to the chorus had me laughing so much. Spring Day i had a tear in my eye thru that song and the vocals during it had me in my feelings so badly. And dont get me started on their clothes, i mean Jiminie OMG i was just speechless and on a side note every members english has improved so much im just in love with it, also i love it when they perform with a live band as it just gives off another kind of vibe and its the best when they perform with a live band.
@@Kazilla. alao if you think BTS with 7 members is lots you need to check out Seventeen (has 13 members), EXO ( has about 11 members), Straykids (has 8 members used to be 9), Twice (has 12 members) and finally NCT (has over 20 members ut is split up into sun units which consists of NCT 127, NCT dream, NCT u, Wayv)
Loved the reaction, hope to see more in the future. Also I send a lot af love to all the Armys that spend their time writing long informative comments.💜💜
Thank you for listening to BTS and I could tell that you were gradually enjoying their music as the video went on, hope you would check out more of BTS songs and looking forward to your next BTS reaction, thanks again!!
You seem lovely, thanks for chilling with ARMY. 💜 Hopefully the comment-explosion isn't stressing you out too much, lol. I'm also a choir kid that likes several genres. This ended up being THE group for me in my 30s. They do most genres you'd never expect, and it's never half-assed
Loved this first reaction to BTS, thank you for being so open-minded and paying attention. I feel like you would like one of the members Yoongi's solo work (the second one on the left with a black jacket). He's one of the three rappers in BTS and has written and produced two albums, Agust D and D-2, under his solo name Agust D. His music vary from hardcore diss tracks to his haters (many used to look down on him for becoming an Idol from Korean underground rap) to softer or deeper songs where he raps about themes like mental health, youth, the world, life, and his own experiences and struggles. His use of words in incredible. I hope you continue watching even more of BTS (you'll be surprised how talented and humble all of them are) but even if not I would recommend checking these albums out in your free time :)
Spring Day was dedicated to the lives lost in the Sewol ferry tragedy and the families who were left behind. There is a video made by someone which dissects the song and MV. I cant remember the exact title of the youtube video tho. On the surface, the song sounds like a breakup song but diving deeper, it is really about coping with death and loss of someone dear. 😢
A great introduction to their background is a video called "This Is BTS: An Introduction To BTS" by the channel "xCeleste" . It's less than 14 minutes long and it perfectly summarizes what they are all about, the meaning behind their group name, their backstory, their intentions and relationship they have with each other as well as their fanbase called "ARMY". There are other amazing intros that go further into detail about each member individually, but this one is a great starting point to the whole group as a whole(it doesn't go into deep detail about each member). I highly recommend you watch it first then go into other longer introduction videos like "A Guide To BTS Members: The Bangtan 7" by Taylor Man or "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story Of BTS" by Rice Squad as I have seen recommended.
Thanks for your reaction. BTS has a wide range of genres. They are such talented singer, rappers and dancers. I love their deep lyrics and awesome beats. They have a huge discography. I hope you react to more. Their studio versions are great but when they are on live on stage they are on another level.
Yup instantly subbed before you even finished talking. Please do more BTS, I can tell from this you're really gonna love them. I bet you become ARMY before long! (BTS fandom name) 💜
Why teenage girls?
@@pennyyoung3997 probably because teenage girls tend to go for groups athat happen to have attractive people 🤷♀️
Because you like lyrics, you'll probably like most of their stuff.
Yes I agree ❤ Thank you for the reaction bro.
I am almost 50 and have seen Pink Floyd, U2, Rush (several times), Metallica, and many other great concerts. BTS blows them all away...by a wide margin. They are so talented and most importantly-amazing human beings!!
Wow! Those are some big bands I must say. Yes they really are huge
They are BTS you can't compare them to anyone else. I'm 68 yrs old, and no one has ever been close. Not even Beatles or Stones.
I’m 60 and I agree with you. Check out a band called the rose. K pop rock
Yes, and they’ve actually broken the Beatles record for most #1 albums within a year!
One thing I want to point out that is a massive plus about you is that when you realized you didn't have subtitles, you put them on and went BACK. A lot of reactors just put the subtitles on when they remember to and don't run it back. That is a HUGE plus to ARMY and shows that you care. We thank you💜 welcome to the rabbit hole that is BTS
exactly! i almost cry when he replayed that part after the subs
They are the #1 group in the world (not just kpop). They are rappers, vocalists, dancers, lyricists, producers, entertainers . . . LEGENDS!
Yeah I was going to say they seem very versatile and I’m sure I have yet to see anything haha
Don’t call them K-pop. They are a genre of their own. No other groups can compare with these legends
These videos are long, but ARMY(BTS fans) are not scared of this and will gladly watch them with you 💜
Thanks for that I really appreciate it!
Yeah I may just have to do that. I’ll do my best to dive in!
I think the video of TAYLOR MAN will be great
have a great journey of knowing BTS 💜💜💜
@@Kazilla. pls watch all BTS stuff with us, ARMYs will watch a 2 hour reaction of something we've seen 1000x +!
@@Kazilla. and if you want an idea of what they can do in a concert, I attach one of my favourite performances. It' s 8 minutes, 2 songs

