I keep returning to this set up whenever I want to go on this trip... thinking... why would I take my mirrorless and few other things when I can just take this? Wow great job that is a champions setup. I like that you specified the camera must be in manual mode on your ohone when you shoot with ND filter because lots of people tell me ND filter dont work but they dont tell me their camera is on auto mode.
Thank you... yes this is one crazy set up 😁😁 but everything is there ... honestly if I will travel I rather that this then bug camera with one lens... I could have more fun with this.. but.... but as we know filming with M50 is just way easier then filming with phone.. when I compare it it is just way easier. 🤗📷📽📱📹

Hi Zdenka, I am enjoying your channel! I have the Moment Lens & DJI Osmo 3 but I use the iphone XS . I bought the MV88 microphone & the Saramonic wireless microphone kit. I did a ton of research first and the microphones so far just a confusing issue. The MV88 while testing is fine but then during filming it gets a terrible noise in it. I have had to delete the app twice but thats to late after a LIVE event. The Saramonic as far as I can tell has no way to fix the gain. If there is an app it was not mentioned in the manual. Our voices come out pretty awful. I have the FilmMic Pro app also and find it so hard to figure out. I also have LumaFusion which seems easier but still complicated. Thank you again for your expertise !! Learning this is fun tho ... most of the time !

Much easier to capture the film on your camera as good as possible using the anamorphic lenses and decompress it as you film. Instead if doing it in post production... ot seems to be the best way to see your movie and imagine the end result. When its already decompressed and shot as close to the way you u want it as u possibly can. To save urself alot of extra post production steps and the headaches of the editing process. Your gonna need to cut it and color correct etc. At least u eliminated one big step of decompressing. Which could also cause some distortions in post production. Just one suggestion in my part anyways.. Good video here.. good use of sound booms and the L.E.D. light for shooting at night or low light.

I'm a Dancefitness and Yoga-Teacher and I produce online courses & tutorials with my mobile... Until now I only used my L4 G4 with a tripod. It's quite ok for the beginning. Now I'd like to add more quality especially to the sound. I'm interested in a indoor setup to shoot my moving/dancing practise... With music and a clear voice... And I'm already searching for years now. Perhaps you have an idea how to solve it with the osmo 3... Thanks again for your great explanations!

My question I had for you was now that counterweights available for the osmo 3, do you prefer to use the osmo 3 or smooth 4 when it come to the Galaxy s10 plus and moment lenses? Thank you, Zdenka! I only wish I saw this video last night before I ordered a Zhiyun Smooth Q2. I thought I would have better luck with Moment lenses with the Q2, but I like some of the features that the Osmo Mobile 3 has. I think I can get Smooth Q2 counterweights. I'll have to look into it.

Great video. I'm a big fan. Do you have any suggestion on external audio with phones that are lacking a 3.5mm jack? I have a note 10 plus and it doesn't have a 3.5mm adapter. Do u think a usbc to 3.5mm adapter would work?
An accessoir that I like to use is an l-shape flash bracket. With it I don't need any grips to fix a microphone and flashlight at the gimbal. Is filmic pro the best video app for dji osmo 3 on Android? I have heard that filmic pro is better on iphone than Android.

Can I tilt lock the osmo without using the app? I want to walk with the camera of my phone in selfie position with the osmo m 3 but with another app. For example, using using skype. I'm a journalist, so sometimes I need to give interviews while im walking down the street. Can I do the same that you do in the video, with like follow mode but without the app?
Hmm. Do you think the anamorphic lens filter and counterweights altogether might put too much stress on the motors over time? I’d rather save a lot of money and buy the dji osmo gimbal 3 instead of the freefly movi cinema robot but I worry dji can’t handle the stress load.
That is something I would like to know myself. Moment guys state on their website that it works DJI a bit hard. I am using it fully to see if it is really the case as it is my job to fully test it. Sk far I dont see problems but I can feel that it is pushing the motors. I have other gimbals here and DJI has the weakest motors unfortunately... 📽📱📹📷

