Appreciate this detailed info on kwh/kilometer. I'm in U.S. so use miles, but I get on average 177 miles per about 70% of charge(sorry I don't have more specific info on hand), which I am very happy with on road trips.
I look forward to your regular tests from Oslo to Kristiansand, hope you recover soon👍 One thing though about these range test like today’s video: I am afraid you are to optimistic when you always assume that available energy is the net capasity minus 3%… Very often this this net capacity is a theoretical number from an ideal laboratory test… You should drive every car at least once from 100% to 0% and measure the real life available capacity.

I have to ask this: why are you guys always testing ev's on high speed highways? Most people drive around the city, country roads, and occasionally on highways too.. I have a 2012 Leaf, and I know its limitations.. but I drove this car from Skien, across Haukeli and to Bergen... Average consumption was 0.12 wH pr km, summertime, spent 1h 25 charging... Think those high speed tests might discourage many regular drivers from getting an ev....
Finaly welome back to ordinary testing. and i am going to driv just there In middle of July Going to Espa to by Buns at bolleland :) Hemsedal and taking the nigth at a hotell in Hemsedal for Nostalgic reasons did a Week Skiing at 1986 att Hemsedal skicenter and Rjukan Becaus of Historical reasons and for the Landcsape.
Well you can always use the 'Barely Legal' phrase as another YT'er in Norway uses whenever he is speeding or hammering it. However on your range tests you need to be consistent don't be varying them all the time should be the same route for every car same speed same AC/Heating setting same start and finish and finish should be almost or at 0% SoC. For context watch InsideEV's range tests in the US with Kyle Conner & Tom Moloughney they have a standardised range test that they do so that way it is apples to apples comparison other than the weather such as summer vs winter but then they may do it again in the opposite season to compare.
But all my range tests are standardized and done on the same route at the same speed and distance. Only variables that cannot be controlled is weather temperature, weather and traffic.
Great review again Kris. We tested both EV6 and C40 on the same day. Our conclusion was that the EV6 seats were poor. Too short and with a headrest that would not go far enough back. We chose the C40 and got in the queue for a car (arrives February). Did the EV6 seats fit you any better?
Nice vidéo. 20 is a bit high, my Ev6 is able to do a slighly better (18 to 19). Btw your loop is your loop, and your driving consistency too. Eco mode in the Ev6 is totally useless, you can drive in normal, that is more satisfying, and consume not more. Hope you’ll recover totally very soon.
3.1 miles / klw is really not that good. That’s like 230 miles of range vs 310 epa es times. I understand highway speeds, vs teat at 48-50, but this is still crap. It should get 3.5+

I'm getting closer to the fact that I need to return the car to you. the panel is all shiny from the sun, everything is reflected on the windshield, it is very dangerous when driving. the seats are very uncomfortable
I switched from a Tesla Model 3 to a Kia ev6 earlier this year. The kia ev6 is really satisfying. I think it's the best electric car.
I'm assuming you prefer the Kia?

Make a test with a Polestar DMLR with the latest 2.2 OTA , supposedly it have a range increase and the last condition wasn't great with rain and 10°

Kris, I believe 77.4 kWh is the gross capacity of the battery, the net capacity is around 72 kWh, so the range is less than what you have calculated
There you are wrong, the output we get from the battery is 77,4 kWt but the battery size is actually 82,5 kWt

Exactly my feel,like headrest pushing head forwards so that was my dealbreaker and I ordered Ioniq5 instead and I love it :)

Eco mode is super usefull with the AWD

Why didn't you start at 100 % battery, see that you started the range test at 93 % battery,then you will not get right distance
What % the test starts at doesn’t matter because as stated in the video the calculation is consumption divided by battery size 😊

RWD ev6 is already pretty gutless. I can't imagine driving it around in eco mode... Good results in pretty ideal conditions.