Please....react to"A guide to BTS members:the bangtan 7"by taylor
47 right here and i love these amazing young men…
I am at my 40s, found BTS from 2 y.o baby who adores Jimin a lot. You can express your reaction the way you want, ofc. it's us, Army from all over the world, no limit in ages, in race, in skin color, in language, who are very welcoming if you want to know BTS further. Thank you for your reaction.
54 in a month! me too 💜
They are seven very different artists, and that's why we have musical variety.
I am 55.
hey ARMY we are same age! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
All types of music? Sounds like you're a good fit for BTS 😊 Thank you for being open minded, respectful, appreciative and interested in our pride and joy! Adding to the age comments... 47 here and adore BTS! 💜
Yes I love music! I really do, and I can’t wait to dive into BTS more! Thanks for watching 😇
I'm 50 yo and i am a huge fan of BTS (ARMY)
I'm 46 and am Army. Love these guys. They are best.
Im 35 and I LOVE BTS💜💜💜
I'm 53
Some of the ARMY was saying they couldn’t hear sometimes when I talk over the audio so I will try and fix that for my next videos!
💜
Wow, they are around my age 😅
Wow so they do have a leader I didn’t know.
Army is really going to like you. You're open minded, value quality music, care about the lyrics and recognize their talent.
Hey thanks for watching! There is an abundance of responses, I was not expecting thing but I will definitely be checking this content out!
Love how you always pointed out how well-written their lyrics are. This is one of the reasons why a lot of us gravitated towards them. They inspire me to learn korean language. Their ability to make wordplays & double to triple entendres across languages (Korean, Japanese, and English) are astounding.
Yeah! They have really good written lyrics and very poetic. I like it.
Wow that’s a crazy story for sure and yeah I wasn’t sure! I just know BP was big but clearly BTS is huge!
@@Kazilla. I think BP is indeed the biggest group in the K-Pop industry
As for BTS, it had long surpassed the whole K-Pop industry so there's actually no point putting them in the box called 'K-pop'
So there's also no point in comparing them to Black Pink
Cause Black Pink is a classic example of 'K-pop'
While BTS is just BTS
@@rafaelsmith5737 the biggest is twice just bp is more well known in US and have more commercial support

Here are the links:

