I have done this my share of times dating back to 2003. Although with that said as time goes on my desire to do all the required work has reduced however I do maintain a handful of servers many of which were installed 10+ years ago.
Clear linux has potential but right now it fucking sucks. Overall though I think gentoo will be dead in a year or two, due to lack of basement dwellers to maintain it or use it as a full time system. Alpine is supperior in regards to embedded application developement and void is just fucking stupid

init would be the first program. I've keyworded the last blender, took to cuda and I would love to share my settings lol.