Hi Zdenka, thank you for another informative video. i can't tell if the TRS to TRRS cable is suitable for the Galaxy Note10+. There is only the usb 3 "charging hole" at the bottom of my phone so all headphones, etc have to use a USB C style of plug. Do you happen to know when Filmic Pro will be supported with the OSMO 3? Keep up the good work.
Thank you for sharing... yes if you dont have the regular hole for headphones then it is not going to work for you... it goes to the hole where you connect headphones... unfortunately I have no idea when osmo 3 becomes compatible with filmic pro.... 🤗📱📽📷📹
Very informative Video! I feel it would be more engaging to compare moment app to filmic pro with pros and cons of each especially since moment can be used for free. People who are on a budget after buying their gimbal, rode mike and ulanzi lens would be grateful to be able save some money by using the moment app if your comparison demonstrates that it as good as filmic or better.📸📸📸

Hello Zdenka, Great video! I am thinking to buy the Osmo, and to use it with my new Samsung S20 Ultra. But I like to protect the phone in a case even when in use with the Osmo . Now I am wondering if this might cause problems due to the weight and size, because the resulting weight easily will exceed the specified maximum of the Osmo (230 grams). However, when I saw your video with the S10plus, the case, the counter weight and the lenses, I think this is quite heavy as well. And it seems to work well. Can you let me know how heavy the mobile, the case and lens and counter weight are together? More than 230 grams? And how about the width and the thickness of the case? Thanks for your reply!
Great information. I’ll be adding a few items to my travel pack. Have you found any issue with the hot shoe getting in the way of the Osmo trigger as some have stated in their reviews?
World love to use Filmic Pro with my anamorphic lens but I end up using the Moment app because the Filmic Pro exposure reticle doesn't work on my Note. Works ok with manual exposure but can't tap to set exposure. Highly annoying considering the price of the app.
Great video and channel! I have a similar same setup :) However I seemed to have lightly scratched the outside of my anamorphic lens when tightening the filter adapter on it, as the little screw goes completely through the rubber. I noticed you have some sort of tape or protector on your anamorphic lens that seems to solve this problem. I was wondering what kind of tape you are using? Thanks!
Has anyone come across a problem with the lock brightness feature in the DJI Mimo app? Is it supposed to reset after every shot? Also I've experienced some blurring when paning from a darker object to a lighter scene. Filming with a Samsung s9. These tutorials are golden (especially for Android users)!

Lavalier mic that does a good job and a small Rode external Rode mic that I'm not happy at all. I like your set up and I'll buy the clip, large Rode mic and light. Question... I have a lower cost Honor 20 quadcamera smartphone. I have been unable to understand if I can fit or not an anamorphic lens. Could you help? Great job! Really helpful.

Hello Zdenka, how much does the ring adaptor interfere with operation and reaching the controls of the Osmo. I've seen other adaptors that connect to the bottom of the Osmo. I'm just curious why you chose the ring adaptor as oppose to the one that goes on the bottom? And thanks for the wonderful videos. I just purchased gimbal and I've learned a lot from viewing your videos :).

Thank you so much for those tutorials! I just got the dji Osmo 3 and have not yet any idea how to use it for my business. I'm a Dancefitness and Yoga-Teacher and I produce online courses & tutorials with my mobile... Until now I only used my L4 G4 with a tripod. It's quite ok for the beginning. Now I'd like to add more quality especially to the sound. I'm interested in a indoor setup to shoot my moving/dancing practise... With music and a clear voice... And I'm already searching for years now. Perhaps you have an idea how to solve it with the osmo 3... Thanks again for your great explanations!

My question I had for you was now that counterweights available for the osmo 3, do you prefer to use the osmo 3 or smooth 4 when it come to the Galaxy s10 plus and moment lenses? Thank you, Zdenka! I only wish I saw this video last night before I ordered a Zhiyun Smooth Q2. I thought I would have better luck with Moment lenses with the Q2, but I like some of the features that the Osmo Mobile 3 has. I think I can get Smooth Q2 counterweights. I'll have to look into it.
If you have very big phone then it might be easier with Q2.... hopefully you will enjoy it.... 🙃📷📱📽📹

I have a question how is the battery life on the gimbal with all the extra weight? I know it balances but does it still drain the battery?
It will drain battery little bit faster as yes more weight will use more....but if you balance it well it shouldn't be such a big difference 🙂📱📷📽📹
Great video. I'm a big fan. Do you have any suggestion on external audio with phones that are lacking a 3.5mm jack? I have a note 10 plus and it doesn't have a 3.5mm adapter. Do u think a usbc to 3.5mm adapter would work?