Much appreciated! Thanks for watching and I look forward to the journey 😀
I like how chilled you are, and how varied your self confessed taste in music is. Most of the people who listen to BTS seem to be very ecclectic in their taste of music. Music is universal. So as it should be. Thanks man.
Yeah exactly! I just love music for what it is, honestly. These guys are talented and there’s no questions about that
I love watching reactors recognize BTS for their incredible art and talent.
Really like your reactions... welcome to the Kpop world and the BTS Universe....
Thanks so much!
Aww thank you so much! Yes I try to always keep an open mind. When it comes to music I can respect and appreciate it all!
If you want to dive more into BTS' lyricism, I recommend checking out some videos of songs explaining the lyrics to BTS songs by DKDKTV, fan favourites include
Baepsae
Dis-ease
Ddaeng
You have no idea how insanely talented BTS are at writing lyrics, their wordplay is no joke, and so much gets lost in translation.
Yeahhh they’ve been a group for over a decade so their discography runs DEEP like literally one of them had an album coming out next week (Indigo by RM)

You seem like a nice person. Watching you reacting to the guys was very entertaining in a comforting way.
Subscribing 😊💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I'm 47 and love these guys so much
Thank you for reacting to our boys! I loved this so much!💜 I love how open minded you are. so excited to watch you on your BTS journey!
I have been an ARMY since day one and I'm over 60+. Not just teenagers! ARMY comes in all ages and genders.
I didn’t say only teenage girls….
YES! lyrics are very important with these guys!!
7 members , and you said there are too many. Of course, because they are more than enough for us. And we love them so much.
I don’t think I said too many, I said there’s a lot though haha 😂
@@Kazilla. time span 7:40 you told "there's so many of them" 🙂.
@@lasah703 yeah that doesn’t mean “too many”
“So many” and “too many” are two different things. There is a lot of them but like I said before they all bring value
Also I said that because of the echo they did; I found it cool.
Thanks so much! Yes I love discovering new music and going down the rabbit hole so thanks for watching and going down with me!
Wow a Grammy nomination is huge, clearly dealing with a big group here.
Thanks for watching!
“They must be every teenage girls dream”…boy I’m 29 and they’re my dream 😂 each one of them is 🤌🏻 beautiful inside AND out.
Hahaha this girl. 😅 yeah well there you go! Living proof that they are a dream hehe
I am going to have to check out the content for sure. Incoming rabbit hole!
@@Kazilla. all 3 songs have official MVs.
New sub from South Africa 🇿🇦
You were wondering about their story…The group was formed by Big Hit Entertainment, from 2010-2012. They were recruited in various ways - auditions mostly, but Jin was approached getting off a bus, because he was handsome and KPop groups have “visuals”. None of them knew each other before signing as they are from different parts of Korea. I will give you a breakdown, from the order of how they are sitting here for Tiny Desk, from left to right:
JHope - stage name, real name HoSeok, nickname Hobi; rapper, main dancer, born Feb 1994;
Suga - stage name, real name Yoongi, rapper, born March 1993;
Jungkook, nickname Jk/Kookie, main vocalist, lead dancer, born Sept 1997 (youngest);
V - stage name, real name Taehyung, nickname Tae, vocalist, born December 1995;
Jin - stage name, real name SeokJin, vocalist, born December 1992 (eldest);
RM - stage name, real name NamJoon, official leader, rapper, born September 1994;
Jimin, vocalist, main dancer, born October 1995.

That’s super lucky to be recruited off the bus, that is the type of stuff you hear about usually but never know who it happens to.
Yeah that makes sense. He did have good English too! And that song was truly beautiful
They are the best 💜
thank you for being an open minded! we do appreciate that you give our boys a chance. a chance to hear their music. they are a league of their own and not the typical boy band and kpop group. if you decide to dive in, be ready hehehe THEY ARE THE BIGGEST GROUP IN THE WORLD TODAY winning so many awards not only in South Korea. also, THEY PERFORM BETTER DURING CONCERTS. their dance practices are also the best!..you said you like all types of music, well, THEY DO ALL TYPES OF MUSIC hahaha ENJOY THE DIVE IN! Borahae!
Hey! I appreciate that and yeah that’s awesome that they are able to do so many styles! I’m excited to dive into their content
Dynamite was all over the radio, nominated for Grammy, in Fortnite, Samsung phone commercials and billboard #1 for several weeks. You would have heard it for sure.
Yeah I knew it sounded familiar 😅
what knocks me out about this is in dynamite, the key change I love, and everyone else strains and pushes those notes out, and Jimin just opens his mouth and the notes fall out.
I like you were so open minded and could appreciate music as it is. As an Army makes me really happy to see you could enjoy BTS.

