As a real vinyl enthusiast I suppose that your main turntable is something vintage direct-drive with aluminium S-shaped tonearm.:-) But these ones are great as second turntable and at the moment they are even more cheap. Because new models are available and these 80`s looking units are going into a retirement.

More advanced Sony turntable is seen in newer videos, tonearm is also straight. It was never confirmed that S-shaped tonearm has any advantage. Audiophile turntables for over 500K$ have straight tonearm and belt drive.

Just got this turntable yesterday, how come when recording my vinyl I can’t hear the song after recording?

Depends on a lot of factors. Not enough details to tell more exactly, but the most common thing that you have incorrectly configured the recording software or forgot to configure recording interface in sound options in case you record empty files.

Vinyl Together did you have to use a sound card?

Sure. You can use a standalone recorder too.

I just bought this record player. What kind of speakers are you connected to?

Turntable is in phono mode and connected to line-in of ESI Juli@. What you hear here is a digital recording made in Sony Sound Forge at 192 kHz / 24 bit. Speakers connected to out of Juli@ are Sven Royal 2.

Dig the wow & flutter! Reminds me of my $19 rover masterworks from 1962. Upgrade dude! Flac or no flac, the warbling sound is treacherously unlistenable.

It keeps speed perfectly without any flutter, this is clearly seen by spectrogram on rhythmic music. Also I've used laser tachometer to check that initially. What you hear is on the record, maybe there was a problem with flutter on master tape deck or it was intended to sound like that.