An accessoir that I like to use is an l-shape flash bracket. With it I don't need any grips to fix a microphone and flashlight at the gimbal.

Can I tilt lock the osmo without using the app? I want to walk with the camera of my phone in selfie position with the osmo m 3 but with another app. For example, using using skype. I'm a journalist, so sometimes I need to give interviews while im walking down the street. Can I do the same that you do in the video, with like follow mode but without the app?
Hmm. Do you think the anamorphic lens filter and counterweights altogether might put too much stress on the motors over time? I’d rather save a lot of money and buy the dji osmo gimbal 3 instead of the freefly movi cinema robot but I worry dji can’t handle the stress load.
That is something I would like to know myself. Moment guys state on their website that it works DJI a bit hard. I am using it fully to see if it is really the case as it is my job to fully test it. Sk far I dont see problems but I can feel that it is pushing the motors. I have other gimbals here and DJI has the weakest motors unfortunately... 📽📱📹📷

Hi Zdenka, thank you for another informative video. i can't tell if the TRS to TRRS cable is suitable for the Galaxy Note10+. There is only the usb 3 "charging hole" at the bottom of my phone so all headphones, etc have to use a USB C style of plug. Do you happen to know when Filmic Pro will be supported with the OSMO 3? Keep up the good work.
Thank you for sharing... yes if you dont have the regular hole for headphones then it is not going to work for you... it goes to the hole where you connect headphones... unfortunately I have no idea when osmo 3 becomes compatible with filmic pro.... 🤗📱📽📷📹
Very informative Video! I feel it would be more engaging to compare moment app to filmic pro with pros and cons of each especially since moment can be used for free. People who are on a budget after buying their gimbal, rode mike and ulanzi lens would be grateful to be able save some money by using the moment app if your comparison demonstrates that it as good as filmic or better.📸📸📸
Well..... moment app is not free. You have to purchase it and I don't have access to that unless I buy it myself.... unfortunately 🙃📱📽📷📹

Hello Zdenka, Great video! I am thinking to buy the Osmo, and to use it with my new Samsung S20 Ultra. But I like to protect the phone in a case even when in use with the Osmo . Now I am wondering if this might cause problems due to the weight and size, because the resulting weight easily will exceed the specified maximum of the Osmo (230 grams). However, when I saw your video with the S10plus, the case, the counter weight and the lenses, I think this is quite heavy as well. And it seems to work well. Can you let me know how heavy the mobile, the case and lens and counter weight are together? More than 230 grams? And how about the width and the thickness of the case? Thanks for your reply!
I honestly don’t know the weight but it could overheat the motors so just cautious with that. 😊📸🎬🎥

World love to use Filmic Pro with my anamorphic lens but I end up using the Moment app because the Filmic Pro exposure reticle doesn't work on my Note. Works ok with manual exposure but can't tap to set exposure. Highly annoying considering the price of the app.

Great video and channel! I have a similar same setup :) However I seemed to have lightly scratched the outside of my anamorphic lens when tightening the filter adapter on it, as the little screw goes completely through the rubber. I noticed you have some sort of tape or protector on your anamorphic lens that seems to solve this problem. I was wondering what kind of tape you are using? Thanks!
I don’t have any tape there.... it is scratched in the side too.... the fit is tight
Has anyone come across a problem with the lock brightness feature in the DJI Mimo app? Is it supposed to reset after every shot? Also I've experienced some blurring when paning from a darker object to a lighter scene. Filming with a Samsung s9. These tutorials are golden (especially for Android users)!

Hello Zdenka, how much does the ring adaptor interfere with operation and reaching the controls of the Osmo. I've seen other adaptors that connect to the bottom of the Osmo. I'm just curious why you chose the ring adaptor as oppose to the one that goes on the bottom? And thanks for the wonderful videos. I just purchased gimbal and I've learned a lot from viewing your videos :).