I really did enjoy this concert. I’m excited to do more!

Thanks for commenting and watching! I always try and keep an open mind in life :)
That being said, I can't wait to see more of your reactions :)
Also, I think you should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS.
The 2 most complete (and amazingly made) guides are :
- A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 (by Taylor)
- THIS IS BTS | Introduction to BTS (by xCeleste)
In any case, I hope you'll enjoy the journey !!
Hello, let me tell you directly, I have known about kpop artists for a long time, there are many singers and great people, but no one can replace them, not because I'm stupid, but because they are the best at what they do and they prove it every time. The first k-pop group to receive Grammy nominations in 5 categories in a row and opened the performance twice... they bring in more than 300 B per year in the country, they have a red ticket, they have the right to travel to more than 100 countries without a visa
They are the most listened to and seen people on UA-cam this yearThe most awarded artist in the entire music industry in just ten years (800+ trophies) ...and you know what they are a legend and I'm really proud of these amazing people.
In general, not you, it's unbelievable when you don't like their work and cause trouble for no reason
For the ones in the back, MORE THAN 800 trophies and awards. 💜💜💜
S club 7 never had a dream come true was my jam back in the day lol
Hope you enjoy BTS’s music, they’re truly truly great.
I think you’d really enjoy their music given what you said here, bts has such incredible variety amongst al, their group and solo works.
They are better live but studio versions are good too, but live is where they truly shine.

Seems like such a solid fan base and reaction fan base. I will definitely check out more!
Yeah they apparently have a huge fan base above 40 so! Thanks so much for watching and I’ll get to some more content! 😇
They're amazing♡ they're 7 guys, 3 rappers and 4 vocalists
Black Pink is a great group but they cannot be compared to BTS for this reasons:
Thanks for watching!
thank you for reacting to this mini concert, BTS is really versatile in general(music, age group fans, even the members) If you want to learn a little more about why BTS is the best band in the planet I'm sure our lovely ARMY will show you the way
Can we appreciate how open minded this young man is!! Subbed
Aww thanks! I appreciate that a lot! Look forward to the next videos I do on them 🙏🏻😊
Omg this was so cute, they had me dancing and sing along to the three songs, the choice of songs sent e from being happy to sad and i went in a roller coaster of emotions.
Yeah they definitely chose 3 good songs for this performance. Very different
@@Kazilla. alao if you think BTS with 7 members is lots you need to check out Seventeen (has 13 members), EXO ( has about 11 members), Straykids (has 8 members used to be 9), Twice (has 12 members) and finally NCT (has over 20 members ut is split up into sun units which consists of NCT 127, NCT dream, NCT u, Wayv)

Thanks so much! The rabbit hole has started 🙏🏻
BTS is the most versatile and dynamic artist of their time....their achievement is far from what other kpop artist have ever achieved....
Gotta say , love this first time react, the fact that you are confused at points, and havent researched them and faked this is refreshing.
Thanks for your reaction. BTS has a wide range of genres. They are such talented singer, rappers and dancers. I love their deep lyrics and awesome beats. They have a huge discography. I hope you react to more. Their studio versions are great but when they are on live on stage they are on another level.
Dynamite has been used in ads and commercials, on lots of social media apps, so you have likely heard it before! It's their song.
Yup instantly subbed before you even finished talking. Please do more BTS, I can tell from this you're really gonna love them. I bet you become ARMY before long! (BTS fandom name) 💜
Haha thanks so much! I really appreciate that and I definitely want to do more of their content!
