It’s crazy how you don’t even notice how stiff your muscles are until you do these, I can only imagine the amount of injuries yoga has helped me prevent

@@YogaWithBird It's hip stretching, so this is good. I just wasn't feeling the muscle groups you referenced and wondered if I'd missed a step.
@@sephyhk I'm not sure entirely which muscle groups you're talking about or which muscle groups i mentioned? You stated you feel these stretches in your hips but then assume you're doing it wrong? i'm very confused im sorry lol i'm an open ear to help understand better though! 💗💗These poses target the inner and outer hips and lower back. if you didn't feel a specific stretch maybe you need something more intense or a different set of poses. everyone will feel yoga poses differently as every body is unique.
@Yoga With Bird You'd mentioned quads and hamstrings so I was assuming I should feel something, however I believe that will happen once my hips relax a bit more. :) BTW you explain the poses really well and explaining what to focus on softening has improved my practice immensely. I appreciate you.
@@sephyhk you may or may not feel a stretch in the quads, that pose is very "light" and if you did not feel it in that specific pose you probably need something deeper, it was just an opening pose for the supine twist. the hamstrings is also the same situation as the legs were bent rather than straight...if you didn't feel it you may need a deeper pose or a different stretch all together. hope this makes more sense💗💗

Hi Bird, I wanted to thank you so much for this video. Ive always had such a complicated relationship with rest. My mom used to always get upset at me for taking naps and for resting when I needed to. I always feel guilty now when I listen to my body and giving it time to rest, it even gives me anxiety. But this video has helped me so much. When you said that I was valid in this space of rest I literally cried. Thank you for understanding and thank you for such a beautiful practice. your voice is so soothing and you create such a lovely environment. God Bless x
Rest is mental health and self care. Not everyone understands this but know deep down inside that you are worthy of honouring what your body and mind needs 💘
